At the Nag’s Head we are passionate about food and the excellent quality produce that is available locally. The majority of our food is freshly prepared and cooked from ‘farm to fork’ by our Head Chef Andy Millard and his enthusiastic kitchen team. Our menu is varied and seasonal, appealing to all tastes and includes Chef Specials, favourite traditional “pub classics” and Sunday roasts. We cater for different palettes and today’s changing tastes including children, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. As our dishes are prepared and cooked in house, we can usually accommodate most dietary needs.We pride ourselves on serving locally produced real ales. Our ales come from the excellent local microbreweries and are of a very high quality. We offer a range of good quality wines and spirits to compliment our menu.

    Wonderful, character pub, with excellent standards of service. Loved the atmosphere - enriched by devoted local clientele. Exceptional choice of seating, from high quality river-side setting for those with dogs to lovely welcoming interior with bags of character. As a fussy eater i was so impressed that all food cooked from scratch so my requirements were fully met. Wish we lived nearby! But we look forward to returning as we love coming back to this area for short breaks.

    Nice pub with attentive staff. Too much rich sauce for my taste on main courses

    New Menu very exciting , Had the chicken Nachos , super! and Special board Gnocchi ,very tasty and filing ! beautiful new Cheesecake , vanilla , Perfect . Great well kept beers , and a Fab Chardonnay ! Ultra friendly and efficient service , cant fault the whole . Many thanks again !

    Oh Howard what a hopeless review with poor grammar. This is the only negative online feedback (nothing said at the time!) we received from 250 generally delighted customers on Sunday. We are very pleased to say that the Easter weekend was extremely busy and one that we all need for sure in the hospitality sector. We had plenty of staff working hence the mark of 4 for service. Clearly though the cost of your meal was out of your budget hence the 2 for value? Finally, your food will get cold if you are not at your table when it's delivered. Having checked CCTV, we noticed that you got up four times during the 1hr dining period for some reason. Your delicious roast, sat there for at least 2 mins before you started eating, you then stopped to take photos! - finally nothing said to our team?!
