Ocean & Acre
Food and service was amazing!
Excellent food and options, coupled with a calm and enjoyable restaurant experience.
The service was not the best. Very slow and didn't buss table after appteizers and meal.
Great service and good food. There were 6 of us and had plenty of room. Customers were spread out. Fun night out.
Had the salmon, scallops, and grouper entrees and all were delicious! Roasted beets and smoked fish dip were good as well as the chocolate brownie. Definitely will do this again. Loved it!
Had a nice dinner on the patio. The few tables outside were very socially distanced. All staff wore masks. Food and service was excellent. We got the 30A fish dip as an appetizer, and we both ordered the salmon as the entree. Both were delicious. We also drank the Breakwater (I think that's what it was called) cocktail, and it was very tasty.
We have been here once before and four of us ordered fish and chips and all agreed they were excellent. I told several people how good they were and invited a neighbor to go with us. The ladies order salmon tacos and said they were very good. He and I ordered the fish and ships and to say they were disappointing was an understatement. The batter was far overdone and fish barely done and not a good flavor at all. Dinner drinks were great the first trip but second trip was not good either. I will be willing to try again but I don’t think I will convince my wife to go back.
This was our first visit and was an overall great dinner. Reservations were running a little behind but didn’t have to wait too long. We started with the fish dip and then the crab and vermicelli cakes. Both delicious. Dinner was blackened salmon tacos (the special) and the striped bass. Wonderful! Will definitely go again soon.
Our waitress was not friendly at all. Quality of food was subpar for the cost. One of our meals, grouper came out extremely over cooked and rubber like. They did give us a new piece of fish cooked correctly but their was no apology or offer to comp anything not even a dessert or drink on the house. The tuna tartar was 80% avocado and 20% tuna which was disappointing.
The food is very expensive and not worth the price. A Cesar salad was 19.00. The server explained that it was because they added fried sardines to it....? The food itself was disappointing.
A lovely summer evening on the outdoor patio. Fantastic service from Delaney and delicious food, including beet salad with goat cheese and pistachio purée, heirloom tomato and cucumber gispacho, bacon wrapped scallops and striped sea bass! I really enjoyed the refreshing gin cocktail, breakwater I think was its name...
would highly recommend for ambience food and service!
I was in a party of 4 who met for dinner at Ocean & Acre. The service was impeccable from everyone we encountered. We shared several appetizers, salads and entrees. It is hard to say which we liked best. Can't wait to go back.
Side Note: Following social distance practices for Covid-19
Ocean & Acre is a wonderful restaurant, and we will be back. The food was fresh and well prepared, the service was excellent (shout out to Mo!), and the atmosphere was comfortable yet classy. A great place for a date or just a nice lunch.
We had a reservation at 6:15 this past Sunday. The place was half empty, good ambiance, no issues. We sat at the bar for a drink prior to sitting down at our table. The bartender greeted us within about 5 min of when we sat down. He was clearly managing a lot and was running back and forth to the kitchen, serving drinks and waiting tables in the bar area. The guy even mentioned that he was there all day long and was tired. We empathized with him and he made us great cocktails. The bartender continued to work several jobs the entire time we sat there enjoying our drinks, it was amusing to watch. They clearly were understaffed. We then went to the hostess stand and let her know that we were ready to sit down. The hostess had to buss dirty tables in order to sit people which caused some delay because it was just her tending tot he hostess stand. While we waiting patiently other people started to come in and waited several minutes to be greeted or sat down. The hostess sat us down at a bar top right next to where we originally sat at the bar, so we could have just stayed at the bar. The greet time at the bar top, topped 10 min. The bartender saw us sitting there and asked if anyone had come to greet us and we said no. He then proceeded to help us for the rest of the night. We appreciated the hard work of the gentleman and tipped him accordingly. Seems like the Management of this establishment needs to tighten up. The food was good but the special "Grouper" dish was served with a brown butter sauce over mashed potatoes. It was delicious but more adequate as a winter dish that you would enjoy on a chilly night not a hot as heck outside summer dish. Just my 2 cents...This is our 3rd time there and we will pass on our next time.
