No. 12 Restaurant

Very good food and service and considering in Covid ambience was ok

Have visited many times however this is the first time for Sunday lunch, had the Cote De Boeuf for two,

An impressive tray of food arrived at the table, and it was very well cooked with all the trimmings... however being a non eater of vegetables I was very upset to see only 4 potatoes were served with this meal, and that was not really very impressive and I had to ask for more...

only to find out when the bill arrived I was charged £4.00 for 4 more potatoes.... I was quite shocked this is a £45.00 meal for two and 2 potatoes each ? Really ???

I cannot see how any restaurant serving a roast would serve 2 potatoes for one plate ?

Aside that it was lovely and I would reccomend as all their food is really good quality... especially the jus served with the beef which is absolutely stunning,

Had the beef bourguignon which was amazing, tasted delightful and beautifully presented.

Cannot wait to go on Sunday for the cote de boeuf :)

Great food lovely staff just not enough time due to lockdown

First visit to this restaurant and the service and food was fantastic, really lovely meal. My only slight negative would be there is no atmosphere, no background music or no real ambience. Not sure if this is because of covid, hopefully it will improve.

Fantastic as ever. Exception food that’s well priced, delicious cocktails and warm and friendly staff.

Excellent shared roast chicken platter! Tasty and delicious chicken and veg, and the cauliflower cheese was fab too. Huge, enough for 3!
And the toast with truffle butter is something else!
Overall an experience to be repeated regularly. Can totally recommend a visit.

I really liked this restaurant it’s the second time I’ve been and I’ve just booked to go again! Food it delicious, so far I’ve tried to salmon and sea bass, both lovely but the sea bass is particularly delicious as are the deserts. I didn’t have a starter but my husband did, scotch egg, which was lovely. Lovely location too, really easy to park right outside. Great service, friendly staff, 5 stars.

Beautiful food, fantastic staff, attractive establishment, highly recommended

I was really impressed with everything at No.12 from the greeting as the door as we arrived to the attentive service. The food was delicious, we ordered all the starters (and wish we’d doubled after). The duck rolls and scotch egg stood out for me. There was 6 of us dining and everyone was impressed with their meals. My sea bass was cooked so well that I even fancied the skin! I also pinched some of my partner’s lamb off of his plate, which was also really flavoursome and tender.
The staff were really friendly and made us feel comfortable too, especially with Covid still hovering. The atmosphere also had a good vibe, perfect for a Saturday night. I would definitely recommend No.12 and will be back myself!

Sunday lunch disappointing. Beef chewy. Has better there before.

Excellent food & venue, good to see a busy restaurant these days.

This is mine and my husbands favourite place to eat. Great location, very friendly staff, great service and amazing food.

Steak was over cooked unfortunately but otherwise very good

Service was good and reasonable time in between courses.

Food was delightful, would highly recommend the Duck scotch egg.

well organised for Covid service! food was excellent but sadly they were out of stock of NZ sauvignon we preferred. settled for Gavi which was fine.

Service was a little slow for drinks and one the deserts came out with no ice cream and after asking twice it finally arrived.

Food always very good and this table was booked on my recomendation as i have been many times

Lovely food and good service, everything was great. Plenty of space between tables and social distancing guidelines observed. Really nice place would definitely go back.

I regret to write this review as i had been a big fan of number 12, unfortunately we shared a beef sharing platter which was £45.00 the meat was very fatty and the potatoes were dry as if they had been around a while. Apart from that it was a lovely experience but i will not be returning due to the meat quality, don't know if we just got a bad batch? Yorkshires and flavour of the rest of the meal was stunning.

Well organised for Covid regulations. Welcoming. Fairly ordinary menu but enough choice for all. Convenient parking

Nice restaurant and a wait food (driven by eat out to help out) was managed very well by the team. Food was delicious but the surrounding was not as great as the main restaurant. I think that the additional dining area has been created to accommodate additional diners through the ongoing promotion. Main restaurant area is a nice setting. Would definitely revisit.
