Mile Limit is a Mediterranean restaurant, wine bar and bottle shop in West Berkeley from the team behind La Marcha Tapas Bar. The menu moves across Spain, Southern France, Italy, North Africa and the Levant, with dishes like ricotta gnocchi with mushroom sauce, lamb arayes, oxtail ragù, scallop crudo, burrata, oysters and other shareable plates built for the table. Our wine list focuses on distinctive, low-intervention bottles from small producers around the world, available by the glass or from our retail shelves with just $10 corkage when enjoyed in-house. Stop in for dinner, a bottle and a few plates, or make a night of it with friends. Fridays feature $1.50 oysters from 4pm until sold out. Mile Limit is relaxed, lively and neighborhood-driven—serious about food and wine without taking itself too seriously.

Very nice staff. Burrata was especially tasty. Wide variety of wine types and prices by the glass and bottles.

What we ate was tasty, but two of the things we chose on the very short menu weren’t available and of the five desserts they only had one! The menus weren’t corrected and we weren’t told in advance, we just found out when we tried to order.

What a wonderful experience. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable and give great recommendations. The space is beautiful, understated and has a great, cool vibe. BUT the food is soo soo tasty. I had a hard time choosing so I will be back to try more. We had hen tomato salad , the textural consideration in this with the mix of flavors was both unique and deeply satisfying. The empanada is killer, light yet somehow rich. The cassoulet is warming and I love a Big Bean. The ratio of protein to bean was just rights. And I really loved the polenta and oxtail ragu! The meat melts in your mouth but I would truly have been as happy with a huge bowl of polenta, it was that flavorful and delicious. The dealer choice flight was not just fun and a great way to try new wines but also was perfect for the variety of foods we ordered. I will be back, especially for the $1.50 oysters on Friday. Girl.
