Mashed Potatoes & Garlic Crisps
Wild Mushroom Orzo Pasta, Spenwood Cheese & Autumn Truffle
The food was very good. We shared the porterhouse steak, a Cesar salad and fries with parmesan and shaved truffles. The Cesar salad was uniquely presented and tasty. The beef was high quality.
Oblix was good, view was great but extremely pricey £ 36 - 176 for a steak and extra for sides. Gluten free was available but limited menu and desserts gf was very disappointed as could get brownie sundae/ sorbet in most pubs/ restaurants so would have liked more choice. Food was lovely and well cooked but you are definetly paying for the view.
Thank you to William and his wonderful team for supporting my brother in his proposal to his girlfriend! Your support and interventions were incredible and they will remember it forever. Excellent customer service and they really pushed the boat out. Thank you all again guys!!
Lovely evening with delicious food but little pricey
Very nice tea. Great atmosphere and views from the 32nd floor of the Shard.
We had the set Elevator lunch set menu at £40 a head, dessert was extra but my brother opted to end the meal with a cheese plate and I opted for the Octopus starter to end the meal seeing that I was not a big dessert fan. Nice view from the 32nd floor.
My best friend and I booked this table as a treat after not seeing each other in so long. She has been before but this was my first time and I can’t wait to come back! We where lucky enough to have a table in the window and it was amazing!! Staff amazing! Food delicious! Then cocktails downstairs was the perfect end to a perfect night. Thank you so much
Well to be at near the top of the Shard in London with what is supposed to be a top restaurant was something we looked forward to.
Appearance - modern but too dark and cheerless
Wait - very long (an hour) for what was a simple order and not really a huge crowd.
Food quality - appetizers were hit and miss with some sad tiny “king” prawns which were cut in half to give the appearance of quantity when clearly they may have been short.
Steaks were decent but not phenomenal by any means.
Sides were just okay but extremely salty broccoli.
Wanted to try the Kobe filet or the tomahawk bit was dissuaded by the server saying it would take really long.
Well .... the regular steaks also took really long.
Other items on the menu sounded nice like lamb and duck etc. but he may have had an excuse for those also.
So top of London but not top of London.
Lovely place, quite dark but able to see. Aside from the wrong steak being sent out to us. Lovely experience
Food extremely average.
Paid full price for child who doesn’t drink tea, no other options offered, charged £5.50 for an apple juice
Service - some staff were really pleasant and friendly, however our first impression at the table was an unfriendly one.
The restaurant itself was really loud with unnecessary music making it even louder.
Somewhere we wanted to try but sadly wouldn’t go back.
Lovely vibe and the food was great we had the chefs sharing menu for £55 each and we were stuffed !
The hostess was rude, claimed she called my phone regarding my reservation and when I showed her that I had not received a phone call she persisted in claiming she did. Then she seats us at a table for 4 next to a very large group, notwithstanding the fact we were a party of two and there were plenty of tables for two available with a view. They were out of the item we ordered, but the chef sent out a complimentary starter which was very good and a welcomed gesture. The waiter was excellent and very attentive. I’m sure If the hostess wasn’t rude and we had been seated at an appropriate table my scoring would have been higher.
I wasn’t particularly happy about the bread becoming stale as it was getting cold. Disappointing, specially when it was an up sale from the waiter.
Impressive venue, can’t fault that at all. It’s as expensive as you’d expect it To be for the location and vibe. Views are great, food was really tasty. The a la carte menu is solid but had the Valentine’s Day tasting menu with wine pairing. Honestly, was tasty enough but not a tasting menu. It was basically most of what was on the limited Valentine’s a la carte menu, at the table as it’s cooked. I’ve done tasting Menus as this isn’t that, but was nice to not have to think about it too much. Overall a lovely evening but £300 lighter as a result. Also, small gripe, but asking someone to remove a smart hat and making a point on all of the booking confirmations to dress well, only for me to see people with tracksuit bottoms and someone with a football top - bit of a joke. Either have a dress code or don’t - grey areas aren’t welcome. Some booked seating set up on the bar area is welcome too, it’s carnage in there as no-one directs you. Will be back though as it’s a lovely spot and service is solid
We came to oblix for valentines lunch and we get table next to the window exacly how we asked. The service was helpfull and friendly, food was amazing, we choose tasting menu and view obviously breathtaking.
Very good location, great view but the food and service were also up to standard. Really nice place for lunch dinner, date, business...
Magnificent setting. Make sure you ask for a table by the window when booking. green beans were out of this world as was the mushroom Orzo and apple pie. The rest was average.
Classic tasting menu great value for money.
Go for the tasting menu! Great way to try a little of everything!
