Second time we’ve tried Nick’s and had the same waiter both times. The food is really nice, good cocktails and wonderful atmosphere but it is all fully overshadowed by how poor the service is. We had to shout to our server to come check on us multiple times when he was walking by (not busy just walking or hanging out at bar) and we were better taken care of by those bussing the table or other servers. If service continues to be sub par, it’s not worth paying the prices and dealing with less than convenient parking, and we will not recommended or bring friends. Please consider as it could be a really solid Westside spot.
The food and service were very good. I'll be going back for sure.
Took 10 mins to get seated.
Service at our table was good and timely.
Food however was very disappointing. We ordered the scallop tacos, lamb and seabass. In general, food was under seasoned and nothing to really write home about. The flavor profile was very muted.
Went to Nick’s for a date and was excited because of the reviews and the menu options. The venue looks terrific and has a great ambiance. We got cocktails and appetizers that were all incredible. I want to give this place 5 stars but they need to hire some additional staff. Maybe we just caught them on an off night but it and about an hour and a half to get through our meal and a lot of that was spent waiting.
The food was incredible, the place has a great vibe, just time to ramp up the staff and I think it’s a special place. I’ll be coming back.
Restaurant was whoa-fully understaffed which we believe contributed to our very poor service. One meal was also forgotten. We waited almost two hours between ordering our food and receiving it. Food was excellent once received. It was odd that the restaurant was “out of” ketchup (when they served burgers on the menu) and Diet Coke.
Awful experience. Understaffed. Took 1 hour to get starters. Another hour for entrees. Server forgot drink orders several times. Brought us the wrong drinks once. Food was cold. Unapologetic staff. Had had a better experience a month ago, but doubt we will rerun after this debacle.
Nicks was great! The food and service was awesome.
Reservations at desired time. Attentive service. Delightful cocktails, wine and bourbon. Excellent recommendations from menu and preparation. Enjoyed Chef Nick chatting with us. Outstanding experience.
The food and cocktails were fabulous! We enjoyed the variety of choices and splitting many delicious small plates.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Nick and his team create a rotating seasonal menu of creative dishes, and we always enjoy their specialty dinners. We have already signed up for the next one, a five course meal with inspiration from French cuisine with wine pairings. Matthew, the beverage director, can create personalized cocktails on the spot and their drinks menu is on point. I encourage you to give this restaurant a try.
I was served spoiled chicken that had a decaying/acidic taste. Threw it away and won’t be coming back
Great location, great vibe inside, great staff, PHENOMINAL FOOD! Great spot with awesome food/scene without being pretentious. Our group ran gambit in apparel from jeans/polo to 3 piece, all were laughing, having a great time, feeling comfortable.
Food was really spectacular and a very pleasant surprise given the price point on menu... group did a lot of sharing and small plates and everything was spot on with great flavor combos. Loved it all, but LOVED LOVED THE CHICKEN... and donuts too.
Staff was really great, our waitress was awesome and super helpful. Her recommendations were some of our favorite and all were delicious. Got a chance to meet the chef as he came on thru, super cool guy. Really gracious and humble, especially given the wicked mad chops he has!
Great spot, really fun find!
What a gem! The food was amazing and both the patio area as well as interior were so inviting. Add to it an extremely attentive and friendly staff and you have us coming back whenever we are in town!!!! Highly recommend. Even valet parking at the garage is easy and safe! Kudos!
I was excited to try Nick's. Loved the setting, decor, ambience. They have a hopscotch board on the covered patio where we sat, which my kids loved! My cocktail (Tequila Daisy) was quite tasty and in the cutest vintage glass. Unfortunately the food was just OK. We ordered the fried chicken for the kids, and the batter was tasteless. We did tell the staff (because they asked if we liked it), and they were nice enough to remove that charge from our bill without us asking them to. My b/f and I both got different burgers, which we both enjoyed. We had gotten the chips and dip for an app, and the dip was so good I kept it to dip my fries in. I would return to Nick's for a date night but probably not with my kids as there wasn't enough variety on the menu for them to choose.
What a wonderful, warm and welcoming setting. Great food and friendly staff.
Delicious, inventive food and an engaging server.
Always exceptional service and food- All their vegetarian dishes are amazing, they also custom made pasta and two other dishes to be vegetarian. The cocktails are fantastic, especially “but nothing is lost”. Great for groups, business meals, date or casual dining. I’ve been here 4+ times now with my guests and I’ve never been disappointed, the quality is consistent. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The portions are great and quality of food is great. Highly recommended and kudos to the chef!
Online reviews are misleading. The drinks were very watery :(. We did enjoy the Tuna tacos, but the crab cake salad was very bland. The ambiance of this place is also so so. We would not recommend this place.
Nice, quiet ambiance. The menu was limited because it was Valentine’s Day and the options weren’t posted beforehand so I was pretty caught off guard. Very clean restaurant and service was nice. Had a good time.
We ordered eggs bemedict, and it was the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The service was quick and courteous.
Mixed bag. I had the eggs royal. Tasty but very salty and one egg was over cooked. My partner had the French toasty go good reviews. Service was tragic. It took 10 minutes to get out drink order. We ordered soda so the food coming out before sodas speaks for itself. Pour server’s people skills were lacking. Cute place. Very hipster in finishes and patterns. After an exchange with management, it definitely falls into the no list.

