   Nicholson’s is great. I eat dinner there before every show I see at the Aronoff and I love that they have the specialized menus for each show. The food, the staffe, and the atmosphere are great. Highly recommend.

   Took us about 15 min to get our drinks. However, when they arrived they were the wrong ones and it took another 10 min to get the drinks. It was happy hour but the final bill did not reflect the price change. Need to have more bar help.

   We have always enjoyed Nicholson’s menu, and service has always been wonderful. Last night was an exception. We realize that this was a Broadway in Cincinnati show night, but our server was either overbooked on tables, new, or just not very attentive. We had to ask for several items twice, and when we told her we needed 45 seconds for one of our guests to decide on her menu item, we waited 15-20 minutes for the server to return…we actually had to ask another server to get her. Food was delicious, as always, but if this server was new, she needs more training.

   Although the cocktails menu looked great, the reality of them wasn’t. I would suggest sticking to the beer list. Otherwise, the food was pretty good, the service was spot on, and the ambience had a really cool vibe.

   This is a get place prior to going to the theater. Great special meal and drinks special to fit the current play of Moulin Rouge. They will work to get you out on time for the show.

    This is a great place to eat any time you ate downtown, but especially after the Aronoff plays. The food and service are excellent, and the ambience is wonderful, inviting , and relaxing.

    My son and I became instant fans of Nicholsons from the moment we walked in! Who wouldn’t love seeing people dine in throne-like chairs! Our waiter was attentive and pleasant. The food was AMAZING! I felt the price for what we got was super, super reasonable. For an iced tea, appetizer, two meals, and 2 desserts, our bill was only $65! Will 100% be back!!

    The location was great however getting our drinks or even water took far too long. At one point we finally just asked someone who Wasn’t our server for water. While we got our appetizer right away we had to wait a bit for the rest of our food and all we got was salads and we had to wait without drinks as while we could see them sitting at the bar they didn’t make it to our table until after the rest of the food finally came. My husband ordered a glass of Pinot. He got a glass of cab. I ordered goat cheese on my salad but it came with feta. He ordered the house salad but it came out as the arugula salad. It was just disappointing. And while our server was very pleasant he just wasn’t attentive or present.

    The building is fantastic-they have such an opportunity here. Food was mildly warm, neither one of us ate more than a third. Even the bread board sucked-how does that happen? Our waitress went AWOL. Won't go back

    Even though I made a reservation for a booth by the bar, the hostess seated us somewhere else. I told her we always sir there and she said it was reserved. I said I had reserved it. She said she would check and never came back.

    We have been dining at Nicholson’s before our Aronoff show for many years. Our experience on Tues night was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time! It took over 15 min to get our initial drink order, and they were made wrong. Our appetizers came out on a timely manner. Our second round of drinks, 2 being just Diet Cokes took over 30 minutes. They showed up after someone from our party went to the bar and asked about them. Our food took almost and hour and it was cold. We asked the server for a check, she brought it and never came back. A member of our party took it to the bar to pay. We hardly ever saw her. The whole experience was extremely disappointing, especially since we spend almost $300 every time we come. The next show season we might need to explore other dining options.

    We went for dinner before a play at the Aranoff. The weather was beautiful so they had the doors open. The waitstaff was pleasant, efficient, and did a good job. My wife and I enjoyed our meal and drinks.

    Location is everything-Very convenient for events at the Arnoff Center. Special themed menu for the play we were seeing. Service is very slow. Food is mediocre and a little expensive for pub fare.

    Fries that came with burger were room temperature. Drink order was first taken 15 minutes after being seated. At 25 minutes after seating I was told drink selection I ordered from menu wasn’t available. Alternate drink arrived 30 minutes after seating.

    It was a busy Saturday night with many patrons appearing to go to the Aronoff for Moulin Rouge across the street. We had seats for the 8:00 show so we made reservations for 5:30 to have plenty of time to eat and enjoy the evening. We were seated promptly and service was very good. Server was pleasant and fairly attentive. Food arrived quickly and tasted delightful. My daughter had the Caesar Salad, I had the Caledonia Chicken Sandwich with the squash medley, and my husband had the Bourbon Burger with fries. We shared the Beer Cheese Appetizer. We were all very satisfied with our choices. We were not rushed and were able to enjoy the meal and easily be at the Aronoff at 7:00 p.m. when doors opened. I highly recommend making reservations since they do get very busy, especially near show times. The 5:30 time slot worked great for us for the 8:00 show.

    We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. While our waitress was attentive, the kitchen and bar were extremely behind. We had a reservation at 12:30, ordered food by 12:40, and didn’t receive our food until 1:30.

    I really love this place. Food is good. Drinks are good. Right across the street from Aronoff so great for pre-show meal. I love the speciality cocktails that tie into the Aronoff show. I do miss the pot de creme, it is a little noisy, and drink special recipe seems to vary (I ordered 3 of the same this last visit and each one was very different, though all tasty). Stull a strong recommend from me and we will be back next show.

    In an area with many dining choices, Nicholson's Fine Food & Whisk(e)y stands out as being unique, in terms of its decor, its menu, and its attitude. All in all, it's a lot of fun, sufficient variety in the food choices, and an overall very good value. We enjoyed it very much and look forward to returning on our next visit to the area. Hint: We were there mid-week, late morning, and the kitchen seemed a bit slow (I suspect it was a staffing issue). However, that didn't deter or discourage us from having a great time!
