Took my octogenarian parents there for the first time and they LOVED it. The Oak Fashioned and the sazerac were especially good. As was the vegan cupcake.
I wanted Oak to be great but I was underwhelmed. Service was okay but slow. They did remote ordering with a QR code but it wouldn’t work because the code at our table was printed poorly so we had to ask for help ordering anyway. Sides we ordered on the app showed up online but didn’t make it to the kitchen. Food was so so, French toast was over fried and just crunchy. Tofu bacon was just slices of pan friend tofu, no creativity or seasoning it seemed. Road noice was loud, but not their fault. Server knocked over a glass of water onto my daughters plate during a food hand off and didn’t do anything to make up for the plate of wasted food. Overall for a $70 brunch for three with no cocktails included, I would have hoped for in the least better food.
So nice to be able to go to a place that acknowledges the importance of offering quality veg and non-veg options. I don't eat meat but most of my friends too. This is a great option if you are like me and find yourself in a similar crowd. Saison on tap was nice. They arranged a booth for us by the window that was significantly socially distanced from the next closest table.
Would definitely go back. If restaurant is reading this, thanks for the dinner and the enjoyable evening.
Good time, fresh beer, good food, big burgers and good vegan options as well.
food and beverages were good! the brussels sprouts were delicious. Really. I had a burger, friend had a salad, we both had the bar ginger ale. it was great to be there and see neighbors walking by.
It was clean, fast and great service.
OK food but service has a little bit of an attitude. Nothing too amazing that would make me want to come back
Oak has the best burgers in Seattle! Great service.
This was my first restaurant dining experience since February 2020, and it was a perfect reintroduction!
Pretty rustic. Covid made for minimal service, less than other restaurants during Covid. It wasn’t what I expected, but might be someone’s jam.
Another excellent visit! Limited indoor dining is now an option.
Excellent vegan options and an interesting drink menu
The oak is a Beacon Hill treasure. Especially with everything going on it's so nice to be able to count on a great meal here. The staff is so pleasant and the food is satisfying. The fried brussel sprouts get me everytime and damn, those Oaktails *chefs kiss*.
Amazing food and excellent attentive service. Thank you!
The best vegan chicken and waffles I've ever had, and I've had a few! Great contactless menu and checkout without lacking service. Can't wait to go back!
Vegan phishwich is amazing! I’m told the fried chicken is equally amazing, but can’t speak for that!
Amazing spot for food and drinks in Beacon Hill. Gabriel was an awesome and super friendly server. Loved the ambience of the place as well.
Love this place! Great place to go for yummy food, crafty cocktails and friendly service. I highly recommend dining at Oak!
Unfortunately, our visit came up short of my high expectation. Disappointing, especially for Mother's Day. We opted for indoor eating and thus, had to wear our masks any time we were not eating. Currently the restaurant has customers order online, having to enter everything in (cumbersome, especially for those with food allergies) and several times, I accidentally closed the menu and reopened and was not able to get in very easily. When I had a question about ingredients in a dish, I had to go track down a server. It took us 15 minutes just to order! I did appreciate that the kitchen staff came out to clarify my notes on my son's food allergies. Then, once our food did arrive, I had accidentally ordered one too many entrees. I had ordered a gluten-free bun and was given a regular bun which I realized after taking a bite. I did not want to wait for another bun, so I opted to eat my burger without the bun. So, overall, it was not a relaxing restaurant experience. Ordering took way too long and was stressful. It was stressful that I had ingested gluten and was worried about how it would affect my digestive system. So, I would not go back anytime soon. I would try it again, perhaps in a year, sitting outside and hopefully the waitstaff would be taking orders.
This is an amazing spot for wonderful food and a staff that will do their very best to accommodate your needs.
I specifically made a reservation for an outdoor table; when I arrived I was told that this was no longer an option, despite there being multiple uncleared tables outside. When the host finally was able to seat my group outside, the table was given to another family. We ended up asking for a quiet table tucked around the corner from the sidewalk which ended up working nicely. The food was excellent, but very poor service.
Had a lovely brunch on the patio, the food was excellent and great selections for the vegetarian in our group. Would definitely recommend the brunch experience!!
Food was terrific ! Super easy to order via phone. We will be back .
Great presentation. Food was a little disappointing.
Solid spot in Georgetown. Fast, friendly. We ate outside. Good drinks. Kind people. Solid food.
Love love love the vegan cupcake. Would come back for it, not the burgers.
I miss the human interaction when ordering.
I hope once safer out there that comes back.
Overall, always love Oak.
Thanks for being open
The burgers were amazing! We sat outside on the side of the building which wasn't the best ambiance, but otherwise our experience was 10/10. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.
The Oak is one of the best spots in Seattle - best burger and cocktails around, outdoor seating, and their COVID safety is on point.
Been going to the Oak since it opened. It never disappoints. Like the new ordering policy since Covid. Easy to order, navigate and pay. Five star all around!
1st time for indoor dining. Making great use of some cool technology, Oak made the indoor experience just as covid-safe feeling as their outdoor seating. Loved it. Great vegan options.
Great service! People were friendly. Following excellent Covid protocols. Loved that they had a variety of vegan options. I would not order the vegan chicken strips again, however. One reason being that they were over fried to the point where they were super crispy and burnt. Another reason being that they were over spiced, so lots of weird flavor going on there. Definitely would go back though.
Best bar ever. even/especially during covid! Staff is amazing, super safe, great food.
Finally open for indoor dining!
oak always does a great job. Lots of great vegan friendly options.
Highly reccomend the fried chicken sandwich.
Great covid safe practices and a new sq code ordering system. Will return for another visit
Oak never fails to impress. Most recently we just grabbed beers and fries which are always outstanding, and the staff is always super efficient and kind.
My first time at Oak and had a wonderful dinner. Outdoor seating with coverage and heating, so helpful and nice during this time of year.
Our dinner at Oak was fabulous! The food was delicious and the server was great, even though she was very busy. I had the Oak Fashioned, which was a solid Old Fashioned. The fried Brussels sprouts were great and my Beacon Breakfast Burger was juicy and delicious. All in all, a good time was had by all!
The service at Oak the evening we dined was amazing. We dined outside and the staff was attentive and kind and on top of things!
Jeff our server was super friendly and welcoming and made sure our table was sanitized and the heater was toasty. I always love the hamburger at Oak and it was great this time too. Frites were a thumbs up and cocktails tasty.
Due to COVID, when we visited, the restaurant was only serving outdoors. Oak had really thought through how to make the outdoor dining experience as fun and comfortable as possible and the staff constantly made sure we were happy - which we were because the food (and cocktails!) were so damn good. Awesome local beer selection as well.