This restaurant is a complete GEM! We wanted somewhere nice to have our Valentine's day brunch and I am so so happy that we chose Nick's. From the very beginning, the look, feel and just general vibe of this place is cosy yet a little fancy (If that makes any sense). The service was great, our server, although I don't remember her name, was very sweet and attentive. but the FOOD! So delicious! I had the Crab Benedict, hubby got the Croque Madame and we also shared the apple French toast. Just wow! We each had a cocktail; I had the French 75 and hubby had the Bold Fashioned ( I think that's what it was called). I DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice romantic date, hang out with friends or family.
We arrived at five til 8 for our 8 pm reservation to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We were seated immediately. It’s lovely inside. Tables weren’t spaced out as much as I had expected or hoped. Pretty much standard spacing. We sat for 14 minutes before anyone even came over to say hello, so we didn’t have water or chance to order wine. When we finally did get a server, he was lovely but it was all just slow. Wine was ok - small selection by the glass - and our goat cheese fritter appetizer was excellent. The service remained slow all night - our waters were empty and our wine was as well - we would have ordered another glass each ($30 more for the bill) and yet never had a chance. Dinner was meh. I ordered the sunchoke and truffle risotto and it was very average. Plain, risotto was not cooked well, not much flavor - and clearly not enough oomph to be a main dish. Luckily we ordered the Brussels sprouts for a side - so sadly that’s pretty much what I ate. They were out of the pork ragi black garlic fetucinni, so my husband had to order swordfish. His was delicious. The dessert menu was just ok, so we paid and left. The service was soooo slow the entire time, and he never seemed to realize or acknowledge it at all. For $110 plus tip, it was a very average dinner. We won’t go back.
I really wanted to like this restaurant as I had heard good things but it took nearly an hour to get our main dishes. My wife's fish came out raw and the manager was happy to return it and bring her another. Unfortunately, the second piece came out raw as well. It was a busy night and the manager was kind, but it was just an off night.
Slow bar service, slow water service, slow clearing service... and who runs out of ketchup? Swordfish main course is the size of an appetizer, however fried chicken is enough for two people. Trying too hard to be like JCT Kitchen. It has the makings to be a beautiful restaurant, but far to come to make up for the lack of service.
The food was excellent I’ve been here several times and will continue to come back. I was disappointed that there was not the chef’s special and wine pairing that the chef sometimes prepares but I will be back to enjoy it on another night
We went on Saturday 2/13 early (6:30 pm) and sat in the high tops for the supposed-to-be-delicious bouillabaisse we read about in Atlanta magazine. The waiter told us it was not available because of the holiday? (he wasn't sure) but if that's the case that's nuts. That's why we went - to spend our holiday dinner at a nice place. It wasn't even busy and if that's your specialty then it should especially be available on a special night. So we ordered the root vegetable pot pie which was terrible - the roots included turnips which were bitter and the broth was uninspired. I could only eat the crust and about 5% of it but the water never asked if anything was wrong. That's because he barely stopped by. My husband's brisket sandwich was weird too - he didn't like the texture or flavor. The waiter was mostly unfriendly - explained nothing, checked on us once early after the dish was brought but never came back again for 30 minutes and made us wait 10 minutes for the check long after it was clear we were done. We'll never be back.
First time visiting Nick's Westside and had an overall good experience. I'm unsure if this restaurant is new (I had never heard of it) but the service wasn't great- it was a little slow and they were understaffed, as if it had just opened. Still, the ambiance was wonderful and very pretty. The food came out quickly and did not disappoint. I will certainly return next time.
The menu is great. Lots of selection. The appetizers and entrées were good, but the desserts, and we had three out of the four options, we’re all subpar.
One of the best burgers And flatbreads I have ever heard. Everything we ordered was perfect from start to finish.
The food was flavorful, they definitely have an amazing cook!
The ringing of the bell by the chef was extremely annoying
Valentines brunch was amazing, we reserved the private room so our kids could be mask free, while we were worry free. Brunch was GREAT, the staff was accommodating & delightful. Can’t wait to go back!
Food was very very good. Atmosphere not great. Too bright. A bit unattentve in the service
Food was great. Heated outdoor patio was not heated- their propane flames are enclosed so they look good but don’t generate any heat.
The space was very pretty. The food was pretty bad. Worse biscuits I’ve ever had and the Kale Ceasar was inedible. Horrible value.
Great, quiet spot. Great bartenders are always up to the challenge of crafting one-off creations.
Nick's Westside was great! We sat outside on the patio. They had the heaters going and even brought us a new propane tank. I will miss AIX but Nick's Westside was perfect setting for a fun and causal dinner. Fantastic drink menu!
They completely changed the menu to accommodate Covid take out. The food was not as good as we remembered. The Sevice was friendly but they seemed way too busy. The food took forever and came out in weird order. My salad came at the end of the meal. Won’t go back. Such a bummer
Good restaurant, food was ok. Nothing special. I feel like all restaurants are the same at the moment. Meats and cheeses, brussel sprouts, a burger with bacon jam .. that’s the menu of 75% of restaurants right now. I’ve become bored of paying $150 for a meal and being offered the same food everywhere.
