North Italia - Reston
First time sitting at the bar - great service in a casual setting, nice night out!
We went here for our anniversary dinner this past weekend. We were both happy with our entire meal. We got the arancini and bruschetta as appetizers and both were delicious. We got the burrata tortelloni and herbed chicken for entrees, and tiramisu and hazelnut torte for dessert. Very, very good!
The meal was good, but not outstanding. When I asked if Egg Beaters (egg substitute) were available for one of the menu items, I was told that they weren't. I also asked if the Italian sausage in another menu item was sweet. I was told that it was regular sausage. The room was noisy enough for my friend and me to almost shout, and it didn't help that there was a table of approximately 10 children under the age of 8 shrieking throughout the whole meal seated next to us. On a good note, though, the desserts were fantastic and unique.
Enjoyed our first visit to North Italia. The Bolognese was outstanding, and the Pig Pizza was delicious! We found the Calamari starter to be disappointing - while the calamari itself was good, the dish lacked spark. The calamari was in a bed of arugula with a little dressing - could have been better served with a spicy sauce. Our server was polite and attentive, the noise level was decent ( enjoyed the ambient music), though the restaurant was uncomfortably warm inside. Overall it was nice - we’d return as well as recommend.
viviana is great!!
friendly and great service, very helpful. a pleasure we will be back
Excellent food, upbeat staff, and a beautiful location. What's not to love about this new restaurant, which adds improved flavor and interest to Reston Town Center? Great place for a date or meeting friends. Have dined here numerous times since its opening and have had superior service each visit.
Poor service. Rude staff members. Does not take good allergy seriously. Had gluten free dishes mixed up with regular dishes. Acted annoyed when we tried to sort it out. Very good when they first opened. Service has since gone way way down.
Always visit North when visiting Phoenix because the food is excellent. Now that it has opened in Reston, we are so excited and have dined there 3 times since opening in August. Absolutely the best Italian Food!
Very much enjoyed this new addition to RTC. Good menu...would like to see more items added. Perhaps a veal, since this eatery is Italian style!
Loved it. We had pizzas and spare ribs. Great! We will be back to try more.
The restaurant plays music loudly and it really isn't necessary.
The tables in the middle are in an open and uninviting pattern.
The food was ok. Nothing that would have me rushing back.
Thee staff was friendly.
Love new Reston Center location. North Italia always delivers a great experience.
I love North Italia. I first found the location in King of Prussia PA then found they opened a location in Reston VA. I had brunch on Sunday. The sausage, egg, cheese wrap was amazing. There was also a side of fried potato balls that were little pillows of yum! We also tried the baked french toast. I do not like french toast but this is beyond amazing! I will go back often.
Service was amazing! My friend and I decided to come here to have a little girls’ night/ dinner. We were not let down with the amazing service, food, and drinks!
It was beautiful. We sat outside by the water fountain. Weather was perfect.
This was our second visit to North Italia -- the first having been in Tucson. The food was excellent. The wait staff while friendly show signs of inexperience. It appears they need additional training in this quite new location. Although we were disappointed in the service at the beginning of our meal, we were impressed that the manager took our concerns to heart and made sure the balance of our experience was pleasant.
First time here. Our table was well lit, lights focused on the table. Our server was great. Attentive but not overbearing. We ordered the grilled bread with olive oil as an appetizer. Four pieces of bread grilled drizzled with olive oil and cheese. Our four entrees came out at the same time. All agreed food was good. Spaghetti is thick and the 17 year old that ordered it couldn’t finish it. He said was good but very filling. We were there early on a weeknight. Hopefully good service carries into busier times. We will be back.
Great service, awesome food. Best restaurant in the Reston Town Center.
Trendy, very loud but nicely done open eating environment with good service and food. Menu is similar to Vapiano but larger selection with grill
Good location, nice ambiance. The food is good but a limited selection. Service is a work in progress - waiter was very nice but too attentive, suspect in a few weeks will have the experience to know when to visit and when to let the conversation and meal to flow. I will return- good value for everyday Italian fare.
Delicious! It took a long time for the entrees to come out (we didn’t have appetizers), and when they did we had to wait another 5 min for the entree for the 4th person in our party of 4 !
