Food was a 10/10! It says on the website that there is a dress code but they don’t take it that serious at this location. There were kids here also who couldn’t sit down for some reason. The waitress was great. Very attentive and others would bring our food and describe what was in front of us in detail which I thought was great! Overall greatest place I ever ate honestly.

The service was very poor. Understaffed and our server was extremely inattentive, and. rushed. We had to ask many times to have plates and glasses cleared and were not even asked if we enjoyed our food. The food itself was very good however due to the price point we would not return as the bad service outweighed the food.

We have been to Nobu at: New York, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Budapest, Barcelona, Mexico City, Los Cabos and more. We went to Nobu at the Galleria in Houston for dinner on Monday 21st of august at 7:30. When we arrived, we saw that there were plenty of seating’s available, we asked for a table, and they gave us one with only two seatings. We asked for a bigger table with four seating’s because my father didn’t feel comfortable in that seating, and they told us that they didn’t have any space left. So, we left the restaurant at 7:40, and we checked on Open Table if they had any open reservations and by our surprise it said it had 7 tables available and we reserved on for a party of four at 7:45. We entered the restaurant we met again with the hostess Gabriela Arsiaga and told her we had made a reservation for four people, she proceed to her manager and when he arrived they gave their backs to us and started talking, we didn’t had an answer for our table until my dad asked them if they did had any table available. They told us that they were arraigning our settings and then proceeded to seating us. We had our dinner, we ordered plenty of stuff and paid the bill. The Manager is Called Ryan Nielsen. After we went to speak with the manager and I asked him “Why if you had seven tables available you didn’t gave us one” and he told me that he wasn’t aware because he had “more important things to do” I told him that us, his clients are the most important things to do, the same with the hostess, how come her job is to seat people and she either wasn’t aware that she had plenty of seats available. We are extremely disappointed, we are accustomed to go to these types of restaurants and if we expect to pay a higher price we are expected to receive an excellent service, in which today Nobu has disappointed us.

Top notch service and quality. Server was very knowledgeable about the menu and adequate some great recommendations. Very attentive and professional. Food was exceptional. Expensive but worth every delicious bite.

The host/hostess were not available to receive and sit us in when we arrived. I thought that was not acceptable considering that we had a reservation for 2. I’m not sure if they were short-staffed. The service is average for our expectations of a “pricey” or “claimed to be upscale” restaurant. The foods were good, tasty, and we were satisfied including their presentations. However with the exception: The flavor of the wagyu, which was the final hot entry of the Omakase 6-meal course, did not “stand out” because it has more sauce and dressings in it. Just my opinion. Our overall experience was fine and I can still recommend this restaurant!

I went to this restaurant to see what it's like. They seated us right away since I had a reservation. The waiter explained the menu and drinks. We ordered three appetizers and waited for over 45 minutes for just one to arrive. We thought the others were still being made. When the waiter came back with drinks, we asked about the missing appetizers. He said we never ordered any, but we clearly did. Finally, the appetizers came out along with the Chilean Sea Bass, which took another 45 minutes. It took so long that I almost asked for the bill. When the food came, it was terrible. Adding to the disappointment, the waiter had an unpleasant odor. I won't go back or recommend this place. I spent $200 and the portions were tiny. After leaving, I actually went to Whataburger to fill up. Total ripoff. That's all for my rant.

