   Have been to Modus multiple time since opening, On this occasion they got a lot of meal orders wrong The food standard is slipping and not as good as last times They seemed to be struggling in the kitchen even though the venue was at 1/2 capacity We were advised to get orders in as soon as we sat down as it was going to get busy and food waiting times would be long Beers are awesome as always Venue is amazing Staff are friendly

   We had to spend 5 min to move to a different table from one suggested by the walking path next to entrance Extremely unpleasant experience dealing with arrogant staff person and convincing her to accomodating customers requirements by locating us from very uncomfortable locations next to kid’s birthday party We we’re ready to walk out Clearly no any training given to staff welcoming the customers We had to request the chips without the salt because of previous experience with over salted food Every time the food is different from before - no consistency It was our 8 time at Modus but not sure we will be coming ever again

   The service was amazing. Our food was delivered to the wrong table and when we went to find out why it was taking so long we were given priority to have our meals recooked, a full refund of our lunch and two free drinks. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you

   Food took over an hour to come out, it was like my steak was sitting waiting for the other meals to be cooked. Requested steak to be medium, came out as well done & was cold

   It was the perfect place for a catch up with my friend - I had the beef burrito and my friend had the chicken wrapped accompanied by a glass of Pinot Grigio / the modern style of the decor was very refreshing. The only problem I can see would be parking. I can’t wait to introduce my partner to this great place next time I visit - a definite must check it out place !

   Out of 10 people 3 had issues with their meal. Two (2) had significantly under cooked burgers and there was a over strong taste to the calamari. There was a 40 minute wait due to the large amount of people dining so that was understandable and we did get 2 drinks for free due to the wait.

    Unfortunately the food took over an hour to come out. We had to ask staff members at different times to follow up our order and there was a lot of complacency. Venue is lovely though, particularly the kids play area. Beer options are also amazing.

    Seated at high table with kids under a hot heater which wasn't requested when booked, had to wait 30mins for mains and almost an hour for dessert. One of the toilets was filthy with poo. Wouldn't say it was the greatest experience unfortunately!

    Ambience was lovely, but the high tables are too small to fit 4 peoples-worth of food on ( we all ordered small meals). The dessert was a bit overpriced considering the quality of it, specifically the cheesecake. The staff and service are wonderful, DJ was nice, and they have heaters in some areas which is great.

    It was our first visit to Modus, and even though I messed the booking up, the lovely lady who welcomed us, understood the mistake I had made and was quick to rectify the situation and found us a table, amongst a very busy environment- so we were extremely thankful. The beer was super, we loved the Porter the best, and surprisingly the sour beer ❤️. We had the 2 share plates - Tomahawk steak and the slow cooked brisket between 4 of us and there was plenty to eat with take homes as well 😊. We will definitely be back, and hopefully I won’t mess the booking up next time.

    Great place for a group of friends, party or entertaining music with good vibes, while catching up on footy or happy comfortable seating for a few beers. Food is ample and delicious.

    Went for lunch with some friends and their baby on Sunday (6 adults). The music was too loud we had to shout to each other and were worries about the baby. The food took 45minutes to arrive and was very disappointing. The chicken meat in the chicken burger was very poor quality and the chips were soooo salty I could not eat them. We won’t be returning or recommending. We had driven 2 hrs down from the hunter valley to go to modus with our friends - what a mistake :(

    Ideal venue for young and old! We had a fantastic day celebrating my birthday at Modus Merewether with 16 adults and 6 kids. The atmosphere and food were great but the service was second to none. Thank you for allowing us to change tables when the one we had was needed, we didn’t want to leave. That’s the 3rd time I’ve had the salmon tostada and it didn’t disappoint - delicious! The barramundi cooked to perfection and the Viking cutlets ideal for the big eaters. We will be back!

    Been before and it was yum, this time was a little disapppinting though. 2 of the 4 peoples meals came out well before & were finished before we got ours although ordered at the same time/same table. Burger was nice but nothing flash, and the meat was very dry. Friends barramundi was plain. Will try it again but definitely not to the standard it typically is. Bar staff were lovely as always & I love the vibe here. Just a shame the food didn’t live up to standard this night.

    Food is very average They forgot one of the meals and had to make it after the rest of the table had theirs. Bar staff weren’t willing to make a cocktail not on the list.

    If you don’t want a waiter it’s the place to be It was a beautiful establishment We walked in and waited by the table that looked like the check in point Many staff meme ears walked past without making contact We wandered through Found our table with my name on it and that was it We didn’t both to stay for a meal so can’t say if it was good food What was going past looked great Being an open establishment it means noise travels so found it not to suit the semi formal attire that was required I’m sure others will enjoy using a qr code to order and pay but not for us

    Fantastic venue with so many great beer options. The menu is very limited but the food is good. I still can’t get my Head around why we have to pay so much for a beer when you can literally see where it is brewed. No transport, no packaging required!!!!

    The beer selection is extensive and would cater for a wide range of tastes. There is also a range of wines and the usual spirits The bar service was a little slow inititially but that could be because we arrived at 5.30 pm and they might not have been fully staffed, as the service speed picked up later. Our food came out rapidly after ordering, was perfectly cooked and very tasty. I highly recommend this venue and we will definitely be back.

    The food and beers was wonderful and great atmosphere. However there was a artwork hanging that I found offensive with ‘f$$$ you’. I had young kids at the venue and to see that was disappointing.

    Food was delicious, good vegan options for me and partner loved his rib eye steak! Adventurous beer paddle was so good. The Margie sour was my favourite. Cool outdoor brewery vibe. Definitely stocking up on modus beer and heading back their soon!
