Food and service were excellent. It was very noisy. Ambiance was ok--not cozy or romantic, but fine for getting together with friends after work or for a business gathering. Tables outside would be much quieter.

Th service was slow and he forgot items as well as the bread which we had to ask for and was served as we were finishing our food instead of at the very beginning. We had to call him twice to get his attention and even had to get up and walk over to him. He was polite and nice which helped a lot.

Enjoyed a nice meal with friends prior to a show at the Kennedy Center. Great place for a group. Food is good and the prices are reasonable. Our service was excellent. The server was easily able to separate the bill individually for a party of six even with shared plates. They made it so easy!

poor service. Had to get our silverware from other tables; the one specific request on a particular food item was ignored; basically, the restaurant attempts a Italian experience but the waiters and waitresses are merely food runners with little knowledge of the menu or basic dining etiquette.

We were three people getting a meal at the Foggy Bottom location. The food was fine, the experience was fine, the serve was fine. It was nothing special and a little pricey for nothing special. We had the bread appetizer - $8 for four pieces of bread drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We were hoping for bread and olive oil to dip it in. We also had the Crispy Eggplant Parmesan. It wasn't crispy and I thought it was a little heavy. We also shared Strozzapreti. It was ok. A little too salty for me, but plenty of food to share. Sorry, we wanted to like this as we are always looking for a place to eat before attending a show at the Kennedy Center. It is very close to cheap parking ($11) and the Kennedy Center bus, so there is that.

We had a very nice corner table for three of us, two Chinese young women studying and working in DC. We had pizza and calamari, and squid ink pasta, all delicious. Our hostess gave us just the right amount of attention and then had to rush off for her class at GW. The resto was packed for lunch with a crowed obviously happy to be there.

We went to this restaurant for Summer Restaurant Week. We sat outside after visiting someone at GW Hospital, which is only a couple of blocks away. Positioned on a major street, there was a fair degree of activity, traffic, pedestrians, ambulances, cyclists and mopeds-- enough to be interesting, without being annoying. My husband ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and got delicious portions big enough to share! We both enjoyed his caesar salad and dessert of flourless chocolate cake with cherries and sweetened ricotta cheese. I ordered the branzino, a la carte, which came with fennel and other roasted vegtables and blanched brocolini. He had braised short ribs, with polenta, carrots and asparagus. All of the dishes were delectable, well seasoned and satisfying. We ate our fill and had nothing left. The waiter was attentive and the evening was delightful.

1PM is still too early to enjoy lunch at North Italia: TOO NOISY! Hostess was lackluster and lacked proper customer service skills: no proper greeting, disappeared to find a table (even though I had a reservation) and another person had to come over to help us. Also, we waited an unusually long time for our meal to arrive. The server was even apologetic. Too expensive. Too noisy. Lackluster service.

Delicious dinner. We made a reservation for 6:30. We were headed to Kennedy Center for an 8:00 show. Service was very efficient and pleasant. Food was great. Came hot from the kitchen. Noisy but pretty restaurant. Would definitely go again.

We got stuck into a corner, behind a piece of the wall that jutted out so we were hidden from the main floor. We got completely ignored by our waiter, who would disappear for 15-20 minutes at a time, even when we asked for “just a minute.” It got so bad that the manager had to step in and serve us himself towards the end. Then after everything, our gift card got completely declined even after saying it had a balance. The food was good, but there are plenty of places to get good food in DC.

Great outdoor dining, in the shade. Nice variety of wines and all the salads are large and very flavorful. Calamari fritti is as good as anywhere.

The service was slow. So slow “management” came to our table and apologized for the delay, saying the kitchen got “slammed.” Odd, on a Wed night at 5:45? Good luck on a Saturday night! Also, it was observed that the person making bread was not wearing a head covering.
