I have been visited most of Nobu in the world . As always they have a good varieties of food and beverages. They have a good standard of service and very well trained. Especially in Tokyo they speak english bery well to explained all kind of food . We can always know of Nobu standard , never doubt about it.
We booked a table for two on a Tuesday evening, and was only the third table in the whole restaurant. The quality of food match with the expectation. Service is excellent, the waiter is very willing, but kinda fall short on his English. Otherwise, the whole dinner was very enjoyable, great food!
The food as always was good, except in the sushi I found and nearly choked on a bone. When bringing this to the attention of the waiter there was some embarrassment and a faint I am sorry but little else. The service at this Nobu branch was slow also even when there were so few guests unto late into the meal.
Have been a fan of Nobu around the world but dropping $500+ US on a dinner for two and hang almost no reaction to the bone. It will be my last visit to this branch. Absolutely killed the evening and our 15th wedding anniversary
Nobu is always a good choice where ever you are in the world, love their asian food. But I was a little bit disappointed with their lack of service, the waitress (es) was slow and not very attentive. At the end of the meal they somehow "woke up" and got better. The Wagyu beef dumplings was to die for!
Great ambiance, great food but too bad the service makes things so complicated. When trying to make a booking for 12pm, the reason why this is not possible is not that the restaurant is already full, no...we have more people coming in at 12pm, could you come at 12.15pm? Why? I do not mind waiting 2 minutes while you guide another visitor to his table. No, that is not possible:(
And then they note you down for being a no-show....strange
A trip to Tokyo. Had to go to Master Nobu and have his iconic Black Atlantic Cod dish.
If I see this on a menu I always have it...try it if you have never had it before.
Stunning wines, contemporary restaurant with quiet subtle atmosphere.
Food was incredible as was the awesome service.
Date went well too ;-)
Very nice charming place for a business dinner. Food, service was fantastic as usual. Our waiter brought their signature dishes for us and amazed us all. Atmosphere is great but was quite noisy and hard to talk during our last visit. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner. Never disappointed here.
The food is up to Nobu's impeccable international standards and probably better value as the portions are larger than other worldwide outposts.
The decor has the usual Nobu panache, however I can't but feel the atmosphere of the restaurant, is somewhat lacking in comparison to some of the other worldwide Nobu venues we frequent.
Considering that its Nobu I was expecting more considering that it is in Tokyo as well. Disappointed with having the menu and each page was covered in plastic like a work file. Food quality was ok but should have been so much more. Overall a bit disappointed and would think twice before going again. Tokyo has much more to offer that this.
Disappointing! We splurged for our last night in Tokyo but rated this our least favorite and just about most expensive meal of a two week trip. Felt very ordinary and not at all special with quite indifferent waitstaff. Nothing bad, pretty decent food but nothing remarkable to justify a return visit.
Travelling from Gernany and staying at the Okura, we returned to Nobu after two years on occasion of our wedding anniversary , opting for the extensive chef's menue - once again excellent fare beautifully presented - not cheap but definitely worth it. Dessert came with a Happy Anniversary chocolate bar, and pic was taken by staff as a remembrace to take along - nice personal touch! Had been to Nobu Cape Town in March - the Tokyo venue's food is so much better - no comparison.
Will be back some day.
The appetizers (warm mushroom salad, lobster & scallop) that we had was amazing!
The main courses : black miso cod and sirloin steak was absolutely fantastic! We love it!
The dessert : shaved ice, was wonderful too! Love that texture where it just melts in your mouth. A slightly larger scoop of ice cream would be nice.
Also loved the fact that the restaurant welcomes children. Will definitely bring my 5 year old next time!
From the moment you step in, you are pleasantly greeted. No problems with the reservation, just show the email and its good to go. As you are escorted to your table, the entire staff (including the chefs) greet you welcome. Everyone is very pleasant, polite and incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is very nice, a bit disturbed by the big table of 10 or so people behind us, but still not a bother.
The food was an absolute delight. Every dish was made with utmost care and perfection.
Yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño, incredible fresh fish with a kick of spice which does not overtake the other flavors.
Squid carpaccio, absolutely amazing. Opened my eyes to squid, something I've oftentimes been to afriad of trying.
Lobster salad, just wow! A bit pricey but definitely worth it! Great lobster, the meat was so soft it nearly melted in the mouth and the flavor was fantastic.
For the main dish I had the sushi dinner, some of the best sushi I've ever had the joy of trying. Great rice, incredible fish most likely caught the same day and tasteful pieces of perfect size with plenty of flavor.
Creme brulee, brilliant. Three different flavors, one with sake, one green tea and one regular.
The famous chocolate box, well deserved of its praise!
Add to that some excellent champagne, well rounded drinks (try the saketini!) And great coffee, all together it was a dining experience I won't soon forget!
All in all, the food was some of the best I've ever eaten, great drinks at a fair price, outstanding service with employees that serve your every need and happily go the extra mile to make your experience as pleasant as possible, this restaurant is one of the best I've ever had the joy of visiting. A must-go if you ever visit Tokyo!
I went for lunch on a weekday.
I have heard a lot about their New York branch so was eager to check out the one in Tokyo.
The restaurant was spacious and they had a good variety of meat and vegetable dishes as well which was nice as I don't eat sea food.
I enjoyed and will go there again especially for business meals or lunch meetings.
