We had a great experience. We have been looking for a new brunch spot and i think we can add Murphy's to our list!
Server forgot to order my salad and my drink. He attempted to make up for it with dessert but then returned to the table to inform me they were out of dessert.
For the first time in many many years, the food was just ho- hum and a disappointment .
I’ve always counted on the consistency and quality at Murphys. This was my first let down.
We ordered 3 items: starter, entree and side. Only the Brussels sprouts were typical of the usual standard,
Great food and staff!
My wife and I love Murphy's. It can get a bit loud. I only gave the food a 4, as the Gazpacho was all liquid, otherwise our food and wine were excellent. Even so, we'll definitely be back.
Great ambiance, friendly staff, nice menu, especially desserts.
Food was okay. We weren’t impressed by anything, the staff was wonderful though.
Great service staff and made us feel like home!! Prices are little on the high side but we love coming to Murphy's...cheers til next time-
Our family loves Murphy’s. Which is good, because I’m addicted to the Toll House Pie. 😂
Tremendous brunch! The chilaquiles are perfection!
Great service by Candace, our server. The scallops and meatloaf were amazing! I definitely recommend the pound cake with fresh Georgia peaches and ice cream!! Yum!
This marked our 20 year anniversary coming to Murphy’s ... we’ll be back!
Great food, great atmosphere. Convenient to downtown for lunch. Happy that parking on the street is now free.
Great neighborhood spot with fine food and terrific service. Who could ask for more?
We've always enjoyed the great service and excellent food at Murphy's. It is truly a neighborhood gem and on this occasion, we had the added bonus of half-priced bottled wines on Mondays!
I had looked at the menu & photos online and it looked good, and it really very good. We've eaten at other restaurants in town better known for their haute cuisine for twice or thrice the cost. We found the food to obviously prepaared by a creative and well trained chef. Our server, Iian, was smart, nice, and conscientious about my food allergies. Bravo, we'll be back.
The Lobster Cobb Salad is always perfection! Excellent service and atmosphere. A favorite spot for me for sure and always a treat to dine there!
One of the most consistently great restaurants in Atlanta. A neighborhood gem.
The ambiance and service are always great , however the food this time was somewhat disappointing. I had the spinach omelette which was normal, but did not move my taste buds. When you go to Murphy's as in the past one expects food beyond normal. Our server was amazing doing everything possible to make us happy. I don't have his name handy but hope that management will let him know how much he was appreciated. The grilled pound cake with a peach topping was fantastic. My guest was disappointed with her crab cake in that she thought there was like a English muffin was stuffed inside of it. She did not send it back and just accepted it.
Murphy's remains a Virginia Highlands Fav! Went there Tuesday night. While waiting for our table, we were entertained really, by an outstanding bar-tender. Super-friendly, informative and great at his job! The service continued to be excellent throughout dinner. Had the bolognese lasagna, also tasted the ribeye (wow, great sauce!) and the brisket. Planning our return trip already!
I was not very impressed by the “crab cake” Benedict. It was more of a mound of crab meat tucked under the eggs. The place was very noisy and we were put into a two top table in a corner when there were several nicer tables available. Service also lacked. For the price, I was underwhelmed.
Awesome food and service as per usual
Love the brisket sandwich!! It’s the best sandwich
Murphy's menu variety and quality of food has maintained its high standards through the years. And i should know we have been going there for over 20 years. We always take visitors and friends there because one of the best draws is you stay open past the traditional lunch hours!
I'd also like to mention that we try and get Lauren as our server, because she is always a pleasure, knowledgeable about the food and wine and specials of the day. A great person with a great attitude, we love her!
excellent service - se we seated in a quiet corner - thanks, Murphy's
They changed the menu. More limited, but still a lovely meal experience. It was my friends birthday and they brought a small sweet treat - much smaller than what had been provided on previous birthday celebrations.
First time ever going to the long running Murphy’s, what a great experience!
Food, service, ambiance all are exceptionally good. Well done, I am definitely going to return to Murphy’s.
Excellent overall experience! We went on a Saturday night and everything from the seating to service to the food was top notch! My sister commented that they have an impressive and extensive wine list. Go here!!
Great place for dinner and birthday celebration
Erin was a fantastic server and very knowledgeable. When we return, we will ask for Erin. Food and Scotch suggestions she made were exemplary.
The menu was very high quality, and the service was very prompt. The quailty of the food was excellent.
Outside seating was really cute! We really enjoyed our food and the service was great!
Great food and service! Would definitely go back again.
Food was high quality and perfectly cooked, but unfortunately quite bland for both our entrees. Dessert was excellent. Atmosphere was why we came and it was as expected. Service was great.
Murphy's does an outstanding brunch. It was so good, I came back two days later. Their ingredients are fresh, the atmosphere is pleasant and the service was great both times. I highly recommend Linda's Omelet and their nitro cold brew coffee. Delicious!
I truly forgot what a gem Murphy's is.When the Donlan children all lived in town, it was our "go to" Brunch place, but they have all scattered to the wind, and we found other places in our ever growing Atlanta dining scene. The Giving Kitchen dining initiative brought us back, and we were glad to rediscover this VH old friend!
We had a party of six for a birthday celebration. We all ordered the sole and each of us found it amazing. One of the best dishes that I have had in quite a while!
Murphy's is always dependable. Good food, reasonable space for business discussion (I did ask for a secluded table), good service. Parking is sometimes challenging (at lunch that is, I think there is a valet at dinner). And you always seem to run into someone you know. You really can't miss at Murphey's.
We need to remind ourselves to look at the menu before we book. We go to Murphy’s fairly regularly. But when we got there we found the usual mussels was not on the menu. So....we went with the trout (her) and the seared tuna salad. (It should be noted that the trout listed on the menu, is not on the Web site menu. So, it’s unreliable, as it is.) Both trout and tuna were good with a bottle of ‘The Ned,’ a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
If there’s a favorite dish at Murphy’s and you don’t see it on the menu, you might wanna call.
