We wanted to support our local after it had recently changed hands. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the service, however the food was good

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, it is really disappointing to read that we let you down when you decided to visit last week, I can assure you these are not the levels of hospitality I expect guests to receive & assure you we are better than that. Not wanting to offer any excuse, quite the opposite as when I get it wrong I do so with my hands up, on Wednesday we had minimal bookings and staffed accordingly, the pub was unexpectedly very busy which meant I needed to support the solo chef in the kitchen, everything else has a knock on from there which is what the bar & dining area felt. I am happy to read that you enjoyed the food, hopefully that warrants another visit as I would love the opportunity to change your impression of the business. Sincerest apologies Morgan

Havent been for a year or so, therefore quite a few changes. New surroundings are more appealing. Seevice waa relativly quick. Menu had loads to choose from. Pastry on pies is Shortcrust so always a plus. Husband asked for batter to be extra crispy on his fish and it was. We all four enjoyed our meal but i would say Cheese pie needs more cheese and less added potato. We are planning to come again and try a lunchtime . Happy with the experience.

Booked Sunday lunch here with my wife, both had the beef and I can honestly say it was the best beef I’ve had in a very long time. I would highly recommend booking during the week or for Sunday lunch!!!

Very enjoyable evening ,all food was excellent ,served hot ,and presented very well . Each time we come it is consistently good ,since being managed by Morgan and his team .The staff are all brilliant ,friendly and accommodating. It is a local gem , lovely country pub suitable for families and those who just want a quiet drink after a dog walk. We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep.
