Ninfa's on Navigation
Superb food and service.
Seated us on time, but table for 5 was very cramped. Food was good as always,
This place was in every guide I read about Houston that’s why our expectations very pretty high. But we were totally disappointed with our dinner. 1st of all the place smelled bad and we had to seat outside, cutlery were dirty with dried pieces of the food. The “legendary” fajita was more about onions than meat. I had much better fajitas in different restaurants before.
Cucumber margarita was awful, too sweet, not natural taste at all. We had to send it back, but the next drink (the Navigation margarita) wasn’t much better. We had just only 1 night in Houston and I’m really upset we chose Ninfa’s on Navigation for it...
Our waiter was especially helpful recommending choices for our group.
In town for a conference and asked around about the best Tex-Mex and the overwhelming response was The Original Ninfa’s. Food was GREAT. Place was packed and very loud, but well worth the amazing meal. We sooooo over bought and the portion sizes were as huge as they were delicious! Definitely a must eat In Houston.
This is our favorite restaurant , love everything and host many out of towners that fall in love with the place and Katie , our favorite waitress and friend
Very noisy. Had crying toddler on one side of us and a group of loud drunk people on the other side. Not pleasant.
We have been there when it was better. My wife and I were seated between a family with a screaming toddler and a table of obnoxious drunks. I will think twice before booking a reservation there again.
Ceviche was awesome!
We always get a couple appetizers and large fajitas when my Son and his wife visit. They love the original Ninfa’s
It was yummy as always
Love love this place. Great food, cold beer, and a wonderful salsa that is spicier than the stuff they serve with chips. You have to order it.
The food atmosphere and staff are top notch! Our small party of four were celebrating two birthdays. The margaritas were excellent, as was the food. Our waiter and assistants were great at anticipating our next request and were quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family and others!
ALWAYS great food and service!!!
Enjoyable experience. The noise level was annoying as it made It difficult to chat at our own table. Also our table was directly in a walkway so there was a lot of foot traffic. Food was great overall. For the price of the margaritas they could be a little bigger with less ice.
Spectacular Food & Service, just Over-the-Top experience
This is the best mexican restaurant in Houston!! Margaritas are top notch and not just frozen machine margaritas. Lots of margarita options and actually have flavor. The queso is the best in town, super cheesy with the right amount of spice. The new smoky style fajitas are excellent and I love the fajita burger, a must try. Great service and not super loud like El Tiempo is. Highly recommend.
Always a great place to eat and catch up with friends!
This place is always wonderful! great food, great atmosphere we love it
fajita was wonderful, staffs were very kind and friendly, interrior was pretty and unique, and the price was reasonable!
i highly reccomend this place for those of whom searching for best restaurant of texmex.
First time dining here on recommendation from friends. A great informal Tex-Mex experience, and we will return. Thumbs up!
Delicious as usual. Love the Queso Flameado
Very noisy and Smokey due to getting table right by kitchen and door despite making reservation in advance
We dined at 7:30 on the last night of the series. The house was packed but we had a reservation and were seated promptly. Chips & salsa appeared immediately then a waiter for drinks. A small lull and appetizers and drinks arrived followed closely by the entrees. I had pulpo tacos which were nicely done. My companion had chicken fajitas which were very generous in size. Meals were served hot. Drinks were average. It was loud due to the number of diners but we were able to converse. We come again when visiting Houston.
The beef tacos al carbon were incredible. Love the green salsa also. Chicken enchiladas, guacamole s in Austin.
We came to celebrate my sisters 28th birthday here and she really enjoyed it.
I had the tamales with black beans, I tried the torta, and the enchiladas suizas. Everything was DELICIOUS.
The torta was a hybrid between a Vietnamese bahn mi and a Mexican torta and I was not expecting that. It was a very pleasant and delicious taste.
We will definitely be coming back for more!
It was a local favorite! The fajitas were delicious! We will go back again!!
Brought a coworker here for his birthday, along with two of our colleagues for lunch. One had never been to Ninfa's and loved hearing the history. We had a great time, great food, great atmosphere.
Great food as always. Was very crowded before game 1 of World Series but staff and kitchen was very efficient in service.
Fantastic food, fantastic service! We love it here.
Great Mexican food, easy to stadium
This was a disappointing dining experience And makes me wonder if Ninfa’s has gone downhill. I ordered the chicken adobo salad, minus the cheese, and dressing on the side. There was dressing on half the salad, specks of cheese randomly throughout, no avocado, one grape and two pecans. Husband’s mole salmon was good. Chips were cold. Service was mediocre, and the waitress didn’t really check in on us. The restaurant was freezing, though we were sitting right by the vent. For the price of our meals, I wouldn’t go back.
Always fun to return to the Original Ninfa's on Navigation. The Tejas combination is good with a taste of all the classics!
We went for Sunday brunch. I had the chef’s choice Migas. It was very good we also had chicken flutes which were good, but not exceptional. We also had a grilled chicken taco, although it was the size of a burrito. It was outstanding with a deep smoked flavor!
It was my first time having brunch here and I won’t hesitate to come again. The reservation likely wasn’t need for 10 am, but by the time we were leaving the place was filling up with larger parties (8-12 adults each).
Best fajitas anywhere! Steak meat always seasoned perfectly. Chicken so juicy! Highly recommend!!
If you do not mind spending WAY TOO MUCH for Mexican Food.... Go there.
We had a reservation and were not seated for 20 minutes. We were 4 minutes late because the street was shut down for a race the following day and we had to walk.
