Morty's Oyster Stand

This restaurant is not open - we made a reservation, which was confirmed by Open Table, and showed up to a shuttered restaurant. Would be helpful if the info on Open Table was accurate (I think this place closes for the fall/winter season).

Lobster rolls were not that good

extremely limited menu. small portions. perhaps there is a limited menu due to covid. i would not recommend and will not be going back

The food left a lot to be desired. The steak sandwich was ok. The burger was sub-par. The mushroom topping on the salad was maybe 4 mushrooms and the fried chicken was not flavorful or moist. The biscuit that came with it was alright. Overpriced grapefruit vodka drink and too much ice in the bourbon.

Definitely will go back. Only complaint is plastic cups I just prefer glass for the price.

Decent food. Got eaten alive by bugs. We were ignored by the wait staff for the most part of our meal.

Best mussels ever. Disappointed no Bronzino. Entrees cane out wrong and too fast. Then refuted and took too long. Wrong entree was on bill
Fir a $32.00 overcharge. Salmon dish excellent. 2lb lobster well cooked.
Overall would recommend. Just some glitches.

Open air spot on Route 27 on the Napeague Stretch, not far from Hither Hills. No view of the ocean, but the ocean air and light contribute to a breezy, relaxed atmosphere, which can be just what you need on a late summer evening. Tables are far sort. Stylish outdoor design. Everything else sort of mediocre. A relaxed place to have a drink and a plate of unremarkable food drawn from a limited menu. Service was good natured and pretty fast.

Make sure to call ahead if you make an open table reservation, my reservation was for 12... we showed up and they did not open until 1pm. Luckily the Clam Bar down the road was open, it would up being a much better choice.

Staff was wonderful. Food great. Very laidback and relaxing

We really enjoyed our lunch and the servers were very nice and pleasant.

Excellent everything but specially the service

It seems like there is such potential for this restaurant. Everyone who was working the day we went was extremely nice, but there is quite a lag in attentiveness even when there are only three tables occupied. The music selection the day we were there seemed very unmatched to such a beach vibe restaurant as well. The food was great though and the outdoor space was nicely designed.

VERY limited menu, no bug lights to help with insects, attitude

Interesting vibe. Very simple and yet good menu. We’d go back for sure.
