Mott 32 - Las Vegas
This is the third time we visited Mott 32. Previously we had great experience so we came back, but this time it was a big disappointment. We spent almost $1,000 that night for four people, but the reserve we received was one of the worst we ever have had! It took the waiter more than 20 minutes to even come to our table, greet us and take our cocktail order. He was not knowledgeable about the menu and made some poor recommendations. We ordered the signature duck which is supposed to be prepared in two ways. The traditional Peking duck and then you can choose how to prepare the second course with the remaining of the duck. To our surprise the second course of the duck was brought to us before even our duck’s first course was prepared in front of us. We asked how it could be possible since the second course is supposed be from our own duck. The waiter said “oh, we rotate ducks, so this is not from your duck”. Oh, from some other else’s leftover duck? It took away the specialty of this dish. We double checked with our but we still ordered way too much food. We had 3 dishes which were barely touched and when we got home, we realized they only packed four pieces of ours ducked and threw away all the other food! We called the restaurant and the manager was quick to resolve the issue and offer to credit two dishes. But it is quite an embarrassing experience to take our friends to dine there. We truly enjoyed the restaurant before so really hope they can look into the issue so customers do not walk away from them.
Other than the great service and ambiance, very mediocre. Food was just okay and we were expecting great. Definitely won’t be coming back.
Mott 32 wins! We have been a rabid Tao fan, but this trip tried Tao and Mott 32, two nights apart. Wow, Mott 32 won hands down!! Ambience is upbeat in both restaurants and decor is millennial-industrial. But the flavors.....wow. Both intense and yet subtly layered. Tremendous combining of different foods and sauces into great flavors. We will be back and now Mott 32 my be our Asian favorite. You can go safe with Cantonese, but you can savor the Sichuan as well. Beef, pork or vegetable, you can have it all! Thanks for a great night, Allison!
Average ... Good marketing, but delivery is underwhelming at best. Equally good Chinese food is available in the food court at much lower prices.
Food was great , service fall off from the last time I dined there .
Great service. Good food.
Gods was good but not great. Black cod was terrible. Black cod does need to much work. People were nice and accommodating place was only half to 2/3 filled at 9.
Everything was delicious! The Dim Sum Drinks Sum is great!
Absolutely amazing food! We went for my wife's birthday and it was a wonderful experience. Great ambiance and service.
Start to finish this was my and my wife's best dining experience ever. The staff was extremely attentive to every detail. The ambience was one of a kind. Private but open to watch and observe the workings of the establishment in action. Our servers were spot on with our main server Valentino making sure we ordered to our tastes and he hit a home run. Every aspect of our meal was spectacular. I can't wait to come back to Las Vegas and revisit a one of a kind experience.
The dumplings where to die for, lobster rice on point and the short rib fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. We all fought for the beef lettuce cups and the tso chicken. No wonder it was a Michelin Star Restaurant.
It was fantastic! If I were to give one suggestion; I had the wok fried lobster ( delicious), but too hard to eat with chopsticks. I would serve it with a cocktail fork.
The Peking duck is the restaurant main course, but we could not tried it. The people work there told us that we need to order a whole Peking duck and we only have 2 people :(
Probably one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Food is on point - I recommend the Peking duck and lobster mapo tofu. Every drink blew me away - we tried 7 different ones. I don’t typical go to the same restaurant when in Vegas bc there’s so many places to try - but this place demands it. Can’t wait to go back again
The service was excellent. The drink menu had many great options. Our food was wonderfully prepared and exceeded our expectations. We had a great time celebrating and would absolutely return
Mott 32 was worth going to. We loved the appetizers - scallops & pumpkin soup, duck, cucumber dish. Drinks were amazing.
Didn’t like the lobster at all.
But .. when they realized we didn’t like it they refunded us entire cost of lobster which was so cool of them. Would go back for sure.
Excellent food and great server.
Their pecking duck was amazing. Just make sure to reserve ahead of time because they do sell out fast! Great service and the staff is very accommodatinG.
We went for K’s 50th birthday before seeing Shin Lim. Did not try the Peking duck since it would take 30-40 min and cost $108....we ordered the minced duck lettuce wrap, flat rice noodle, beef broccoli, spring rolls, mushroom dumplings, sweet sour pork, soft tofu with mushroom, pork buns. The pork buns were the best and so good....light flaky bun. We ordered the Yan chow fried rice but another table got it and we were too full so we were gonna cancel and the waiter gave us white rice. Our waiter was the best...friendly, so accommodating to our tight show schedule and personable.
Very good and modern restaurant. Music, mood and decoration is good and I ate the best dumplings of my life !
This was my second time dining here in the last month. I absolutely love this restaurant from the service to the decor and of course the food. I have always found it difficult to find a high end Chinese restaurant worth the money but Mott 32 has done it. I can’t wait to go back again!
The staff was amazing. The ambiance was so nice and relaxing. It was a beautiful setting. Our waitress was so knowledgeable we let her help customize our meal. We will be back for sure !!