Third meal here, always delicious Our waiter was very helpful & friendly. We all enjoyed our meals, the charcuterie board, the chicken parmigiana, the short ribs & the pasta with mushrooms, chicken, spinach, in a creamy sauce, delicious! We’ll be back
What a great new restaurant! A very creative and fresh use of food. Not the same old, same old Italian fare. The salads were great! The pizza dough was fresh. The hazelnut nut cake and ice cream were to die for! The service was extraordinary and they offered a dessert for our son’s birthday. Free refills on the lemonade. I have already been twice.
The food is good - we followed the recommendations of the waiter and they were, in general, spot on. The waiter could have been just a bit more knowledgeable about the wines. The service was good but not outstanding. They did comp us for the grilled bread (which is was delicious) but slow in coming. The fried calamari was different than any I'd ever had before - cook beautifully, served with arugula and dressing with a lemon vinaigrette. To be perfect it needed a kick of something - red pepper maybe. We did eat it all, so... Our entrees were just about perfect - bolognese for me and a mushroom pasta for hubby. Give these place another couple of months to work out the kinks and it should be a four star instead of three
We waited a couple of weeks to come for dinner. The moment we walked in the door I could hardly hear what anyone was saying, that's how loud it was inside. (This was the same problem with the last businesses that were there.) We were told we could not sit outside, you have to "request" the patio when you make your reservation. Our server was very friendly. She brought water, then our drinks. We waited a while for the vegetable salad we were spitting. It came on two separate plates, how thoughtful! Unfortunately my plate was drenched in way too much dressing. My husband's was fine. We waited and waited and waited for our pizza. We were asked if we wanted another drink. We both said we want our pizza! It finally came, we had to cut our own pieces, but it was delicious. We'll try for Happy Hour next time since our bill was $70.
Service was slow, needed to look for waitress, drink order was delayed. Great food but venue needs to increase staff or utilize better training.
Bread with Good Oil appetizer was just OK - would have been better if they had given oil on side for dipping. Chicken Pesto and Squid Ink pasta were delicious though!
Felt like I had a new server, but I'm sure he'll get better with experience and as the restaurant matures.
Always on the hunt for something new inReston. this one popped up. It was noisier that I would have liked and the service accuracy and attention needs a little help, but the food was good. I won't come back for a business lunch, but I will for a quick bite or break on my own.
So excited to have a new Italian restaurant at Reston Town Center that offers a variety of selections for a diverse dining community. Their ice tea is excellent and worth ordering. The seasonal salad was refreshing and large enough to split with someone. Their homemade pasta doesn't disappoint!
I love their dishes and fresh decor. The layers of flavor in their dishes is amazing. So far my favorite dishes are their short rib pasta dish, white truffle garlic bread and their meatballs. The salmon pesto farrow dish is amazing as well. You can’t go wrong with their craft cocktails either.
Had the Bolognaise this time and it was delicious. Great place, will be returning soon.
Our forth visit, food as always well prepared and presented. Our server was absolutely outstanding and a model for the front of house team. Well done Rasheed! We will be back and asking for your service area!!
Everything was delish! I recommend ordering the grilled bread with good olive oil. My husband and I shared the Caesar Salad and loved it, yes, it can be shared or eaten as an entree. He had the bolognese and that was also delicious, I ordered "The Pig" pizza...also very good. Service was excellent and love having an Italian restaurant back in The Reston Town Center...go and make reservations today!
The service needs to be smoothed out a bit but they are finding their stride. The food was great!
What a great time we had - our first visit to North Italia. The food was creative and exceptional. Service we excellent. Ambiance was very nice. We will return again and again!
Too bad they dont have free warm bread. We ordered the bread but didn't care for all the oil and toppings. Was husband's Birthday but they didnt acknowledge. They will in future after you fill out their form. Will try it again....see how their pizza compares to &Pizza in Reston. Excellent salad.
Wonderful food, service ambiance, etc. My only gripe is that they charge $5.00 for bread. I do not know of any other restaurant (Italian or other) that charges for bread. BOO!
Went on a Sunday. Menu limited compared to rest of week due to Sunday brunch. Not sure why.
Scallops very good . Chicken crisp and nice. Wines a little overpriced.
Love what they did with the space; a breath of fresh air.
Pleasantly surprised! The truffle garlic bread should not be missed. The short ribs pasta dish was amazing as well!
