Morton's Grille - Niagara Falls
Nice touch from staff recognizing our wedding anniversary!
From the time me and my girlfriend walked in until we left there was nothing but smiles on our faces. The service was excellent and very personalized since it was her birthday that I had included in the reservations. The hostess and the server acknowledged that it was her birthday and wished her a happy birthday. The food oh my Lord was just impeccable and flavorful and melted in your mouth with every bite. First time visiting Canada and the first time eating here just makes me want to keep coming back. Want a good no sorry excellent place to eat and feel welcomed please please eat here. Oh not to mention the view is beautiful!
Had great food and a wonderful view! Service was excellent.
Waitress was lovely. Way overpriced. I had a tiny steak and potato. There were no vegetables. Our Cesar salad was not good at all. Very bland and barely any dressing. Drinks were ridiculously expensive. Odd choice of music playing for dinner. Steak was cooked well. Honestly I wouldn’t go back. We can get a much better value at the Keg. Don’t even get me started on the tourist tax.
Food and service are outstanding. Doesn’t have the view I was expecting but we stay at the hotel, so we have an excellent view from our room. Unfortunately, the restaurant needs to be in a highest locations ASAP, the photos are not like the real view. Obviously the food is very good at Morton’s around the world, so the food and the service maybe compensate the poor view of the falls.
Desiree was great! It was our anniversary and she took a picture of us with a dessert treat and gave us a copy of the picture! She’s also very knowledgeable about the menu!
We had a great meal and experience. We were there for our 35th anniversary. The food and service were great, but pricey. They did give us a free desert and a complimentary photo, which was a nice touch.
All good but not spectacular not up to what i know as Morton’s.
Steak was not as tender as it usually is when we eat at a Morton’s, waitress unfortunately was given extra tables someone didn’t show up for work, she made a few mistakes but overall we will go back
Excellent food and the view of the falls was unmatched! Bartender was very friendly, waitress was good, but the gentleman at the front (manager?) was not unhelpful and a bit rude.
Six of us all ordered different meals and not one complaint from anyone
The price was way over. We paid over 250.00 for two steaks, one bake potato, one mushroom bowl and two drinks. The steaks was over cooked and bake potato was over cooked. We order two med well steaks and they where well, well done. It was the worst meal we have ever had in a high end restaurant.
Very enjoyable. This restaurant overlooks Niagara Falls. They gave us a window table. Food was excellent and our server very attentive.
The waitress made it a pleasant evening! She was very attentive and helpful. The food and wine and desserts were delicious.
I can not recommend going back this Morton's because they do not recognize Landry Select Club VIP status. I was told they are somehow different than other Morton's which I really do not get so the VIP status does not apply in Canada. In my opinion there are other steakhouse nearby which are better options given you are not getting any Landry's Select Club benefits.
When reserving we advised it was our anniversary and we received a lovely commemorative photo along with a free dessert. Lisa, our server, was very pleasant and attentive. Steak was cooked to our request and entire meal was delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Just be aware that when busy the noise level is high.
If you want a beautiful view of the falls, this is the place to eat. That said, I was expecting a top notch dining experience. Surprisingly it was pretty casual for the amount paid for the dinner. Starting with the service, our waiter came and took our drink order, never got water until after the wine...FYI there are no dinner specials other than what is on the menu. I ordered the Caesar Salad and my husband ordered the chopped salad. The server never asked if I wanted a large or small, what came out was HUGE! The Chopped Salad looked as if it was chopped a few hours before and kept chilled...not very attractive. I had created a new dish for Morton's Grille, I had asked that the Mahi Mahi be made as the picatta and they did it...the sauce was good however there was so much garlic in the spinach it was almost inedible. The fish was a tad over cooked but the garlic flavor over powered the entire dish. My husband asked for a medium rare filet, and received a medium. The eighties rock and roll over the speakers kind of killed any kind of romantic feelings for a date night....softer music would have been appreciated. All in all the view is great, the food, neh, the service, neh. We didn't even want to try dessert. The cost...that's what really irked me..if you are going to charge $$$ for a meal, make sure it lives up to the cost.
