I’ve looked at dining here for a while, as recommended by friends, so it wasn’t a disappointment at all when I dined there for the first time, with my clients.

Perfect place to catch up with friends and talk. We selected the menu of the day - tasty and light. I appreciated the quiet, the understated elegance of the decor and the friendly but unobtrusive service. It was a mild day so it was lovely to have the door open with fresh air circulating. Also full marks for sustainable cloth table napkins and baskets of freshly laundered bathroom hand towels.

So good! Chefs menu was delicious and seasonal choices. Wine list was also really good. Servers were great!

Another fabulous night of excellent food, wine, beers and ciders. Highly recommend the the prawn linguine.

Fabulous as always. First time back since lockdown ended and it was wonderful. We always have the degustation/set menu and the $30 bottomless house wines(Yarra Valley sparkling, white and a Bordeaux red)make it perfect. Staff pleasant, polite and professional.

Noir was a favourite haunt of ours when it opened, and we spent many pleasurable meals being looked after by Ebony and Pete. Having returned from overseas, my partner and I took the opportunity to revisit the restaurant for the first time since 2014 when we left, and it was still just as enjoyable - the service great (thanks Alice and Evan), the food still exquisite, and all in all, a great way to while away the afternoon.The fact the restaurant has survived through the recent ravages of COVID, and was still alive and kicking was initially a surprise to my wife and I, however, perhaps more a testament to the quality involved, the equal of the better known restaurants in Melbourne, whilst somehow still fitting the bill as the relaxed "local".

Noir was a pleasant dining experience for our group of diners. The mains menu is limited. Entrees had a larger selection and it may be wiser to choose two from this list to gain a more French dining experience. Wine list is extensive but very expensive. Our group of five had a main course each, one bottle of wine and two glasses of Chardonnay. $330 seemed fairly pricey. Service is excellent and ambience very pleasant and not noisy.

What a wonderful little gem in the heart of Richmond. We had the tasting menu which was so good. The staff were professional and attentive and the ambiance of the place was lovely. I highly recommend this place and make sure you have the oysters with champagne granita - a real stand out - but all the food is excellent. There were also a nice wine selection.

Had the tasting menu with matching wines. Everything was exceptional and the wines were excellent matches. The waiter created a great experience for us too!

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Good wine list. Small menu, some things not particularly French or seasonable but you are guaranteed to find something to enjoy.

We were treated with care from the moment we stepped in. The service was attentive but not intrusive and the food was delightful (tasting menu). When we mentioned we had a movie after dinner, the courses were timed to perfection so that we were relaxed but still able to leave on time. Noir is a class act.
