North Italia - Fashion Valley
Food was great! First time my mom & I completely finished everything we ordered! No leftovers! Plus the service was perfect! The pace at which everything was served was just right! The portions were just right. Loved the whole experience. Thanks.
Truly excellent service and food... what we’ve come to expect from our visits to North Italia in Phoenix. Previously ate here on May 26 which was uncharacteristically bad for North Italia, but none of those issues resurfaced today. Terrific service and food. Tried the pistachio olive oil bread dessert which was delish.
The food is absolutely delicious and the choices are incredible. Love this restaurant!!
I have already given North Italia glowing reviews. This visit was a 10 as usual. The manager even came to our table to make sure we were completely satisfied.
Great time last night at Mission Valley’s North Italia. Very attentive waiter (Brian) delicious food and fun dinner companions ; couldn’t ask for more than that!
Great food and outstanding service! It is a treat to go there!
My parents anniversary and I made sure to make the note on the reservation but they never once mentioned it. Food was great, service was ok. The server felt like she is just doing her job, took 40 min to bring the drinks, 10 min after dinner was out she came and asked if we want boxes. Felt rushed towards the end, the sense of urgency she didn’t have when we first sat.
The service was horrendous. We waited 30 minutes for our salads, and 40 minutes for our entrees. There were several empty tables, they were not that busy. Our server gave no communication and barely spoke a word to us, even when we asked questions. The prices are extremely high and the portions are small.
Its very loud which makes conversation almost impossible.
great place..food wonderful service is excellent ..parking is a negative as it is mall parking
Father’s Day dinner! It was our second time here and it was soooooo freakin DELICIOUS!!! The food is so so so good! We’ve tried their spaghetti with meatballs, shortrib radiatori, squidink dish, prosciutto bruschetta, calamari - everything was so good!!! We love the food and the decor! Modern but not trying too hard.. the service is pretty good. Nothing great but not bad. I feel like the servers could be a little more attentive but overall the servers we’ve had were nice.
Overall, it was a good experience. I got the chicken pesto with gluten-free pasta and was fairly happy with it, there was nothing special about it though. Some of my pasta was slightly undercooked and kind of crunchy, the chicken was fairly good, and the pesto tasted like pesto. Although it was good, I definitely don't think it was worth the $21 when I could've made the exact same dish at home for under $10. Someone else at my table got the pig pizza and I didn't hear any complaints from him. Someone else got the spaghetti and meatballs and was very happy with it. He at first was skeptical that it would be worth the money, but after eating it he was very pleasantly surprised. I really liked the look of North Italia. The wall of windows made the room look very large and the natural lighting was pleasant. The service was good, they always made sure we were taken care of and I feel like we never had to wave down a waiter to get something. They also played very good music. I would recommend this place to a friend, but I might tell them to just not get the gluten-free pasta as it was very subpar.
Always good eats!!!!
Had over 20 tables open and a line of people outside. They said 45 minute wait for guest but yet you had over 20 tables open. A homeless person threatened my girlfriend for her food while we were waiting. Noodles were hard and under cooked. Meatballs had no taste to them. Salads are not something you can split. Overall not a good experience.
Wonderful experience for our family, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent
Convenient location, large and good for groups celebrating work-related affairs but neither cozy nor romantic. Food is average and reasonably priced, wine list is average at best, yet mostly over 3 times the rattail prices. The best part of North Italia for us was the starters and the dessert menu.
Wonderful food. Great service.
Had it not been for a discount coupon for the restaurant on Facebook, might not have ever tried North Italia. But was pleasantly surprised with the good food and service. A little pricey fir lunch (good Italian Wedding soup and a shard pizza) so I was happy for the coupon. I will come back because if it’s convenient location to meet friends fir lunch and the nice servers.
PS. The restaurant inside was way too cold, even during the random San Diego heatwave and we chose to sit outside and be warm and have the sometimes annoying traffic from mall parking lot instead!
