MOMO kitchen & market
It's hard to believe that a restaurant the caliber of MOMO is tucked away in Goose Creek. The food, the service, and the ambiance will make you think you're dining in downtown Charleston.
The shrimp and grits were VERY good, and I left with two lemon bars for dessert. If they have Sangria available you have got to try it! I cannot wait to try this place for brunch.
I am already planning return visits to MOMO Kitchen and Market with friends. We hope to become regulars!
It was great - great service and food - we will go back as often as we can!
Outstanding brunch! Had the steak & eggs special, and it was tasty. Very nice family run restaurant. Super clean. Server was excellent and kept close watch to see if we needed anything. Others in my party enjoyed the bottomless mimosas. Give them a try!
Out of the way place with great tasting food. I would get Brussel Sprout app again. Same goes for the Crab Cake entree and their signature Shrimp and Grits.
Are you still thinking about trying this restaurant out? Well, quit thinking and just GO. You will be so grateful for your experience! I had heard about this restaurant a few months ago but didn’t go until now and man, I wish I went earlier. We started with the scallop ceviche and the fried okra. The ceviche was light and fresh and the fried okra was crunchy yet somehow creamy with the Bama white BBQ sauce. That sauce is seriously amazing! Then, we got our meals. I ate the fried chicken sandwich with the truffle fries. Those fries had me saying “wow” with every bite. The sandwich was very crunchy and big. If you have a fried chicken craving, it’ll get the job done. I had a bite of the burger and it really reminded me of an In N Out burger—soft, flavorful, perfectly cooked. We had the house made watermelon and lime soda which was truly incredible. I’ve never had anything like it. Lastly, we had the crème brûlée cheesecake and OH MY GOODNESS it was phenomenal. Probably the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. So creamy, light, and perfectly balanced. I could probably eat three slices by myself. I can’t finish this review without mentioning the staff working; they were so nice and chatted with us quite a bit. We will absolutely be back!!!
The brussel sprouts were very tasty as usual, but I’ve had them there when they were crispier. The poutin fries and cheese curds had a good flavor but the gravy was very salty. The deviled eggs were yummy.
Momo’s Kitchen and Market never disappoints. Love the place.
The food is amazing, customer service is superb, and the atmosphere is awesome. MOMO has moved to the top of the list of my favorite places to eat in the Charleston area. Highly recommend.
Very disappointed in the changing of the menu and lack of GF options/items. There was limited knowledge in GF options/menu items by the servers. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to dine there since we are back to the terrible GF standards of salad with meat options for dinner. Greatly miss their crabcakes and GF fries!
We’ve have eaten at MOMO’s several times, and ordered take out a few times. We really enjoy having such a nice place to dine in GC.
Your waitresses are wonderful also, and recognize us now. This is the sort of experience we truly appreciate!
My husband and I went there for Valentines Day and loved it. We even invited our children to join us for brunch there the following week. Again, it was an enjoyable experience. The deviled eggs were addictive.
Our third visit was most disappointing. Again we invited some of our children to join us, one of them even traveling from out of town to see what all the buzz was about.
My steak and my daughter’s scallops arrived after the rest of our party had finished eating. Our waitress apologized for the delay and said that there would be an adjustment in our bill, but it was not sufficient for the headache. My steak was awful. I was embarrassed by the recommendation. The third time was not the charm.
We visit MOMO 2-3 times per month. They have several menu items we favor such as the MOMO burgers, smoke gouda grits, devil eggs, and tomato soup. In general they are very good and seem to be improving the small things steadily. The salads are fresh and have nice dressings. Their recent scallops special was very, very nice and the scallops were perfect. Their aged ribeye special was very good, but one thing, I ordered my steak medium and it came out rare. This was the only issue we have had on any trip there. We will emphasize our steak cooking preference more than once next time. We highly recommend MOMO. It is a very nice restaurant and has elevated the quality of dining in our area.
Fabulous food and service. We were there on Valentine's Day and it seemed as if they had maybe squeezed in an extra table or two because we were sitting directly in front of the door. But even that couldn't diminish the experience much. Looking forward to our next meal there!
We love this place. We’re here for Valentines Day. Food was great! But we come often for everyday dining.
My wife and myself had our date night and I must say it way an amazing dinner and atmosphere!!!! The food was amazing and the filet mignon we both had for dinner was as good if not better than any steakhouse in the Charleston area!!! Every time we eat here the food is always amazing!!!
The roast beef sandwich special was messy to eat, but excellent! This is a great lunch place.
We absolutely LOVE this place! We’ve been several times and are always extremely satisfied.
