Came for dinner and ended up having an awesome experience at the bar during happy hour. Excellent Bar Bites at very good prices! Our favs were the Artichokes de Jonghe, Pork Kabobs, Italian Meatballs, and Patatas Bravas. Will return!
We had the lamb shank and the Chilean sea bass. The dishes were cooked perfectly but were too salty for our taste. The server was very friendly and helpful.
I've been to Meze several times now and have enjoyed it very much every time. The outdoor dining area is great in the summer. On our last visit this past Saturday night, we dined with friends who hadn't been there before. There's always a bit of anxiety when you bring friends to a place that you've recommended. They loved it! Dishes we had and would recommend include the beet salad (my favorite!), bacalao special, grilled octopus, dolma, breaded artichoke hearts, and carrot cake for dessert. The crowd that night was a mix of all ages, which is nice to see. The food, the service, the ambiance, the wine - Meze has it all!
Very clean and pleasant place. Food was good ... some plates were big and some were small .... so best to ask how many they serve before ordering.
Excellent food and service would definitely go back!
Gorgeous inside and everyone was very pleasant and helpful but the food was low grade. Both of our entrees were loaded with salt, the fatoush salad had some oddly sweet dressing, and the tzatziki was bitter.
Lovely space to dine. We had a wonderful appetizer and two great meals. Service was courteous and efficient. Will go back again to try another option.
Enjoyed the appetizer dates, husbands lamb risotto good, my seared scallops not good. They weren’t seared and were mushy. The lemon quinoa was a little too lemony. The chocolate cake for dessert was nice.
Went to bar after for after-diner drink and live music. Very good.
Wonderful food in either small plates to share or entrees. Great bar and inventive cocktails
The food and service were great!! Not only did the manager stop by, but so did the owner. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning soon.
Just make sure you have plenty of product on hand to serve dessert.
The place was completely empty when we arrived yet it took 10 minutes to get a drink order, service was extremely slow throughout the entire dining experience. The order the Sea Bass (server recommended) was absolutely awful, it was over seasoned and overcooked. I would never go back or recommend. Very disappointed.
We had a great time! Food and service was awesome.
While the manager was very kind to offer free complimentary dessert(s) for the long service time and order mess up my dinner party experienced....the overall disappointment of our reservation here, and Lurch the waiter, didn’t leave us with the warm and fuzzies of satisfied diners.
The food wasn't bad, but it also wasn't great. Flatbread was a bit messy (topping could of been chopped a bit more and there was arugula on everything for some reason. The appetizers were ok, presentation was a bit generic. Drinks were extremely overpriced. $11 for a small cocktail seemed a bit much. I bet this place would be better for lunch? Very loud with the tile floors.
We have been coming to Meze since the summer. We have been bringing friends and family and everyone loves it every time we go. We love to share the different appetizers. Then we usually share an entrée or two. Wonderful wine selection at reasonable prices. Mixed drinks are always done perfectly. The service is always excellent and very friendly staff. Our favorite place!
Excellent food. Great Vegetarian options.
It was our first dining experience. Both Stan and I enjoyed our meal. I am planning a luncheon for a close friend at Mezé next month.Although busy at the time Rebecca , the manager came to meet me.
Great service and even though there was a band in the bar we could easily talk at the table.
Meze is a very nice dining experience. Although it is called a Mediterranean restaurant, the menu is more Greek focused. The quality of the ingredients are much higher than a typical Greek restaurant. The service is outstanding. The manager and the owner both came by to see how we were doing. Excellent attention from the entire staff. For our meal, we ate the meze only, like at a tapas restaurant. Don't miss the octopus--the best I have had outside of Greece! The menu is clearly marked for gluten free and vegetarian options. Gluten free bread was provided so our gluten free diner could enjoy all the dips. Highly recommend.
Awful, what can I say. I don’t even know why they are still open. It was totally empty (explains why), there was two other tables besides us. We ordered lamb risotto and we got mushroom risotto instead. I ordered white sangria and it tasted just like lemonade. I don’t think there was any wine in there. My husband ordered a drink recommended by the waiter and it was very water down. I asked for just a glass of wine, and before I even said what kind I want the waiter was back with house Chardonnay and assured me that it’s very good. First of all I never asked for Chardonnay and second I don’t like Chardonnay. The waiter was just totally off all evening. I ordered salmon with cilantro sauce and it was ok. Definitely no reason to come back. I am still in shock with the service we got. For the same price you can go to much nicer restaurants where you get normal service and better food. Don’t waist your time or money. I am just sad that we went there for a special occasion cuz I get like I just want to leave and go somewhere else but it was too late to get reservation somewhere else.
We live Mediterranean food and we’re excited to find this restaurant. The appetizers and drinks were great but we were underwhelmed with our main course meals. My husband had one of the specials and his mashed potatoes were cold. My chicken wasn’t very flavorful.
We would come back again but only for the tapas menu items.
Everything was great, we'll be back again! The phyllo-wrapped feta with honey was especially delicious.
Atmosphere, service and food was fantastic. We will definitely return again and bring more friends!
We visited Meze a second time. Truly a culinary experience in excellence. Two couples dined on a Thursday evening. We sat on the patio which was very pleasant and conversation friendly. We began with appetizers of grilled octopus and fried calamari, both were execellent. I have had octopus in a number of dining establishments and few do it well. Meze is an exception and provides delicious grilled octopus. Two of us had the lamb cutlets which were delicious. Another had the beet salad as an entree, again outstanding. Finally the fourth member of our party had the pasta special. All of us agreed to return to Meze.
If you like Mediterranean food, this is one bougie place to try. We had the flatbread (typical), 3 dip appetizer (a must try), mushroom risotto (which is amazing rich & yummy), and chicken skewer plate. Each plate was delicious and didn't have any regrets. It is decorated nicely inside and has a nice patio dining option available for warmer days. It is a little quiet inside so if you have a loud group, this is not a good place. Good for family dinners (maybe without kids).
The restaurant itself was beautiful. The food was delicious and very nicely presented. Our server was wonderful. It was a little empty for a Saturday night so worried that it will not make it. Perhaps others don’t know about it as I didn’t. If they did, I’m sure it would be hopping!
There were 10 of us and really no one else there but service and food were outstanding!!
We went to Meze for lunch on a Friday. 3 of us got the choose your own lunch bowl combo. We all enjoyed them, all portions were cooked well. The lunch pricing was not too bad ($14 for a healthy lunch bowl). Especially nice since I've seen fast food salads with nothing more than iceberg lettuce for $7 at other places!
The place looks super elegant. It was nearly dead when we were there so super quiet. Overall, Meze is a great change from what this place used to be (see my other review about when it was called Zeal). I will go back.
Delicious food and ambience for any date night!
Lunch outside was perfect. It was windy, but their patio is closed off enough it wasn't a bother. The food was incredible. Can't wait to go back.
nice place with wonderful outdoor patio. a non traditional twist on the food from traditional Greek appetizers and entrees with a spectacular flair.
Great service very friendly we all appreciated the food suggestions by the waitress.
Loved rhe food. We had grilled octopus, bacon wrapped sates, roasted brussel sprouts and bacon, beet salad, artichoke hearts. Every dish delicious. We sat at table on outdoor coveredd patio, well shaded, comfy. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Food and service was excellent!
We stopped for a small dinner at Meze. Very nice Mediterraneo place, has a nice covered outdoor seating area with grape vines growing around the enclosed area. Very romantic! We had few hot tapas plates, all were delicious! I would come back
Enjoyed the tapas. Nice variety. Liked the patio dining. Unfortunately our table was very wobbly. Server was very attentive. Food came out quickly after we ordered