Perfect dinner to celebrate my birthday!
Food and drinks were plentiful and the service was great
My go to for chopped chicken salad. Love this addition to the mall.
Delicious roasted cauliflower. A must try.
Wonderful! Beautiful restaurant, fresh ingredients and food and awesome customer service! Will definitely be back again!
We really loved the contemporary, upscale ambiance of this restaurant. The happy hour specials were a really great deal—I can’t remember the last time we paid $16 for a bottle of wine. The food was delicious as well—zucca chips, meatballs on a bed of creamy polenta, bruschetta with pancetta! Service was enthusiastic and efficient. We will definitely return on our next visit to San Diego.
Great experience 💕
Loved it so much I’ve been back twice!
I have been 4 times to this restaurant! I really enjoy the ambiance and the food! And I bring my friends here each time. The polenta and meatballs are to die for! Also love the arugula and avo salad! Food is fresh and beautifully presented!
One thing though, I enjoy my salmon blackened on a salad but I haven't been able to get it like that...almost as if they do not know how, or just do not choose to do it. After asking for it, the salmon came back just crispy instead and overcooked.
I have to remember to bring a warm seater or even an warm overjacket as it is always too cold for my taste...
I definitely will continue to return to, though! I'm trying new things each time! Many of the small plates can be shared easily!
Very cute restaurant, spacious and a nice outside patio area as well. Service was great. The food was delicious - my friends and I tried the pizza of the day and three different pastas - all fresh & tasty.
The decir is very nice but the music is not suitable for a restaurant for all ages.
The waitresses should be more welcoming and not just about taking an order and delivering food.
For that you can go to a fast food place.
Food was good. Service was horrible. It took us more than 20 minutes just for a glass of water. Our server never checked on us unless we raised our hand and waved to try to get her attention. She billed us for something we did not order and someone else corrected that for us but she never apologized. It took us 40 minutes just to get our salad and bread and longer for food. We were there at 2pm for lunch it should not have taken that long. At least come and let us know the status of the order or get water for us. We had to ask someone else if they can please give us some water.
Been their several times before... Squid Ink, much more spicy than before... To HOT this time around.
Although we had a reservation, arrived on time and were seated promptly by the hostess, we waited for over 20 minutes and no server ever came to the table to take our order... so we left.
I like to go there for the pizza....the best in San Diego in my opinion! Everyone is welcoming, efficient, and make for a wonderful dining experience.
The food is great. The service la k of personal attention and the setting on the table is not very helpful, like they give you cocteles with nothing to hold the water that drips from the evaporation of ice, is a water fountain after 3 min on the table.
We love the food and are becoming “regulars” since we are dining here weekly! They are really great about accommodating my child’s food allergies to eggs and peanuts. He enjoys eating spaghetti and marinara, and they make him focaccia bread! The rest of us like their Chicken Parmigiana! Looking forward to dining again next week!
Even with reservations still had to wait 25 minutes. Than the starter was over cooked. The rest of the meal was good and saved this review.
The most amazing bread I ever had! Amazing food and the atmosphere is nice.
This was our first visit to a North Italia restaurant and it was enjoyable. We started with the Simple Salad and the Daily Soup that was an excellent Chickpea recipe. Our main courses were the Short Ribs with Pasta and the Bolognese and we shared an excellent dessert and an after dinner drink.
I have recommended it to many friends. Nice menu and great location.
Overall our luncheon experience was very good. My only disappointment was the Calamari that was my choice for lunch. It was too fried. The calamari were so stiff...and no taste. But my guest thoroughly enjoyed her pasta selection. Gelato and expressos were excellent...as was the two glasses of red wine we ordered. Next time I am at your restaurant...I'll order other than the calamari. Oh..our waitress was the best!
I went to North Italia with two of my friends. I had been there before, but it was their first time. They both enjoyed everything about it. Samantha, our server was excellent. Personable and efficient. Her descriptions of menu items was right on Mark! Thank you!!