All their seafood was delicious. Drinks perfectly balanced. Ask for the calamari dressing on the side
Our server was nice, the food was good, although I personally thought the sauce was over salted (we had the group - COD). We are disappointed they missed a birthday at the table. Also, the wait time was very disappointing. Open Table had availability for outdoor seating @ 8. We didn’t get sat until 8:40/8:45. The host did say it may not be until 8:30 though. We do understand there are constraints currently that all restaurants are dealing with.
The food was excellent, the staff was friendly. We went for an early lunch and the restaurant was quiet, so we ended up eating inside, since it was really too hot to sit outside. I had the fish and chips, which was excellent, there was something really tasty about the ketchup, I can't explain it. My companions had the lobster roll which they said was great. Highly recommend.
My dinner was ok,.. food was great !. It rain and a lots of pp came inside ,... and I felt rush at the end!
Our waitress when remove one of our plates, spill water over my table and she didn’t apologised!
They are doing an amazing job at Ocean and Acre. The customer service is equally as wonderful as the food!
Food was very bland. Drinks were not very good. My wife and I are celebrating our sixth wedding anniversary and had notated that on our reservation and didn’t even receive a congratulations or any mention of our special day. The highlight of our anniversary meal was walking next-door to the ice cream place in spending $10 on ice cream versus the hundred dollars we spent on dinner that left us very dissatisfied.
Loved this restaurant! Food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic!
The experience was the best I could have asked for. Knowing that we are in a standard that requires more safety and guidelines that staff put into application and applied necessary social distance standards. The service side was excellent in which our waiter was very attentive and well versed in the menu and made great recommendations. The variety and quality of food and beverages is sure not to disappoint.
Food was very good, but a bit pricey for what you get. I will visit again.
Food was inconsistent but a nice spot.
Service has been a bit slow since they have reopened. Though the servers are very knowledgeable about the menu in regards to dietary restrictions.
Apps were good (calamari, beets and hush puppies) entrees were not. Mahi Mahi on fish sandwich was brown instead of flaky white, same with Mahi on salad, 2 others had fish entrees that were mediocre. White wine was not cold, martinis not cold either. We had to add ice! Overall not worth it for the price. Also, we dined inside and it was HOT! Needs more AC and air circulation. Disappointing because the restaurant itself is beautiful.
It was a beautiful evening so we ended up sitting outside. The food was wonderful. We had the burrata, gaspacho & ceasar salad. Light, authentic and perfect for an evening out. The service was good. And the ambiance couldn't be beat!
Nice restaurant. Enjoyed food. However, sent note that it was our 20th wedding anniversary and not one person acknowledged that. Would NOT reco for a special occasion. For those moments, attention to detail is key. It’s was sets a nice restaurant apart from an incredible dining experience. Sorry, O and A, you missed the mark here.
Always a great experience. We love the food here and service is always great!
Enjoyed our meals and the bar service, but the kitchen staff kept the wait staff waiting a long time for our meals to come. The server had to come over to apologize twice and bought us a beer on the house. Not enough people in the place to justify the wait.
When the food came, it was excellently prepared.
Ocean and Acre is a great place to meet with friends and have a meal in a nice setting. For me it was my first time there. My wife had a great meal the first time she visited. We were a party of 4 and 3 of the 4 meals were just ok and a little on the salty side.
I would like to see a few more gluten free items on the menu. We will most likely give Ocean and Acre another visit for dinner before making a final decision on how we like it. Perhaps the kitchen was off that day
Excellent food, incredible service, fun atmosphere, felt 100% safe. Can’t wait to go back!
Usually love this restaurant. On this particular day it was sub par. We all had lobster rolls. Amount of meat was smaller than usual. Also were out of the bread it normally comes on. Very wet sandwich.
Had my Father's Day lunch here and all three of our meals were wonderful. They did a great job with social distancing and it was nice to not be very close to other guests from a privacy point of view. Will return
The appetizers were good but the main entree’s were very salty. We got the steak, two skirt steaks and the grouper. The drinks are great and the outdoor seating was great but would not come back because of the food.
We went for a family meal but could be great for a date or family. All the food was amazing just wish bigger portions
Awesome svc, beautiful outdoor seating, great fresh food
The lobster roll is outstanding! The hush puppies are also delicious! Great outdoor patio as well!
