The service was really slow. The outdoor covid seating is sooo uncomfortable. Steak was overdone. Crab & shrimp cocktail was good. Don’t get the truffle butter. More like garlic butter.
at first they seated but without asking they moved us to a better place. The service was outstanding from everyone. They took our picture (it was good) for my fiancee's birthday and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend it.
We stopped at Morton's for lunch. Didn't realize that you could get such a great deal at 1PM. The food, as always, was excellent. Sumptuous lump crab cakes. A uniquely seasoned filet mignon, broiled to perfection. Delicious sautéed spinach and button mushrooms. Crisp, fresh Caesar salad and Wedge salad. All so good, finished with an excellent creme brûlée. Service was top-notch. Lunch menu saved us a small fortune, compared to dinner prices. Lunch at Morton's? Yes, please!
We went to get a nice Steak and a souffle. When we were seated we were told no Souffle's anymore. Strike 1. Ordered appetizers and was surprised we got our soup before the appetizers. Strike 2. Brought our own bottle of wine and was shocked to see a $50 corkage fee on the bill! Waitress popped the cork and put 2 glasses on the table. She didn't even offer to decant the wine! When I complained Mgr did comp us 1 appetizer off the bill but $50 corkage is obscene. Wife's desert was sitting on the counter while we were still eating our steaks and by the time she got it the ice cream was melted. Strike 3! Waitress timing was bad all night, she seemed like a rookie and if they are going to charge a $50 corkage fee they should say something BEFORE opening the wine.
The food was excellent. Our server Bonnie was great!
Morton’s never disappoints. Friendly attentive staff, fabulous meal, beautiful ambiance. My steak was cooked to PERFECTION... I call my preferred temperature “Faint heartbeat” 😉 lol
Excellent lunch today! Their two-course prime lunch is a great value. Food was perfectly prepared and service superior. Ambiance at their new location is pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommend!

My fiancé and I came to Morton’s this past Saturday evening to celebrate a recent promotion. This was the worst dining experience of our lives!! Everything was terrible; the food was not edible, cold, and entirely unappetizing. It looked that the filet mignon was sitting under the heat lamp (the plate was super hot and dry and sticky juice from the steak) for at least 15 minutes. Both Filets looked different. One was pressed with the iron pan because it looked flat; it was dry and overcooked (ordered medium), and the other one was ok but bland. We recognize that we are up against difficult times with COVID and staffing measures, but this is unacceptable and quite frankly atrocious.

We sat outside. Service started off very slow.
There was a domestic incident across the street from us. A man beat his girlfriend and they made a lot of noises throughout our dinner. My girlfriend called the police as no one else seemed bothered by this incident. This is not something that is conducive to a pleasant dining experience.

The steak is just terrible. We ordered medium well but we got absolutely well done.(I can’t believe it was cooked by Morton!)
The seafood tower smells really really bad and nothing is fresh.
We requested to have the heater turn on, but they spent 20-30 minutes just working on the heater!
I spent $400 to have dinner with my friend but I actually felt like got beaten by someone with what I have paid.
Nothing can be worse, from the welcome, order, food and service.
But if I’m writing like this, you might think I’m just a hater so I will give a compliment.
The red wine by glass, the $26/glass one, is very good and we loved it.
I honestly want to call my bank and request a refund. But I won’t do that because then they will think I’m poor. No, there’s nothing about money. It’s really that bad.
Great meal & service. Got the special that’s not on the menu. Get on the mailing list! Saved me a ton of money!

Medium rare is a warm pink. Good for thicker steak like ribeye but rare is probably better for filet mignon.

I was really excited about going to Morton’s. We arrived and were seated at an awful table outside near the sidewalk. Then it took more than 30 minutes just to get a water. Awful experience. My boyfriend steak had way too much fat. Not worth the $160.
Food was wonderful, as it always is at Morton's. So glad they can serve indoors again.

Indoor dining provided spacing between tables and booths, so it was a comfortable spacing apart for the covid situation.
The music was way too loud to make it a calm environment and a fully enjoyable experience. Lots of jazz (sax) music with upbeat tempo throughout the 90 min meal without much relief. That's totally fine in a bar setting or a more casual one. The speakers were right overhead each booth, so finally had enough and half way through the meal we asked the waitress if she could turn it down. She said she'd ask the manager. I do believe it did lower temporarily....maybe it was just the choice of music that made it seem quieter? By the time we were eating dessert and signing the bill, the fast paced jazz music was pumping up pace in the dining room again. It was definitely loud overhead again.
The dining room had very few tables filled (this was a Sunday at 5 p.m.) indoors so the music was over-bearing; filling a nearly empty room.
I have a BA in Music. I Love just about any kind of music. But this was too loud and the jumping, rhythmic jazz was not appropriate for a high-end, expensive meal that should have been enjoyed in a more quiet environment.
I guess I am also wondering why "ignoring" the customers' point of over-bearing dining music was so difficult to understand?
Another disappointing visit. Last time we were a party of four and every steak was overcooked. This time it was just my husband and myself and my steak was overcooked. The hostess told us when she sat us that we would only have 90 minutes due to the COVID capacity restrictions and them wanting to get more business in. However, we sat for 15 minutes at our table before the server came. A manager had to come by and get our drink orders. The server was not very pleasant. Said he had been gone 8 months, maybe he wasn't happy to be back at work or maybe he had too many tables. We had to ask a manager for butter because the server was rarely around. We really like visiting Morton's in other cities because we love a good steak, but this restaurant is a continuous let down.

It's the 1st time we dined out since COVID-19. The food is still great, as well as the service. It was not great to hear loud car noises while dining, but we understand the outdoor dining rules. We were unhappy with the new corkage fee of $50/bottle. This seems excessive and quite unreasonable.

Morton’s is doing the best they can under the restrictions of Covid. The outside dining is a complex blend of fine dining with multiple homeless wandering around outside the fencing. Definitely entertaining. The food was outstanding.
It was our first time dining out since the pandemic started and we couldn’t have picked a better place. Service was great and food was delicious. They didn’t have the dessert we were looking for but the whole dinner experience was still awesome! We were very satisfied with how our night turned out and felt that the precautions taken were great.

Also it seems prices are way higher, I am guessing since they don’t have any seating they charge more.

The noise level was ridiculous you cannot enjoy a nice dinner listening to a-holes riding their bikes with their music so loud you can’t hear!
If and when we return to California we will not visit San Jose downtown or Morton’s.

Extremely slow service - maybe due to outdoor dining? We had to ask for a server and then no one seemed to be assigned to our table. There are definitely other steakhouses in the area with better quality and service.

The whole experience was near perfect, my wifes steak was undercooked but they took care of that right away and cooked it perfectly without any hassle.
Nice outdoor patio for Covid safe dining. The food was excellent, perhaps the best we've ever had at Mortons. We will be back very soon.

My party arrived for our reservation at 8 we didn’t get seated until 830. The waitress didn’t ask if we’ve ever been to Morton’s. Her energy just wasn’t there and to top it off after paying $500 for dinner a RAT came charging towards our table we jumped up and left. I’ll probably never come here again. Cheers to turning 35 and getting poor service.
Morton's San Jose is doing a great job with outdoor dining during these unusual times. The food and service met their high standards. One drawback was the smell of pot coming from the park across the street, but this was at the end of our meal or we would have switched tables or left sooner. It was also nice to see this Morton's honoring the Landry's promotional offer as is, without a local mark-up (this happened at this location with a similar offer 6 months ago).
Great food and cocktails. Came to the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The host was super sweet. She offered to take our picture and framed it with a hand written “Happy Anniversary.”
