Mizu Japanese Steakhouse
I loved every minute and will definitely be back again
Lack of flavor. Not good food at all. Ridiculously hot inside. At least get some air circulating in there
Obvious cashgrabs post-COVID, or otherwise just sub-par service. Reserved for two, not knowing only the Hibachi menu was available to order from, which was fine. $11 "sharing fee" which makes little to no sense, so order for yourself and just let your partner munch off your plate to avoid paying that extra $11. Was brought two sets of miso soup and salad to entertain us at first, and when we informed the waitress we were only doing a single order off of the Hibachi menu as my partner has a rather small apetite, one of the sets of salads and miso soup was just taken away without further explanation or reasoning. Finally in the midst of having our food cooked by the chef, still passively consuming the miso soup, one of the waitresses just plucked it off our table and took it away again without further explanation or reasoning. Do you know any restaurants that confiscate your food in the middle of you eating it? I do now, and its Mizu. Mizu was once one of my favorite places to take friends and family for the experience and great food, but the standards have dropped horrendously. I understand COVID has hit us all hard in many different and difficult ways. But this does not excuse treatment of your customers to be this poor. Whatever the reason may be, there is little to no excuse for such a terrible customer service experience. Not planning on coming back ever again to be quite honest, and I am extremely satisfied with that decision.
Our chef was very good, and very engaging with everyone.
Restaurant was short staffed with 3 hibachi chefs although the seated 8 tables. It had horrible ventilation and no AC, so the smoke lingered the entire visit. When the cook arrived ( an hour and a half after being seated) the night got better. Chef cooked the food to perfection but overall the price didn’t match the experience.
They need to work on their HVAC system. It was super warm and smoky in the restaurant. You could also smell al ittle bit of propane.
Chef was very good. It was hard to hear at times and from the time we sat down till our chef came was about 45 minutes.
Food was great.
The air conditioner did not work. We almost had to leave before our food. They were understaffed and were unable to keep up with refilling drinks and seating us. The sushi area was also closed.
Even though it was super hot outside the chef that served us was a champ and the servers kept our waters refilled at all times. The food was super delicious too.
Family visiting from out of town, wasn’t impressed with the chef or the quality of the food.
Such a fun time!
We were visiting fro out of town and decided to try this place. What a disappointment it was. We wanted sushi but when we got there, there was a sign on the door that they did not have sushi, even though there was no mention of this on their website. We decided to eat there anyway and the food was average at best. The soup was beef broth with 2 mushrooms, the rice was bland, the chef did not cut the tails off the shrimp and the scallops smelled fishy. Overall it was a less than enjoyable meal.
Good experience. Needed drinks refilled more often.
A wonderful experience! I plan on going back next weekend.
Fine restaurant to go to with family, friends or co-workers.
We had a wonderful meal in terms of value and taste. I ordered chicken and between the soup, salad, rice, vegetables and 2 chicken breasts was more than enough for two people. My daughter eats gluten free and her dish was prepared in the kitchen and they easily accommodated her allergy. Our chef wanted to have a good time unfortunately the other two diners at our tepan table were on their phones and talking the entire presentation which was quite rude but what can you do. The dipping sauces for the meats are just delicious. We had made a reservation and were seated promptly. Service was fast and friendly. They had Coors Light which is a must for me so all in all an excellent meal.
Painfully slow reservations for 7:30 did not have are order taken until 8:39. By the time food was brought to the table to be prepared it was 9. Very disappointing.
Salad was OK, soup was so bland my son thought it was because he drank strawberry lemonade and couldn't taste it but it really just tasted like warm water with mushrooms in there.
Fried rice, salmon, steak, shrimp, lobster, and tempura calamari was good.
Tony always makes us laugh every time he serves us and makes sure everything is good.
Food was salty, too much Japanese soy sauce especially on steak.
Went for Mother's day weekend with MIL and she loved it! The kids enjoyed the entertainment. Our chef was awesome, funny, witty and friendly.
We had a great experience other than the restaurant seating a couple next to our party of five. It felt uncomfortable and we mentioned it so they moved the couple which was responsive. I'm just surprised they did it in the first place. Food and service were great though. Our chef was very fun and entertaining!
Great shrimp tempura, followed by scallops, shrimp and lobster, all perfectly prepared. Far too much food for one sitting—had to take rice and veggies home.
There was a odd smell in the restaurant. Service was ok I mean we were the only ones there for about 15minutes and the waitress touched our tables only twice. Food had too much butter which made it very greasy and salty. My kids didn’t feel well after the meal. I don’t think we will be back.
The cook was awesome and food was great. The server on the other hand was rude and I felt rushed to order. Once we sat down she gave us about 2 mins to take our order I requested more time and she gave us additional minute. So fast for me with 2 younger kids to figure out their order along with mine. Please please take consideration of new customers and allowing that time for moms to review kids orders!! FYI
Nice experience but restaurant was very cold.
