Milestones Grill + Bar - Victoria

The meal was excellent -- the food is always great at this Milestones -- and our server was friendly, professional and efficient. Lovely to look out at the Christmas lights on the Parliament buildings, too! I was impressed with their adherence to COVID-19 protocols. Only one small issue. We would have preferred a table by the window, and asked if we could move to one of the vacant tables, but were told we couldn't move because the vacant tables were all reserved. In fact, no one ever did sit at two of those vacant tables, so it was a bit disappointing that the host did not come back an offer to move us. A word of advice to others booking through Open Table to request a window table when booking, as we should have done.

Really happy that my partner and i celebrate his birthday in this location , we are really happy and very satisfied on james ( server)hospitality. We give 10 for his service. As well as the food was amazing my partner really love the food and as well as his suprise complimentary cake. Thank you! Merry Christmas to everyone.

Food prices have gone up along with drink prices. Menu selection not as robust as the past. I will still dine there on occasion. As far as service, outstanding and nice staff. For special occasions yes. For casual dinning no.

Four of us went to early dinner here on a Saturday night. The place was already busy. Our waiter, James, says odd things but was knowledgeable, attentive without being overbearing and had good Covid standards.
We had appies- the chicken bites and the spinach and artichoke dip. Both were good but the chicken bites made my friend change her dinner order so she could have those for her main as well.
Entrees were a basic burger (which was stupendous!) The Thai Basil Noodles (these were disappointing. Small broken noodles, too many shredded carrots and not enough other veggies, soggy and tasteless.
It’s like they ran out of noodles and sauce and watered it down to cover for it. Just skip this one if you like real Thai)
Our friends had the Neptune Sirloin with mashed (he wiped the plate clean it was so good) and the aforementioned chicken nite bowl, also excellent but pretty spicy.
Desserts were Chocolate Ganache -
they ate the filling - and the donuts -
which were warm and pillowy soft.
All of us had one drink, no coffee/tea and the bill was under $200 which is reasonable for 4 adults today.
Would we go back? While the burger may lure me again I could resist. Maybe on a special menu or in the summer when we can sit on the patio but not on a regular day. This is a good restaurant if you want to impress your date with the view or maybe for happy hour and drinks but if you are going for actual dinner there are better places in Victoria.

We are always delightfully surprised that what should be a tourist trap - in terms of its location - consistently provides delicious and interesting meals at great prices.

The food & drinks were great. I think it was a busy day for staff.. the table was dirty & the waitress performed poorly in delivery + service. We left after appys because of this reason. I would have loved to try the Fall menu... maybe next time.

Really enjoyed the kale salad! The botanical cocktail I had went well with it.

Ordered lettuce wraps for starters lettuce was not fresh going brown returned for fresh. One of our party ordered Veal with baked potatoes, when it arrived was served with rice? Complained to Waitress and baked potatoes were delivered to table

The folks that work here are great: friendly, very helpful, courteous and attentive. The view can’t be beat: every time I take my parents to Victoria, we have a meal in Milestones, and book early to ensure a window table. The menu is okay, but our choices are gradually becoming reduced because there is too much emphasis on trendy. Still well prepared - but, every other ‘cool’ spot serving quality food has goat cheese, or Sriracha, or root vegetable frites, or arugula. . . enough already.

Reservation process via web seamless. Service staff very friendly and food was very good.

Excellent service and great surroundings. All the group felt safe, welcomed and completely satisfied with every dish ordered.

Our dinner was lovely ...Accept neither one of us liked our mashed potatoes..they tasted sour!! I'm not sure if the are boil in the bag or if they were mashed with buttermilk !! my steak was done to perfection , appy was great:)

Overall satusfactory plus , service above average , will return

2020-10-11 We were there for dinner. We both took the spaghetti with shrimp and lobster. Lobster was scarce but the taste of the meal was good. The best was our server James. He was awesome, very nice guy. If you go, ask to be in his section.

I noticed prices have jumped up over the year maybe to compensate for lose of business due to Covid 19. I would have to say I really could not see the value in my wife's chicken dinner and the burger I had maybe or maybe not but surely smaller. Draft beer price again ? Hard to bring myself to ordering one. Milestone's in the past without question the place to dine but now I will explore other options. I still will dine there on occasion just not as often.

Great service by James, food was good, only slight criticism, 2 of us ordered the surfside salad which we have done several times before, however this time the shrimp had a lot of seasoning or salt or maybe it was in the salad but evident in the shrimp, extremely salty which had never been the case in the past...that was the only stand out, the
rest was delicious and service was friendly and excellent by all staff

I have eaten here almost every time I and my wife come to Victoria.....
This time we invited 4 friends .
During the new Norm of Covid .... All staff were right on !

I was comfortable and safe .

Our waiter .....the grade 7 teacher .... Was outstanding.

My meal that he recommended was Better than expected .

Also my cup of coffee never was empty ........ outstanding attention.

Hubby and I had a spontaneous date night and I chose Milestones. It’s such a great location and we had a window seat with view of the inner harbour.
They have fantastic COVID protocols in place and we felt comfortable being there.

The service and food were excellent! Everyone was very friendly and happy. It was a wonderful evening.

Your waiter talks too much. The food was not centred on the plate.

The best food, service and view ! I did asked for the table by the window at the time of making a reservation and my request was honored which made my visit to Milestones even more enjoyable. Will certainly return again!

Very spotty, was there 2 weeks ago and it was really good.

This time the food was awful: Ginger glazed salmon fried rice was liquidy and seemed to be couscous not rice. Steak Frites, steak overdone (don’t seem to know how to cook medium rare) and yam fries were uncooked. Kids mini burgers were awful (totally dried out overcooked patties).

Too bad !!
