Great food, fabulous cocktails, friendly staff, great position. Love going to Northerlies.

I loved our dinner at Northerlies.
Drinks were amazing, food was amazing and the service was first class.
The courtesy bus was also a great experience. Our diver took a little detour to show my son some local fishing spots-very much appreciated!
I would thoroughly recommend this place for a great night out, or lunch. Thanks to all the staff, you were wonderful.

The food was okay however we were told that we can't order entrees to come out before the main meals. If we wanted the the entrees to come out before the mains, we would have to line up and order twice, which seems silly considering it is an expensive restaurant. When we went they had run out of both garlic bread and pork.

The location of the restaurant was nice however after 8pm it was clear the staff just wanted to clean up and call it a night.

Beautifully set on its own little private beach. View and atmosphere was incredible. Food was quality and not to pricey. Big serves also. Drinks were quite expensive. 12 bucks for a corona

My meal was lovely but my guest meals of burgers were cold. And my wifes fish and chips were over cooked and dry. The service persons were not only helpful but cheerfully pleasent.

This restaurant had been highly recommended... nothing more than a pub served meal... entree came out with the main... very disappointing...

My only criticism is that in such a beautiful and tranquil setting the food is no more than pub grub,!! It would be nice to have entrees as entrees and not delivered to the table all together with the main courses

Was allowed to book a table on line for 4pm, when we arrived the kitchen was closed until 5pm. We could order from the light snack menu though, was advised they had ran out of calamari so was very disappointed when a table next to me who arrived after me received 2 big platefuls of calamari. This place was brilliant years ago but not now, we left and went to dinner at the coral resort rocks restaurant which was awesome.

Great beach atmosphere with high ceilings and timber, stunning coastal outlook with views of the sea! Courtesy bus was necessary, as Northerlies is a fair distance from town, and inaccessable by foot from Airlie Beach. Only one bus operating, so first on first dropped basis. Food was average, although fairly big portion sizes. Entree took ages to arrive, but mains came out super quick. Sirloin Steak came out well done, despite request for Medium Rare. No prices on Beer at the bar, be ware of the $15 scooner. Cocktails the same prices as metro cities. Nice place to visit for the scenery and at sunset, but would only go once.

Have been about 8 times over 6 years, Covid has hit the format, they have lost chefs, every time I have been its table service and fantastic à la carte food, this time its order at the bar and pub food on the menu, hope they can turn it around.

We dined at Northerlies on Christmas Eve as part of our Christmas vacation. We were advised on arrival that there was a 15% surcharge as it was a public holiday which was all well and good. However, paying $33 for a Corona and a pint of Great Northern just doesn’t add up to anything but outrageous, public holiday or not. It just doesn’t make for value for money when the drink prices cost more than the food which is average in itself. The plusses being that the venue is lovely. There is no table service so be prepared to order drinks at the bar and food at the designated counter. Meals were served fast, drinks were slow being busy at the bar. Overall okay but not great.

Food as always was delicious. All staff were helpfull and professional. Only downfall there was no desert menu.

Loved it! Such a relaxed vibe. Def worth the visit. Staff happy & helpful. Beautiful spot well maintained. Food was tasty and reasonable. Pizza only available on weekends though.

Pretty long waiting times at the bar due to the venue being well known for cocktails, in my opinion it work better if there was one or two members of the bar staff dedicated to making cocktails and then the remainder could punch out beer,wine and soft drink requests.
No desert menu on offer just a range of cakes, this was not well received by my wife.

Amazing experience, seafood platter for two was delicious!

While the location was great for a decent view while dining - the food was over priced for its quality. I ordered the steak and while it was cooked to the right doneness - it was very tough. Also we received the entrees with the mains at the same time meaning the mains were cold by the time we got to them. Staff were pleasant enough - just a shame about the food.

Never disappointed at Northerlies, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food comes out quickly, accurately and is delicious! Love love love relaxing on the beach chairs after a meal with a drink in hand. Kid friendly and amazing views.

One of the top restaurants in the Whitsundays. Amazing location, amazing views and fantastic food and service....

Not long after we arrived the internet dropped out. There was no drink taking or order taking for at least 45 minutes. We were told that this regularly happens due to where the establishment is located. We felt that if this is a regular occurrence a contingency plan should be in place.

We were able to set up a tab to start placing orders after waiting over 45 minutes. However, this was not offered until I was serve by a lovely young girl (wish I had caught her name, she was medium height and blonde with long hair). She had amazing customer service and nothing was too much trouble.

Reminded me of the many beach bars in Bali. There should be more of these places in Australia.....taking advantage of the natural beauty of our world's best beaches.