I guess I've been spoiled living in Charleston with so many good restaurants offering fine dining and extraordinary cuisine. In comparison, I would say this is your average cafe. We went for dinner. The menu was very limited in selections. The food was good and fresh. I had the crab cake with greens and roulade. It was tasty, prepared well with nice presentation but nothing spectacular. My spouse had the special for the day which was beef tips and fingerling potatoes. Again, it was good, wholesome with fresh ingredients but nothing spectacular. I guess I expected more because of the marketing photographs on their website. So all in all if you are looking for decent cuisine in Goose Creek, this would be the only place to stop. If your looking for fine dining extraordinare, you're better off to take the extra 30 minutes to travel to Charleston. I probably will be back because of the close proximity to where I live.
All of the food tasted great. Very pricey for the size of the portions.
This was my second time eating at Momo and was delighted both times. Cannot think of a negative word.
Great food and atmosphere. Really enjoyed first experience there. We will go back.
The food and service were excellent. We really enjoyed the brussels sprouts. We'll definitely be back.
We made a reservation and confirmed with open table ...drove with two other couples to find it was closed. I understand but it would have been nice to have seen that online or received a communication. Or just not been able to make a reservation. Very frustrating. May try again but not soon ☹️ for our evening ended up being a wait elsewhere for a table for 6. Did not appreciate that!
It's a cute place that offers good food. The waitress was attentive but hampered by a very slow food delivery. We weren't in a hurry but the overall time from seating to leaving was almost three hours and we an appetizer and all had salad with protein added. They were very busy and may have been short in staffing.
We met some friends there after work as my work is just around the corner. We all really enjoyed the food and beverage selections. The service was a little slow but it was a busy Friday night and we weren't in a hurry. It was a little loud but like I said it was a busy night. Definitely recommend Momo to all!
wonderful experience as always!!!! Our friends greatly enjoyed their first experience also!
Our experience was amazing the food was amazing the service was amazing and the restaurant is amazing and very clean even though we were in Goosecreek we really felt like we were in a downtown Charleston High end restaurant atmosphere!!!!
This is my second experience at Momo and I wasn't as impressed this time. Overall, our experience was pleasant but there were a few things lacking. The temperature inside the restaurant was pretty uncomfortable. I asked for the daily special and the waitress couldn't explain it very well to me, I had to check out your Facebook page for further details. I was sad that you couldn't order your Brussel sprouts as a side dish. I think it's a great establishment, but today it was just lacking the extras I experienced on my first visit.
We decided to try Momo Kitchen and were not disappointed. The restaurant is in a small strip mall so you might miss it but you'd be missing a great dining experience. The service was warm and friendly and the food was outstanding and reasonably priced. We started with the smoked trout dip and Ritz Crackers. Delicious! I had the special which was more expensive but worth it. It was four large sea scallops perfectly seared which came with brussel sprouts fried with pork bellies and seared peaches in a bourbon sauce. I'm still wishing I had more. My wife had the summer strawberry salad. A good portion of greens with strawberries, feta cheese, and walnuts on a light strawberry vinaigrette. She also added the shrimp. That was excellent as well. If we didn't have dessert waiting at home I would have tried that as well. The bill was $98 which included the tip and two glasses of wine.
Momo never fails to amaze. This is one of our very favorite restaurants in the Lowcountry. Food, service, friendliness. They have it all.
Food is very good with a wonderful presentation. Need more gluten free options now that Quail is,coming off the menu
Amazing food. I mean, amazing. Everything we tried was so good. Pimento cheese with pickles. Shrimp and Grits. Pan seared scallops. All so delicious. And the service was exemplary. Our waiter, Zach, was so friendly. So was everyone else we talked with. This will be one of my go to places from now on. Do yourself a favor and eat at MOMO Kitchen!
Excellent food. Service was great. Had a downtown feel without going all the way downtown.
Outstanding Quality of Food, and Service. We will return to this place often. Great place in Goose Creek.
Momo is a great spot in Goose Creek. It is a much welcome change to the restaurant scene. They offer fresh local foods with a short menu that doesn’t disappoint. I enjoyed the strawberry spinach salad with grilled shrimp that left me anting more. We also enjoyed the pimento cheese and pickles appetizer. The venue is very small so if you have a large group make a reservation ahead. It was also somewhat loud but the service was outstanding! Overall, we will be eating here often.
food is present beautifully. glad to have quality food in Summerville area
A last minute find on Open Table for lunch (while travelling) and got us in immediately. I agree, a true hidden gem outside the Holy City. Get the deviled eggs!
This restaurant was great! Really, an undiscovered jewel.
As I said to our waiter after the appetizers, my tastebuds were very happy! We had the Fall salads for our entrees, and they were excellent !!
