   Terrible service. Cold mediocre food. Had a reservation. Arrived and time and were seated. Then proceeded to wait 35 minutes to have our drink and food orders taken. We had two tables. One table of 9, 6 of which were children. Our second table was a seating of 7 all adults. Both tables had their order taken at approximately the same time. 25 minutes later both tables received all the alcoholic drinks but it took several requests and another 25 minutes for the non alcoholic drinks, some at both tables to arrive. The table of 7 received their food approximately 1hr after ordering. The table of nine took another 30 minutes. Both tables then waited for cutlery. One of the worst restaurants I’ve been to. The restaurant was roughly have full and it could be seen that all patrons were having the same experience.

   I was staying at the hotel after experiencing Christmas flight delays. Given the circumstances and the weather, I was limited to using the hotel facilities for my stay. I have Celiac disease, so was very limited in choice from the menus but managed. On the second evening I ordered the steak, which was in my opinion very expensive and sadly overcooked. Just my though, but if the hotel is going to offer a relatively pricy option, then cooking it should be spot on. I did express my thoughts gently, but no follow-up from the management. The staff, however were terrific and understanding of the needs of the customers over this time period. Edward, our breakfast server and also the evening bar manager were just lovely and catered very well to what was needed, with understanding and with much needed smiles and humour. At a difficult travel time, it was so nice to be treated in a caring and understanding way.