A fantastic venue with fabulous views and great food- highly recommended
We have dined here before and it was our god friends birthday, so decided to return and we were sat at a window table much to the delight of our guests. The service was exceptional, William was fantastic greeting our birthday guest and making the whole experience personal and happy. The wagyu steak was to die for and the sweet platter with birthday wishes written was the topping of the meal. So many thanks guys for your hospitality once again
Bell’ambiente, bellissima vista, carne buona... sinceramente il personale non mi ha convinto ne all’accoglienza né in sala.
Food not wow, we took the signature menu and as they were long to serve us they moved us to another table after two hours and our meal was not finished.
Absolutely amazing staff looked after us we had a double birthday celebration and they done 2 dessert plates and candles. All staff were smart polite and smiling. They knew the menu very well and brought our food over in perfect timing topped our drinks up. The dinner was jus flowing perfectly. Thank you oblix! See you again soon
Friendly staff. Good ambiance. Had to call waiter to order but once got attention, quick and attentive service.
We were initially disappointed because our table did not have the best view but the staff did everything they could to finally accommodate us as it was my sons birthday! The food was amazing and the staff were lovely and we had a fabulous time .
Greatfor dinner with a view over London, good ambience food and service.
Not good for the money value, go elsewhere for Afternoon Tea. The only draw here is the view. Other than that, food was sub par. The actual restaurant itself was dark and unappealing.
As far as service, Patrick and the petite Asian girl (sorry forgot her name), provided excellent service with a winning attitude. They both made the experience tolerable.
Off course you pay for the beautiful location,on top of London, amazing.
Food wise is very average, over price for what you get at the end.
Bread tasted like frozen one, pasta full of butter and coffe arrived twice cold.
So if you really want to take some great picture, with friends, that’s the place,if you are hoping to have a great lunch/dinner experience, then I guess is about luck.
Lovely place with excellent service
Had a lovely family meal, very special . We were given a window table which made our night. Highly recommend.
Perfect views! Lovely personel! Excellent food!
Celebration of Christmas Eve
Perfect window seat and ambience ;)
Waited 30 mins for a table.
Waited 30 mins to be served once we sat down.
Ran out of the sandwiches that we liked.
Overall service was very slow outside of the two issues already mentioned.
Did give us two free cocktails and we’re very apologetic but not what I’d expect. Have been before with no issues.
Waited 45 mins for the afternoon tea to be served on the table after ordering! A lot of people were there hence was super noisy. The food was mediocre - the sandwiches were so bland. The cocktail was tasteless.
Basically went there JUST for the view, nothing else.
Fabulous views of course but the service and the food is also excellent. We loved the flatbreads with truffle and the squid was very good. We followed that with lobster which was moist and tender but why no claws to enjoy? Our desserts of cheesecake were delicious. The house champagne is particularly good and the selection of Californian Chardonnay was perfect. Someone proposed to his girlfriend whilst we were there and the whole restaurant celebrated with them.
The service was great and we were offered a window table once one became available.
Waited too long for food. Others were getting food before us.
Had an amazing meal at Oblix West. Loved the ambience and the views as spectacular as you can imagine even more so at night.
Main courses are cooked fresh as anything including large cuts of steak-cooked to perfection.
An ideal place for a special occasion meal a night to remember!
Really poor experience. We attended this evening for a quiet dinner. We thought we would have the 10 tasting menu, and were assured they could provide a pescatarian alternative. After quite some sway and no food, we were advised they couldn’t do seafood for the tasting menu, and instead a vegetarian option.
We did not receive food until over a hour after arriving at the time of our reservation. We then received 3 orders of bread, 3 servings of the same salad, received just 7 courses of the “10 course tasting”. Our dinner was abruptly concluded presumably as they had reserved the table for the 9.30 setting - and given the 60 plus minute delay in commencing service - ran out of time to provide the 10 course tasting menu.
We feedback to the supervisor and asked to speak with the manager. He was quite helpful, though it took 3 attempts to finalise the bill, firstly because we had been overcharged for the wrong tasting menu, they then returned with two addition drinks we didn’t order or receive, only to have to amend the bill again.
They had also placed our table very close to other tables, which meant one of us was constantly knocked and bumped into during the service of another table. Despite asking that they desist from knocking and kicking my chair, and requesting to move tables - we continued to have waiting staff knock into us during the meals.
Very disappointed with the service and the evening.
After 4 other nice experiences, I was greatly disappointed with the service and food. I have now crossed this restaurant off my list.
The food was served cold.
5 different people waited on our table and each was rude.
I tried to order a very expensive bottle of wine and they kept trying to up sell me despite my saying that I had already decided.
It was a very unpleasant experience and with so many other high end choices in London, they should be better at doing their job
