Moorhill House Hotel

Food is expensive and not all good. Venison was overcooked and tough. Kids pasta was bland. Service was poor and they didn’t understand the menu. No atmosphere. Avoid

Beautiful location. Food and service excellent. Our room was a bit dated. The shower was poor and didn't work properly as the hot water didn't come through the shower valve properly and was very low pressure. However everything was clean and fresh. There was an issue with the bill but this was rectified very easily and professionally. The main receptionist was first class. Bar prices were reasonable for a hotel. Over all we had a lovely stay and would go again.

Appalling service even though only 6 diners. Had to go into the kutchen to find the waitress, we was generally in therecsitting on the floor.

Lovely location in forest good quality and service

We booked a table for lunch at 2pm 2 weeks in advance.
Our table was booked in and a confirmation email was then sent.
We travelled from near Heathrow so over a hours journey. We arrived at Moorhill for our reservation, however we was told our table was unavailable as tables are unavailable for lunch.
Staff was also unaware who reserved our table for this time...?
We was offered afternoon tea, unfortunately this wasn’t something we was looking for.
We was very disappointed as we are getting married at Moorhill September next year and this would of been our first meal at the venue to celebrate.

I’m sure we will return for dinner on another occasion before the wedding.

Unfortunately we were in the conference room because of a wedding. This lacked atmosphere. It would have been nice to have been in the main restaurant.
Food was well prepared with good service.
