Nakato 'Hibachi' Japanese Restaurant
This place is great. The experience is awesome.
Service was excellent. We love hibachi and the food was ok.
Great food, service and environment
Another great experience at Nakato’s. Took my daughter there for her birthday. The food was great as usual. Robert (our chef) put on a great show. It was packed (so a bit noisy) but that helped to add to the fun. Highly recommend.
Great food and experience. Will visit again.
This was my first experience here and it was a date night for a party of 3. For the price level, I was very disappointed that making a reservation much earlier in the week did little to nothing the night of. I arrived at 5:40 for a 6pm dinner reservation. We weren't seated to eat until approx 6:45pm at the hibachi. The host staff seemed disorganized as several people complained. With another 30 mins passing before the chef actually came in and started cooking. The chef was pleasant and the food was excellent which made the night pick up. After dining, the onsite valet service actually lost my keys so my guests and I waited outside in the cold for an extended amount of time. I'd grab the food to go in a heartbeat, but will explore other dining options based on this experience.
The hibachi area is small and with 8 grills going simultaneously it got hot and stinky. Food was under seasoned and our chef was not remotely interested and did not perform at all. Servers were attentive. But overall I wasn’t terribly impressed and would not return especially.
If you reserve a table don’t expect to sit alone they fill every seat in they don’t even allow you to move down or pick your seat. Appetizers we really soggy but the food was great atleast the chicken was . Great place just need to fix seating
Great experience, food was tasty and we will be back!
The food was a little bland compared to competitors, I brought my spouse here to try and convert her as a Diner and the food was not what was expected.
Great service, handled birthday so well and cook was fantastic.
Great as always! Friendly staff and delicious food.
ABsolute top nothc service and they have an environment about caring for their customers in order to earn repeat business. Whenever my daughter asks to go to "the place where they cook in front of you," this is where we'll go again and again.
Great food and chef
Great food, great atmosphere. Hibachi chef was super entertaining, servers were very attentive
It was great!
The hibachi was lacking in flavor. The cook did a great job in terms of entertainment but, better hibachi can be had for a fraction of the price elsewhere. However, I highly recommend their sushi! It is a delicious and a great value. The drinks were nice also, I had a Godzilla.
We had a wonderful experience. Yummy food and great service. We'll be back :)
Hubby and I have been dining here for years and now we like to take the grandchildren when they are in Atlanta. We both love the shrimp and filet mignon combo and it was to die for - delicious! Full bar, great, attentive service. We will be back, highly recommend!
Very average food, they charge $5 or $6 to get fried rice (what a joke) restaurant is dirty. Descent service.
Loved the food and the place especially the photo booth 🥰😍
It was my son’s 13th birthday and we had an amazing time! The Chef was very good and funny. We didn’t have to wait at all to be seated. Reservations was for 7:30 we arrived at 7:15 and was seated at the private area where you remove your shoes. He genuinely had a great time with his brother and sister.
I have been going to Nakato for years but tonight I was disappointed. The hostess was rude and not accommodating. The food, the chef, and our waiter were phenomenal. Just wish the hostess didnt taint the experience.
Good food, very salty so be prepared. Also, every table has a birthday or some kind of celebration so if you know this ahead of time, you’re good! Not for quiet conversation, lots of kids!
We always love going to Nakato. Great expereince anytime we go.
Service was great and food was good. We had a good time and I will definitely be back soon.
This is always our "go to" when in Atlanta. Drove down from Dahlonega, just to go here.
Food and corresponding show are always great! We like to bring our out-of-town guests to Nakato and we also celebrate special occasions here.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a semblance of a decent dining experience. The price point was far higher than the quality of the food, entertainment, service and/or venue. There was so much noise that my dinner guest and I had to lean in to hear each other throughout the entire event. Not to mention, we were grouped in a large room with at least 10 other dinner parties (some of these parties exceeding 5 guests per party). There was not an option for a more intimate/private experience. May have been easier had the prices not been set as though the dinner experience was smaller. Also, I recommend grabbing takeout. The experience will be the same and the food quality will be about the same IF NOT better. Sorry Nakato, it was awful.
We celebrated my twins 21st birthday which is New Years Eve. Food was great and atmosphere—even when the room filled up with LOTS of little children!!
We shared my mother 54th birthday dinner and we love everything about this place. It’s amazing, you get more than enough of food here, and the people are so nice and accommodating! They place my mom cake in the lounge area after dinner for us to enjoy while we sat , they dance and sang for her and lit their own candles because I forgot ours! I love this place And we Will revisit soon.
Heads up make reservations because this place fill up quick.
Great time for my family of 7.
It was a wonderful dinner for Christmas.
Cool place for a meal and entertainment. Fast service and good food
Solid Japanese steakhouse experience! Service really good and our chef was adorable
They did not throw the food to us for an attempt to catch it in our mouths.
Good food, great dumplings. Service little slow , then rushed. Needs balance. Appetizers came out late and then grill started rolling out food too soon. Overall enjoyable due to good food.
Annual Christmas dinner with mom, sister & nieces
There were A LOT of birthdays—and associated drumming and singing—on the Monday night we went, so definitely be down for some celebratory noisemaking if you plan to dine here. (It was totally fine for our crowd.) We brought our friends two young boys and they LOVED it, ate some of everything, and behaved swimmingly with help of some pre-hibachi-show coloring handouts from the staff. I particularly enjoyed the salmon and that addictively good, and aptly named, yum-yum sauce.
