Our waiter Simone was a wonderful . Very personable. Calamari appetizer was average, the ravioli was fabulous. Love the ambiance.
Came in for my Mother’s birthday and boy let me tell you the staff at Nado made her feel special the Owner Sandro is a kind and friendly class act!!...he and his staff where very welcoming and the food and ambiance where amazing everything was delicious and the look of the restaurant is so cozy and inviting!!!...Nado is the spot to visit for special occasions or if you just want a really delicious meal!!
Excellent service and great food. The place is lovely.
Some of the best pasta I have ever tasted in my life! Great wine selection! Loved the Italian wine offerings.
I will definitely be back the next time I am in town!
What a fun time. The ambience was cute, staff was super friendly, and food was delicious. My sister had a great time and will be back when we are on the island.
Amazing Italian food ! Cacio & Pepe simply great , as it should be .
Well done chef . Many thanks to Simone that was in charge and made us feel very comfortable. Perfect night !
Excellent service, ambiance and superb food!
Food was totally bland except for the risotto. Overpriced for no flavor. Ambiance is pleasant, but food was disappointing.
Excellent. We consider ourselves experts of Italian food and this was excellent and authentic. Alex the server was sweet and made the experience even better.
Lovely outdoor setting with delicious food. The menu is limited.
Alex was a delight and the food was delicious!
Fabulous evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday; wine picked for us just perfect and our food, I am getting hungry just thinking of it. Will be back!
I think the owner served us. It was an awesome experience. We had a challenge when confusion started originally as we were supposed to be seated and two teams got seated before us. It all worked out.
The service was wonderful. The atmosphere charming. We got there early so it was quiet but by the time we left at around 8 o’clock it started getting noisy. But it was great!
Pasta was outstanding!!!
Amazing food!! Fresh and delicious!! Service is great! My husband and I both have difficulty finding restaurants that will accommodate our crazy food allergies. (Nuts, dairy, soy, corn)They accommodated to our needs with out sacrificing taste. Highly recommended! Also check out the gelato place next door same owner best in all San Diego!!
Was looking forward to trying since I live on island. New menu.
Service was decent for the inexperienced server but what a disappointment. If only this place had decent food, it would be a great little spot.
Ordered 1 appetizer (prosciutto and mozzarella). It was decent but served with 1 main dish (the chicken??!!??) Not a great experience.
3 mains (1 per person)
Rigatoni carbonara - The worst pasta ever. It was flat, over-cooked, stale (how do you mess up pasta???). Sauce was bland and tasteless and I had to send a search party for pancetta.
Breaded chicken - blah... but potato’s were decent.
Pizza - just ok. Salami was very good.
Water bottle left on table to serve yourself wasn’t chilled at all.
Wine was overpriced but decent and helped killed the stale pasta aftertaste.
Tiramisu was good.
They promised to take pasta of bill but never did, which was more of a lack of organization than malice but one last miss.
I never write reviews so that tells you how little value we got for this overpriced, poorly tasting meal.
The perfect hideaway restaurant in Coronado. Wonderful staff that compliments the at home atmosphere. Plenty of “outside “ dinning available. Unique wine selection to select from.
Wonderful food ! Amazing service !
Feels like your visiting family
Absolutely delicious! We split the homemade gnoochi as an appetizer and it was so good we are returning Saturday. Also amazing was the pizza with prosciutto cotto and gorgonzola.
Our new top restaurant in Coronado, maybe top in San Diego for quaint Italian. 1 block of the beaten path of Coronado’s Orange Ave., Nado Republic is special from the moment you are greeted. Outdoor and indoor dining, very eclectic design and wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. Menu is simple but robust. The waiter and chef recommendations make it that much easier. Food was incredible and service even better. We will be back and we will tell everyone we know to come have a great time at Nado Republic.
The best Italian restaurant in San Diego county. Great atmosphere and service. Food was simply amazing and our waiter was very kind a helpful. Their Nutella desert is a must have. Decent size portions.
Perfect balance of the flavours, good quantities.
Service very friendly.
Will come back soon !
Though there were fires nearby east of San Diego, the outdoor setting was nonetheless pleasant and away from the main drag of Coronado. Food was excellent!
Great dinner service and ambiance. Homemade gnocchi was amazing
Amazing pasta and wine!
Overall a good place to dine in Coronado. Due to Covid regulations, we had to sit outside in a rotunda and the lights were a little bright- wish they were on a dimmer. Our server was friendly and knew the menu well. We would go back the next time we visit Coronado.
Food good. Terrible service. Never came back to check on us. Plates never taken off the table just didnt seem to care
We had a great experience on 8/27. Our waitress was very kind & quick to get us anything we needed. The atmosphere was great even for being all outdoors next to a parking lot of a small shopping outlet. They really are doing a good job of trying to keep a nice vibe & we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! The food was perfect but portions were small (I’m sure this has to do with standard Italian portions being smaller) but none the less still very delicious! We highly recommend!
Food was good. Location was nice and they really made the most out of the outdoor seating. Waitstaff was polite as well. The one glaring issue they had is that it took much too long to bring out the food and it didn’t appear as though anyone on the staff appreciated how slow the service was compared to similar restaurants. Probably took at least 45 minutes between receiving our salad and our main dish (maybe even an hour). Judging from a few other reviews, this does not appear to be an isolated problem. We were not in a particular rush, but I would hesitate to go back when there are so many choices for good Italian Food in San Diego. Could easily be a 4.3 to 4.4 star restaurant if they were just able to get the dishes out in a timely manner.
Waited 1 hour to get our main course, bread took 35 mins from when we sat down. The manager said it takes 50 mins to make pasta so be prepared to wait a while. Food was excellent, but not worth the wait
Try the Lemoncello cake!
Perfect place to relax and order an appetizer along with a bottle of delicious Italian wine... take your time and then enjoy an amazing entree (but be sure to leave room for dessert). Service is impressive and servers and chefs are happy to help with menu selections and recommendations (chef/cook/server/manager order decisions are highly recommended).
Wonderful experience. Highly recommend. Amazing food and wonderful service. Definitely make a reservation. Walk-ins close to impossible.
Our party of six (celebrating a birthday) was greeted with amazing service and we were seated right away (we also had a 7:30 pm reservation), so for that part I would give 5 stars. The Problem arose after we placed our order (around 8 pm) with the waitress. The waitress was great but by 9:40 pm, we still hadn’t received our food. We didn’t understand why multiple guests that arrived after us received their food ahead of us. When asked to speak to the manager (who identified himself as the owner) he was rude when we inquired about our food. He stated, in a typical Italian restaurant, we would wait a long time for our food. This statement made no sense because there were ppl that received their food ahead of us. Instead of offering an apology or being a bit more gracious about our choice to choose his restaurant, he took the low road by insulting us with his statement. His behavior was unacceptable and I/we will never choose this restaurant again.
This is a quaint local neighborhood restaurant. Matt was our waiter and he was a very polite sweet young man. The food was delicious. We had a great experience and will definitely be back the next time we’re back in Coronado ❣️
Our service was great! We started with the Bruschetta, I then ordered the Butter Sage Tortellini and my boyfriend ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese. The bread was soft chewy but the tomato salad was ok. My tortellini was tasty but the bolognese was unfortunately flavorless. The wine recommend by the waiter was also very pleasant. With the abundant choices of Italian fare around this city, sadly I would suggest exploring elsewhere.
What a lovely restaurant in Coronado. We ate here on our first night and were not disappointed. The filet with gorgonzola was out of this world. The wine was great. The service was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
