Amazing food, the chicken schnitzel; wow! Very comfortable inside, perfect for a birthday get together.

More expensive than I thought for a hotel but the food was exquisite. Definitely get what you pay for.

The food was very disappointing. The lamb was almost all fat.

We sat outside and the environment was quiet with good ambience and background music. The food is excellent...way above normal pub food. The service was also very friendly and accomodating. We will go back to the Mount Erica

The whole evening was the best we have had at Mount Erica.
However our dinner plates were left in front of us for about ten minutes after we had finished. Also we noticed the table next to us had dirty plates left for more than 15 minutes. A real downer for the evening. Maybe you are short of staff.

A lovely outdoor space with an amazing host who was incredibly welcoming and friendly.

Noticed that the schnitzel was a little smaller than usual however the taste was still outstanding! Love the venue all was great.

Good pub setting with a really simple but well put together gastro pub menu.

Great local pub, food is really good quality. Wine list a bit limited but that is understandable during Covid times.

Fish and chips were excellent but my roasted cauliflower- whilst tasty was cold😕

Food was reasonable. But should expect something better for the price. $110 per head at a pub is rich. Not likely to return any time soon. Can do much better in that price range elsewhere.

Love the venue and the food but service is the worst I’ve come across! We ordered drinks, a pint of beer and a cocktail and then saw the same waitress walk to a table of 10 young females thinking it was theirs! Found it odd as she had literally taken our order 3 mins before and would of found it hard to believe young females would order a pint of Carlton draught (good on them if they did) we had to hail down waiters to order more drinks and seemed like it was an inconvenience for them them!

I asked if the sirloin was the same as steak night use to be and was told yes, totally different, different chips that were soggy a lentil salad (allergic to lentils) and the medium rare steak was dry and overcooked.

The place looks gorgeous but the food was lukewarm and bland, and overpriced. For $30+ mains I’d expect much more in terms of flavour and presentation. The recipe is also quite limited. I wouldn’t return.

My friend and I visited just after Christmas. We got a seat out in the courtyard as we had our furry friend with us. It was very busy but service was still very quick and friendly. The courtyard was lovely and is a sun trap. It’s the perfect place for a causal lunch and pub food. I got the chicken schnitzel which was a good portion and I especially loved the slaw that accompanied it. This was delicious, crunchy and zingy. It didn’t come with chips which I thought was a bit strange and I ordered a side of chips to go with it. I’m a big eater but the extra chips was too much so if they had it with the schnitzel, it would have been perfect. My friend had the fish and chips which was also a big portion. The batter on the fish was light and fluffy. Definitely will visit it again.

Great lunch, I had the lamb rack abd got some chips and aoli to share. Could not fault really. Great service. Will go back

Really good! Clever menu and delicious food. These guys were very well organised and we were well looked after with lunch on a busy day. Will happily go back.

Disappointing staff attitude and lack of service & acknowledgment when feedback was provided. Lots of excuses after excuses.

We’re regulars. Have been back 3 times since the reopening Nov. Initially I put it down to the team being out of practice. 2nd visit we spent over $150pp despite waiting for our table booking 6.30pm (90 wait), getting hungry, food order mistakes & dismissive attitude with constant errors but we still all tipped 10% because the kitchen is great. 3rd time - need to share compounding experience!

Yesterday, a business lunch and we’re seated in the bar area which was fine. 40mins later, 2hr booking seating, no one checked on us so we asked the bar person if we needed to order at the bar. We were assured we still get service. Whilst we asked to order in 2mins, 10mins later order taken.
40 minutes later our food hadn’t arrived, we had no water left & no one checked if we wanted top ups or if we needed to leave soon. Lots of staff walking pass n forth but no one made eye contact with us so we could get their attentions - all tried to signal. We were now 90mins into our booking so I walked over to let the manager know it’s been 40mins since our order and we are needing to leave in the next 30mins.

Mgr: There’s no service over there
Us: But we checked with the bar person & she assured us we would get service
Mgr: When did you place your order
Us: 40 mins ago
Mgr: 40 mins that’s normal for us
(Me thinking) - Oh, thanks for letting us know
Glassy: guys your food is getting dished up now
Us to manager - I’m just letting you know because we’ve had lack of service & you’ve been helpful in the past
Waiter: we’re not under new management, it’s been challenging here since Covid
Managers come over: oh and the food didn’t just come out because you complained, plus we thought you were waiting on 8 others.
Me: My booking was 6 & I emailed you and said we are 4.

Mt Erica we’re very simple & standard hospitality goes a long way but you didn’t seem to care.

Just a great pub with great service. We keep coming back for a reason.

We were set up down the back in the corner. But I don’t think it would matter. The place was set up really well. The outdoor setting looked excellent as well.

Had a very nice evening and the meals were good. Service was terrific but the noise level made it really difficult to have an easy conversation

Great for our party of six. Staff knowledgeable, attentive and fun. Best service I’ve ever had in a pub. Food, wine and other bevs extensive options. Setting in outdoor garden was perfect for us

Nice, cosy environment with lots of space. Team was friendly, beers cold, food delicious!! We attended for a work lunch. Will return. Parking is tough though.

Moved us to another table in the courtyard. 4 different hosts (not talking to each other) all kept telling us different things suggesting we move again or have to leave altogether. Frustrating AF. Left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing.

Lovely pub for a meal and few drinks. A few knobheads as expected because of the location. Bar staff were okay however a particular one was rude, hopefully he'll be hit by a tram soon.

Great venue - we were a big group - and they really looked after us

We needed a space for a large group to catchup without being locked into fixed priced package. Whilst there was a time limit, we were given another space to move to, so we could stay on at the venue. Great night had by all because of the relaxed and helpful service.

My favourite hotel. An absolute must for top value and service.
