Ox Tongue, Beef Fat, Chives and Lime
Rice with Spicy Trout Tartare
Thai tea cream with tapioca pearl, hazelnut sponge, freeze dried mandarin and salted coconut ice cream
Poor service, we were forced to literally finish our food in less than 30 mins. The waitress did not informed us that we only had less than 30 mins to order and finished our food. We booked at 6pm, we came bit late, we didn’t know that all booking are only for 1 hour which considered unreasonable as this is first time I came accross with only 1 hour dining as normally the min reasonable booking is for 1.5 hours dining. Should we knew we won’t have enough time ,we would either cancel or at least order just 1-2 dishes . But we didn’t know so we ordered 4-5 dishes and paid $100 for literally 20 mins dining and we supposed to shovel our food as the waitress came over while we were eating and asked us to pay. Although the food were good, but lack of service , not professional and unreasonable dining hours, we wouldn’t come back .
Awesome cocktails and nice food, but the price point is pretty high. It's great for special occasion overall.
Food was excellent and very well presented! We were super happy with the food. Popped over next door for some dessert too!
Food portion is small, wagyu beef is a little bit under cooked.
It’s ok , food really funny , not tasty and bad flavoury .. if u looking for good food this place must be avoid
Don’t come very hungry- servings are tiny.
Not worth the price ,a little bowl and so mean food ,we will not visit it again.
I've been here so many times and I absolutely love the food! Will definitely come back again soon.
Went there for Valentines with last minute reservation! Great food however serving time was quite long, took around 30 minutes to get one of the food while the table next to us who came 15 minutes after us, got their food at the same time as ours
The food took very long to come out despite being so quiet. The 2 dishes we ordered came out 30min apart from each other my friend finished theirs before mine came out. The portion sizes were abit too small definitely not good for value
I believe the food was very nice, however the service was a bit mediocre. The staff took a while to tend to our orders, & when we were seated.
Food tasted ok but was a bit overpriced - we were still hungry afterwards! Service was quite rushed and a bit rude. Not returning.
Interesting and unique dishes.
Crack Bowl and Black Truffle dishes absolutley delicious...
...and then next door to Koi for coffee and dessert.
We ordered their signature wague foie gras rice bowl. The set is less than before but the quality is still good.
Food tasted good, but portions were small and a little overpriced for what it was. The restaurant was very quiet on a weekend night and they said they had run out of the desserts on their menu, although we were only 1 of 3 tables that night.
We absolutely love this experience ❤️ Loved the service, the food, the drinks, the area... everything was awesome. Maybe some cushions on the stools but it was awesome!
The food had wonderful combinations of flavour and presented in a minimalistic way. Service was great also. Between 2 of us, we spent $102 as we wanted to try a lot of dishes. The space was small and probably required more ventilation due to the muggy weather outside.
The noodle dishes were really nice, loved the texture of the noodles as well as flavour, however, the portions are really small. I would need three bowls to be as a satisfactory fullness level and the price doesn't seem justifiable for the amount you get. The kingfish was okay but there was nothing special about it and again, small portioned.
Disappointing experience overall. The taste of the dishes is decent I can’t lie, but the serving size is unbelievably and ridiculously small for the price you pay. You pay like $30 for noodles you can finish in 2 bites. It is not a degustation but is priced and portioned like one. Service is also concerning. We ordered 5 dishes and 4 came out which we finished and thought they had forgotten the 5th one. The servings were so small we were ready to get a second dinner elsewhere and all of us got up to leave. The staff informed us that the 5th dish was still being prepared and said they could not remove the last dish from the docket so we had to go back to eat the last dish, scallop noodles, which was the most disappointing dish of all. Don’t waste your time and money and visit the many other restaurant options nearby instead.
I’ve been here a few times now and the food has been consistent in quality enough for the repeat visits.
The food was good however the portion is tiny. Since it was rather pricy for one brunch item I expected to be at least have a decent sized portion. The bowls turned out to be like a palm sized bowl. The store is tiny so it can’t be helped that the seating are rather small and cramped.
it was a great place for lunch.. small bites was enough for me! cocktails was pretty good together w the food!
i had the Uni! and i never had it like that.. that was perfection as it tastes soo good! my friend enjoyed the beef!
Great food, friendly and professional staff, relaxed dining atmosphere - perfect place to catach up with friends. WIll return again soon
Service was great.
The trout dish was dry and the crab noodles dish noodles where undercooked.
Food is nice but portion very small. Not many table inside and we need to sit outside and very cold and no heater around us. Not very comfortable to sit outside.
I could see why people complained about their portion. They were overall quite small for the prices. However, the quality met the expectations and I'm a small eater so I didn't mind the portion at all.
we received the worst service we ever received. We called one of their staff several times to make the order but are being ignored by them!
We’ve been allocated to a outside table and asked them whether we can change to a indoor one as it’s bit cold outside, the staff was reluctant to explain to us.
Overall their customer service was so poor, perhaps they are not concerning losing some of the clients as they are quite popular on the Internet. But the thing is, if they are not strive to deliver a good service to their customers which matches the price they charged on their food. They’ll eventually end up with nothing !
Food was amazing for my first time there. I really enjoyed their KOI Boba Dessert and l would implore others to give that dessert a go.
Load music and chatting. Service was poor as they rushed us eating and kept forgetting to bring cutlery and glass to one of us, which made it abit awkward. Food was tasty though the price is extremely high
Great food! Especially loved the noodles!
So far all good, only no good was seating outside too cold and windy. I 👻 online what ever always say inside not available 😔
Always my go-to-bar in the city. Outstanding food, yummy cocktails and great services. Highly recommended!
Really enjoyed the quality of the food at this place! An interesting Japanese fusion spot with some of the dishes tasting of Indian origin. Definitely a really good op if you’re not a gutso and enjoy savoring your meal. Dishes a quite small considering pricing however, the quality of the food makes up for it. Cocktails were also high quality.
A great place for a first date or to frequent.
Portions were very small, the cuisine was tasty, the place is nice and tidy, waiters are very professional. I am not sure I would come back for the food though, it was pricey considering the quality of the meals.
Prestatyn alright food a bit expensive for the value. Will eat there again. But I don’t think I would crave going back.
Food taste good but would be better if they are warmer. Our dishes were just warm. Also, please add some veggies dishes if possible.
Food was delicious!!! Omg the rice was cooked so well :) and I must the Boba tea dessert was very delicious! Will be back to try the rest of the menu
Love the ambience (outdoors), unique food however need more variety.
Good service and was enjoyable
2 out of the 3 dishes were good, however, not to the extent of being fantastic that I'd rave about it. Tables weren't exactly 1.5m apart and the fact that we weren't required to sign in for makes me wonder if Monkey's Corner is abiding by the regulations.
As many have indicated, waiters weren't friendly nor personable. In fact, one was rather condescending when I asked if the spicy trout belly tartare on rice was of the same size as the mains, he said: it is raw fish. Which part of my question indicated that I'm not aware tartare is a raw dish? I've eaten at lots of actual fancy places, and I've lived in many countries around the world, I do not need a snob in my presence. Monkey's Corner was our pick for a quick simple dinner.
And oh, we used Koi's toilet (we were told to head over there when we asked), and whilst waiting for my partner, one of the Poernomo brother's came down the stairs. I smiled at him and said hello as I would anyone on the street, he looked at me with an uppity snobbish expression and did not say a word. Your little brother appearing on Masterchef does not warrant 2 restaurants of such air of arrogance I'm sorry, do better the lot of you.