Fantastic. Best I’ve ever had!!
It’s difficult to say anything bad about Mott32 the food was just amazing we had a load of dim sum and appetisers to share everyone left highly satisfied by the flavour and quality of food. The service on all levels was exceptional our server was incredibly helpful, polite and friendly and answered all questions we had! The feel of the restaurant is very calm with a great ambiance I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to experience high quality Asian cuisine thank you!
Outstanding service and food
Overall experience was good but general tso’s chicken dish got us sick. The texture was way off (as I’ve ordered it twice before) as it tasted like a soft calamari or tough fish filet. We sent back the first order and the replacement dish had the same issue... we did receive free 2nd round of drinks, but we unfortunately all got sick within few hours after dinner... it was very unfortunate and I am not sure I would return. I shouldn’t be getting sick off of food that is gourmet and high in price...
We really enjoyed our experience at Mott32 and plan to return to try more of the items on the menu. It is a lovely restaurant with excellent service. We shared several plates and really enjoyed the wok fried rice noodles with Angus beef and the crispy sugar coated Iberico pork buns. From our table we could see the area where the Peking duck was being prepared; will definitely be on the list of dishes to order on our next visit!
Everything was fantastic, food was amazing, service was impeccable, and we left with our pallets conquered by excellence
Party of two on a Wednesday evening pre Jackson Browne concert. I had high expectations. Hostess attempted to place us at the least desirable table in a dining room that had three occupied tables. I asked for a different table. She informed us that the table I initially desired was reserved. Through our entire dining experience that table was never occupied. Only two other tables were sat in the ninety minutes we were dining. The glass of champagne served in a regular wine glass was flat and maybe a six ounce pour for $18.00. The food runner attempted to serve us someone else’s entrees until a chef came out to advise her otherwise. We ordered safe and basic entrees as we were provided zero guidance from the waiter. The food was fine. The ambiance is no where near other Chinese dinner houses in Las Vegas. They will need to improve quickly to compete with Wynn and Caesar’s options for fine Chinese cuisine.
Peking Duck delicious , wanted to keep duck to pick at ; was taken to kitchen with option to make another dish (upcharge) wine by the glass very expensive 2 gl 52.00$ busboy extremely attentive , waiter pleasant , ambience very nice 👍
Stunning food from dumplings to duck. Stylish atmosphere and very well organised service especially with table side dishes. Only challenge is trying not to order everything on the menu. The duck is the essential experience here.
Outstanding food paired with poor service.
Food was superb, but Las Vegas dinning is VERY EXPENSIVE.
The single reason we went back to Mott 32 was because of the duck we had last time. Despite more than double the price of a regular roast duck, it is worth the price because of the unique applewood they use to roast the duck. There was not ONE trace of the applewood in the duck we had that night. We went fairly early at 6 pm so I am not sure if the duck was from the night before; but regardless, it was a big disappointment as we were there to celebrate a birthday. The appetizers were hit and miss - shrimp toast was superb and we ended up ordering an extra. Crispy squid was very good. Dumplings and pork buns were mediocre. If you are a xiao long bao fan, skip it here. On the service, we experienced the same thing as last time where the bus girl/server helper was much better and alert than the server. Not sure how the restaurant picks their staff but twice in a row to me seems puzzling.
Peking duck was excellent
Overpriced for what it was. We had an 8pm reservation, However, most of their popular dishes were sold out for the night already. Staff was nice, but was very slow.
I booked this in advance, and preordered the duck after reading several reviews that you must try the duck.
We were notified after being seated at a low lounge table that my legs wouldn’t even fit under to sit and eat a nice meal comfortably, that the dining room was completely booked for a private event. Neither the manager nor our waitress were able to offer any solutions. (When asked what they could do I answered; higher table or showers chair, mostly in jest.)
My husband noticed my chair was different than the one at another table and I tried that one and it was much better, although still not an ideal situation for a nice, expensive meal that we had looked forward to. So, we swapped chairs. No one at the restaurant noticed.
The rest of the evening wasn’t any better. Ordered two appetizers (two dim sum options); one was good, but not great, the other I only took one bite of. No flavor and unappealing texture. The duck was good but nothing amazing and we weren’t given any instructions on the traditional way to eat with the pancakes and sides the gave. The side that was recommended was not enjoyable.
Service was bad. I think our waitress probably had way too many tables. We were never checked on and had empty wine glasses for quite awhile before attempting to get a second glass by flagging down the hostess. (Didn’t work. She did nothing and never told our waitress.) by the time we did get another glass - maybe 20 min later - our food was cold.
While in Vegas we also ate at Hell’s Kitchen (great food, great service), Joel Robuchon (AMAZING high end experience - food and service) and Blackout (great service, good enough food - this one is all about the EXPERIENCE!).
Food was pretty excellent, consistent across many dishes we sampled. Service was polite and friendly but the poor chap was running ragged.
The food, ambiance, and overall experience was amazing! The manager, Nathan, was very hospitable and made sure we had an enjoyable evening.