This experience was nothing short of a disappointment. My wife and I had never dined at Nobu and were very much looking forward to the experience. We had reservations and were seated promptly. The table we were at was right beneath a speaker that was blaring music. We asked to move and they accommodated us quickly. So far, so good. After placing our drink order, we waited 30 minutes to receive them. We were told the bar was backed up. We ordered several cold items and several hot items. The cold items were the New Style Salmon Sashimi and the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna. Both of these dishes were excellent. The food came at a decent pace from this point. Next we received the Black Cod with Miso, the Shrimp and Lobster with Spicy Lemon Dressing and the Smoked Wagyu Dumplings. The Black Cod with Miso was good, but nothing exceptional. The Shrimp and Lobster were overcooked and the smoked wagyu dumplings had a decent flavor but the dumpling wrapper had holes in it and was falling apart. They had a greasiness to them...if that is a word. Lastly, we finished with some salmon, tamago and king crab nigiri...all average at best. The king crab was water logged. For $15 a piece, it should be better. Throughout the evening dishes and drink glasses were stacking up on the corner of our table because no one was picking them up. Our water glasses were empty for the majority of the dinner service. In addition, it was uncomfortably hot in the restaurant. (I recognize it is summer in Houston, but other establishments with similar prices have cooler environments.) I will say our server worked hard, but she was in the weeds all night. The restaurant just seemed severely understaffed. Overall, when you spend this kind of money, you have expectations. Nobu met none of ours. We will not be returning. It was a terrible experience.

The food is amazing! However, the service was very sub-par. This restaurant is not cheap. You wouldn’t hope that the service would match that price tag. We had empty glasses and plates on the table all evening, our waitress came by very sporadically, the ticket was incorrect and the bar service was slow. The lighting is so dim that we had to use our phone flashlights to see the menu. I appreciate ambiance, but good grief. Again, the food was really fantastic, but because of the poor service, we would not consider returning.

We had a great server, she tried her very best to articulate the menu and today’s special, including Nobu’s Omakase offering. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough… 3 ppl, $ 1,300+ later, we were not impressed. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special. I could easily pick out 5-6 Japanese restaurants in the Houston area that had much better offerings and fish selections. You can do better Nobu !

We made reservations for two Sunday first available. Upon arrival the restaurant was quiet with few people seated because they had just opened. The atmosphere and decor were upscale, modern and appropriate for the venue theme. Only negative was that the dining area was very hot (full disclosure it was over 100F outside and I was wearing a suit). Table for two was in a right angle style booth where we sat adjacent instead of across from each other. This was a good arrangement for sharing dishes. The staff was attentive, polite and knowledgeable. The level of service training seemed very high and it showed. Cuisine at this level is sometimes intimidating on a menu but the explanations of the dishes was friendly and accessible. We ordered separate items off of the menu instead of the chef's tasting menu. We had tried their chef's tasting menu in Las Vegas but choose to pick our own dishes this time. The food definitely lived up to the reputation. The colors, textures and flavors were remarkable. We tasted a variety of tempura, wagu beef dumplings, a fatty tuna (O'Toro) sashimi, fresh water unagi (eel), and Miso Sea Bass. All dishes were very well plated and presented. In summary, if you like to try new tastes or fusion cuisine, you will be in for a very top end experience. Expect to pay top end prices for small but well prepared offerings. The sea bass was an exception, the portion was large. The preparation and ingredient quality is among the best and prices reflect this quality. There are a large variety and range of Japanese restaurants to pick in most big cities. If culinary craft and iron chef level food appeals to you or if you just want to impress a serious foodie date, this experience could definitely be for you.

I am in love. I typical stick to steakhouses and I did not think I would like Nobu. The server was so patient and helped us pick out menu items that would best suit our palate. The food was amazing, probably the best food I've eaten in a while. I cannot wait to return.

Nobu in Houston is an amazing experience. The sake selections paired with a journey of food selections is what makes this experience memorable. Everything on the menu is designed to be enjoyed. You really can’t go wrong with any selection. My recommendation is to try as many items possible. We will be back!

Noel (she), our server, was outstanding. We did a modified omakase. She made sure there were dishes for each palette and one vegan guest. The food was incredible and service made the evening special. The food came out at a nice pace and we did not feel rushed. Noel was attentive and savvy as we had deep discussions at the table.

2-3x cost of some of the top sushi restaurants in Houston. Service was not great, food quality was so so. For example, $66 lobster salad had lettuce that was not fresh. Very disappointed and will not be going back.