The drinks were poor quality,
The Caesar salad was tasteless
The dessert lacked flavour
Great meal all around
We stayed at the hotel and had existing reservations for the date, a night after also dining at Morton's and being very disappointed. This time, the second evening, things were a bit better but still well be low expectations. Our server was much better, but the food remained average at best. After dining here for two consecutive nights our overall impression was not that great. When staying in the area would would dine elsewhere for sure.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Crystal did a fantastic job. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend
We were disappointed. The food was not all that good - average at best. The service was very slow. Overall for the prices they charge the entire meal was very disappointing. Though we stayed at the hotel we would not eat here again.
Great atmosphere and great food.
Meal was not up our expectations. Much too expensive for quality of food
Our waiter was outstanding! Steak a 9.5/10, and the seafood entree was a 7.5/10. Overall dining experience was good...for the price expected everything to be a 10.
I would not recommend it
Taking family from overseas to see Niagara Falls
I made reservations for a window table based on the write up on the restaurant about the great views of the falls. When I arrived we were going to have to wait for a window table so we waited at the bar. For 2 martinis it cost of $48. Once we were seated we found out that the beautiful views of the falls were actually a view of trees, not the falls. We could have saved the $48 we spent while we waited. After being seated it took 50 minutes to get our first course. The waitress rarely came by our table. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full. Service was so slow that we ordered our dessert to go and asked for our bill while we were still eating our main course. Food taste was very good, but the slow service and expensive meal was not worth the price it cost us to eat there.
The food and service at Morton's is terrific... HOWEVER... this Morton's is at Niagara Falls... and their website boasts a view of the falls... which in retrospect is clearly doctored image with the view photo shopped in... as there is practically NO VIEW OF THE FALLS from any table at this Morton's. ( there is a line of trees that blocks the view)
If you are going for the food... enjoy... if you are going strictly for the VIEW... forget about it.
Was my son’s 13th birthday and when the waitress took our order she didn’t ask him for a drink. When he asked her if he could have a drink when she came back she did not apologize for her mistake but just said sure...
my husband’s steak was cooked properly but was a very tough cut. He didn’t even eat half of the steak. Normal restaurants would take it off the bill but they did not and we had to ask for the manager.
The manager’s excuse for the waitress not taking it off the bill was she did not have the authority to do it. But really she had the ability to ask a manager to get it off the bill. He did offer my son a free desert for us to come back... that was not going to happen.
Overall I would not recommend it...
We had a great time with a view of the falls. Our waiter Michael was informative and friendly. The appetizer, main course and dessert were all worthy of our praise.
Thank you for helping to make our first anniversary memor
The service was outstanding! Chantelle was top notch. The food choices were limited. The key lime pie was excellent. The layout and view is worth going to for a drink and maybe an appetizer. I would not eat a meal there.
The food was fabulous. The Shrimp Diablo and mac & cheese are a must try. Service was top notch
Disappointed with the view but that was maybe our expectations, better from the room. Main course came just as we finished starter and I mean just so no break in between. As soon as we had finished the meal, the bill was prepared so quite rushed. The meal experience felt rushed. We ate in the bar on the previous night and this was much better even though it was only a light snack.
Thank you for making our 20th Wedding Anniversary special! The staff was wonderful!
Steak was burnt. Should have never come out since it was night and day with the one they brought my wife and we both ordered the same.
Sat at 7:45 and received my steak at 9:15. Everyone was already done eating.
A lovely experience overall, our hostess was great too. The steak was great. I would give it 4/5 for value. Two of us dined for 150 cad without drinks
Celebrating 51st anniversary and Morton’s was in same Marriott Fallsview Hotel. Awesome table overlooking falls and good service. Only disappointment was our filets were over cooked.
Desiree the waitress was outstanding. She knew the menu, the options and was very service-oriented. My wife's filet was very tough, not too standards expected. Desiree agreed when she saw the piece of meat and the meat was compensated, as my wife had eaten too much of it before concluded it was just too tough and did not want a replacement. My Chicken Piccata was good but much more than preferred and did not eat it all. and agreed. It was also a little over-cooked, for rare. Value is medium, as prices are high, but that was known from history. We were advised before by hotel, in email, after made reservation, that the dress was business casual and we made the effort to change clothes but saw that code really was not maintained for the 'family vacation hotel.' In making a recommendation to a friend one must be sure they understand the emphasis is on meat and it is a per item, pricing plan, and the total price will be 'above average.' From our perspective, on this occasion, the food was below expectations and we would not make a recommendation. At the same time, these comments are not for publication.
Love the crabcake, great view & service
