Wonderful service but since we ate very early the restaurant was almost empty. I also love the music selection. Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé. We always have leftovers for the next day. Still delicious!
the food at this restaurant is always out of this world it is freshly cooked the portions are large the servers are great we have been eating here for years and we feel like family the prices are very reasonable I can't say enough good thins about this restaurant
The flounder and veal francaise dishes were fantastic. We also took home an order of the garlic bread caprese for lunch the next day. Delicious.
WE ARE REPEAT CUSTOMERS SO WE"LOVE " THIS PLACE -WE HAVE A FAVORITE APP WHICH IS ARTICHOKE ALYSSA WHICH CAN BE REQUESTED AT ANYTIME -WE DISCOVERED IT AS A SPECIAL -THE RESTAURANT IS EXCELLENT WITH SPECIAL REQUESTS. MY HUSBAND'S ENTREE WAS A CHICKEN ROLLATINE -MINE WAS VEAL ALYSSA (TOPPED WITH EGGPLANT ) BOTH WERE VERY DELICIOUS !! BYOB ! OUR SERVICE -TYLER KNOWS OUR STYLE AND PACE FOR A MOST ENJOYABLE EVENING !! CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK !!

have eaten here at least twice a month - our servicer was "sam" who knows our style as being slow to enjoy every course complimented by our wine - they are a byob we started with sharing their artichoke alyssa app - i had the veal parm with their twist of eggplant on top -my husband had their manicotti with a side meatball - as always an enjoyable evening (wednesday) no dessert but was tempting -
food is great prices are good we have been going here many years and will not go anywhere else !!!
we have been here before - this was for my birthday (november) our app was a special - artichoke with pesto -out of this world (told we could order at any time -great ! } our entrees were veal parm with eggplant on top - very enjoyable !! our serve tyler knows our paced style of eating so we had a great night !! byob yeh !!

we dined during restaurant week but we ate there before - we had four courses - app was eggplant/ salad /veal dish/ red velvet cake for dessert - everything was wonderful and i like the idea you can ask for substitutions on maybe a side dish and you can be accomodated on this request -our waiter that night was tyler (wonderful server ) also byob a plus !!
Food was delicious, service inpeccable. They aim to please in every aspect! Outside seating was well done. Will definitely go again!

MonAlyssa was nothing extraordinary. Since we were a table of two they wanted to put us on the side of restaurant in an area that looks like it is a service alley and has no coverage from sun or weather. . Tables were unstable and rocking. Asked for another table so then they put us up front under the tent which was much better, but they seemed to be annoyed that we asked for another table. Food was OK. Service was inattentive in a non busy restaurant.
Food was very good. Mom is a tough critic and said gluten free pasta was a little overcooked. My soft shell crabs were great though! Overall good experience, given the outdoor limitations. We sat in the left side of the building in what was an alley. It got pretty windy and wish we could have moved to the front or back. But, given our current circumstances in NJ, the restaurant is doing what it can. Definitely recommend.
This is a review I didn’t want to write. We were here in August and they hit it out of the park. Tonight, not so much. First, they brought out an incorrect appetizer. The server seemed harried so we let it go. When they brought out main courses, they “forgot”( servers word) to prepare one of the entrees. It came 15 minutes later. I ordered veal with shrimp, prosciutto, onions, mushrooms and crabmeat, the menu said it was served with tortellini. Well, it came out without the crab, without the onion, and served over angel hair,no explanation given. Another entree was supposed to come out with a side of spaghetti, it too came out with angel hair. The servers were running all over, it was clear they were understaffed and that the kitchen was busy making pizzas. This place needs to decide if it’s a pizza joint or a fine dining establishment. The potential for the latter is there. But with kitchen mixups and short staffing it seems like it is leaning towards the former. That’s unfortunate.
Great place with great food options. Will definitely be back.

This was our first time dining at Mon Alyssa. In general, the food was average and the service was excellent. Their clams casino recipe was all wrong- no diced bell peppers , no bacon. I asked the server to confirm that it was clams casino and she said yes. My wife got the veal saltimbocca which was too soupy and not very flavorful. I got the shrimp fra diavlo which wasn’t all that spicy although the pasta was cooked perfectly. Our server, Alicia, was very attentive and friendly but couldn’t overcome the shortcomings in the food. Now I know why we were able to get a table on short notice.
Very charming dining on the patio. My husband’s birthday so it was made special by the quaintness. Quiet and serene but service was slow. Food was excellent as was the ambience. Would definately go back.
MonAlyssa never disappoints. Food is always delicious and nicely presented. Their wait staff are very friendly and attentive. Our party of four enjoyed our dinners. We sat in the outdoor tented area which was nice. MonAlyssa is one of our go-to restaurants. Have been coming here since they first opened.

Was there for my mother and my mother-in-laws birthday. The whole evening went great. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
They set up outside dining in the parking lot with plants, etc. It's a nice atmosphere.

Mon Alyssa has adapted very nicely to dining in the Covid era. Eating outside was the only cause of the moderate noise level.
The food was excellent. Ambience is compromised by needing to eat out on the parking lot, but they’ve done an excellent job making the setting pleasant. Our first visit and we plan to go back. Delightful tea menu is worth a look.

Very solid northern Italian cuisine . Service was friendly and helpful . Unfortunately we were seated outside in the back of restaurant where the air conditioner u it next door is very loud . I am not even sure if the tables were COVID compliant . There is such a strain on these small businesses I encourage anyone who is a fan of hearty traditional Italian fare to enjoy .
Excellent meal and service.
We were sat on the side of the restaurant, under an AC unit. The space was tight and was the smallest table I’ve ever sat at. I understand Covid has restaurants making due on the fly, but plainly, it was not a good experience.
Food was good, service was very good.
I would not recommend reserving a table for 2 as tthe tables are in an alleyway due to outdoor seating. Other than that I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and I will definitely go back.
Decent red sauce Italian BYOB. The table we got was last minute and was at the back in a small space, but we were grateful to get it. Food was very good. Server was pleasant, but not very experienced. Not cheap for what it was, but not horrendously expensive either. I’d return.
First time there based on reviews we were looking forward to some really good Italian food. Seated us right away outside under the tent where half the tables were empty.
Sat down and they took our order and we waited over 30 min for apps. I ordered clams casino and got oreganata. Did not want to wait to change it. Not a lot of labor in my opinion. I was told the other appetizers, calamari and caprese salad were very good. After the apps and salads we waited another 30 min for main courses. Portions were big. The lasagna, linguini and clams, chicken parm were very good according to my family. I had the veal saltimbocca which was not very flavorful in my opinion.
Our first time at MonAlyssa, food is excellent ! Veal, Lasagna, and Eggplant Rolatini all excellent. They have transitioned well to outdoor venue, service was very good.
