   Chicken Burgers was very dry and plain no relish or sauces and overcooked Chicken wing portions are very small overall the food quality had decreased No flexibility at all with regards to booking wanted to arrive 30min earlier was rudely told no you are full to arrive with more than 10tables open? Unfortunately i doubt we will be back just not value for money anymore

   Food was very good and fresh however, the food quantity was a bit light on compared to the price so not real value for money. We were contemplating ordering a pizza afterwards. Slightly disappointed.

   The smoked meat platter was over priced and was more like a plate of chips with a side of meats. The meats were well cooked and perfectly smoked.

   We absolutely love Murrays! We visit each time we come up to port Stephens. Great place for the kids to run around, huge drinks selection and a great little shop!

    For the price, incredibly poor food , over $60 for 2 burgers and 1 small serve of hot chips , no salad in the burgers just 3 slices of pickle, very poor! Then add in the fact that once your server has shown you to your table , you use your phone to order and pay for your meals , when your meals are ready you get a text message notification alerting you that your food is ready for you to walk in and collect to take back to your table. Nice little system really....however they bung on an extra 10% venue surcharge for that! Cannot recommend this place to anyone unfortunately.

    Booking was seated under small umbrellas that barely provide shade on a 32+ degree day. Undercover seating was empty but have to book at that table so you don't get charged a fortune for not ordering enough. Food is very expensive. Kids pizza was tiny, only had cheese and ham and was nearly $17, sauce for kids nuggets was $2 which is outrageous. The ordering system is frustrating, couldn't order all food at once. Wait for food was ages and then the kitchen nearly gave half of it to the next person who walked up. Won't be back.

    I went to Murray's was for the rack of ribs but for some reason they weren't on the menu, which was disappointing. An alternate choice from the menu was fine but I missed those ribs. Some large shade sails on the deck area would improve the comfort on a hot sunny day. All in all, a great experience on our latest visit.

    Food is quite over priced and always an issue when we go to Murray’s. Never out in a decent time or at the same time. Line up at the bar was almost a 30 minute wait until a bunch of buses left out of frustration. Such a wonderful venue and staff always trying their best just the set up let’s them down! Maybe open the wine cellar no one uses for a bar when busy?

    Lovely venue. A few things in menu were not available and the payment system was playing up causing a bit of a delay. Overall nice location for some nice food. Brewery was good. Good range of beers

    Booked 6 weeks prior but did not know that you needed to request an umbrella to provide shade. Was seated in the sun with no sun protection. Food was ordered but did not arrive. Questioned staff after 60 minutes of waiting. Was told that there was a technical error and food would be at least another 20 minutes. After further waiting with no food in sight, requested a refund which we were given along with an apology. Left and went elsewhere for lunch.

    Murray’s has a great atmosphere. The beers are full flavoured and delicious. I had the pumpkin pesto pizza, which was fabulous. My husband had the brisket plate and loved it. Definitely worth a visit.

    Disappointed since our last visit - the food and portion size was very small compared to last time for the price. My chicken schnitzel was very oily and made my fries underneath soggy. The meat platter was very small compared to last time. Didn’t love sitting outside compared to undercover- especially being quite wet. Used to love coming to Murray’s but not sure we will return.

    Great ambience and location. There was 1 poor bartender alone with very long lines for drinks. Food was overpriced. Charging an additional $2 for a tiny 25g container of tomato sauce to go with an already overpriced burger seemed cheeky, and a $20 salad that was mostly baby spinach leaves.

    Murrays is a bright and sunny spot with a nice ambience made up of indoor plants, and outdoor green grass and the nearby vinyard. It's quiet but not dull, with delicious beer and cider on tap. Their brisket burger is a delight on first bite. 😋

    So much unavailable on the menu and and out of the 5 meals ordered only 1 was of any value. It was a salad. Of particular poor quality was the BBQ plate for 2. For $85 it was a complete rip off. The pulled pork was tasteless and chewy as was the brisket. The nicest thing on the plate was the chips. I’d be surprised if there was $10 worth of food on the plate. Lunch cost me nearly $200 but I would not have blinked an eye if it had been good quality, value and service. I think Murray,s have dropped the ball and relying on turnover of clients rather than relying on returning customers who will recommend Murray,s. I’ve been to Murray’s several times but I will not be returning and if anybody asks I will give the same review. This is not sour grapes just really disappointing for a business with a great setting.

    Very happy with the food ordering process and the food itself, but somewhat dismayed by the length of time we had to stand in the drinks queue. After our meal, we were keen to show our interstate guests through your outstanding larder, but were confronted by a large and quite rude crowd. I know you are not responsible for this, but it is disappointing to look back on what should have been a pleasant and relaxing arvo catch-up with friends and instead find ourselves feeling like we have just played the full 90 minutes against the All Blacks. Is there no way you can do something to control the number of bodies in your space, such that those with a booking can have a more comfortable and relaxing time of it…

    Dined at Murray’s on a beautiful winter’s day. We had the best jalapeño poppers ever, followed by the pulled pork burger and the brisket burger. Absolutely perfect burgers, will definitely be back.

    What a perfect afternoon .Picked up from our accommodation by friendly driver Amanda then the deck Pizza and beers.Also live music by talented artist with the crowd involved then taken back to Shoal Bay .What a great way to spend Sunday.Thank you Murray’s .

    Awesome day out. Nice lawn, plenty of room for kids to run around, enough shade cover, and of course the food and drinks are great value. It's an easy place for a group catch-up.

    Hi I'm not usually a Karen but I found the visit very confusing. I booked a table and I couldn't find a person to show me to it, or kick me off in attendance. You need a sign at the front door or something (I had to chase someone down to figure it out) Then to order there was no icecreams or pastrys left. So we orded some simple teas but it literally took 20min for the lady to make them 😑 I had two little ones... so standing around waiting for a few cups for 20mins wasn't ideal... perhaps you could implement as buzzer system so we could at least sit back down... or table waiting 💁🏽‍♀️ There was also heaps of people queuing up and the staff seemed quite unorganised and verry slow. (Even though they were very polite and trying their best)💞. Other than that the ambiance was great. (But I will mention we had to move to the grass hill as the music was wayy too loud to the point where we couldn't hear eachother speak 😆) we are young people by the way/ love loud music, but for a chilled sunday afternoon it was a little bit too much. Xx ok thanks for listening. We just really love this place and hope to see it possibly improve. It's come so far and it is super popular place, I guess you just have implement some structures that keep up with customer demand 👍👌🙌🏻 (which isn't a bad problem to have) xx Xx Big love Sar
