Because of the COVID-19 Virus, brunch was not a buffet; we were only able to order from a limited menu. While the food was good there was not the variety there usually is.
Had dinner here on Saturday March 14, 2020 and the place was incredible. Views and ambiance were fantastic. Our server was very attentive and personable and the food was excellent. My friend and I had a great time. Highly recommended.
Went to celebrate an anniversary and our waiter Fernando went above and beyond. He had great recommendations and even surprised us with a small anniversary cake for desert. Would definitely return!
We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday and the staff made it very memorable for her. Everyone was very attentive. We never had to wait to ask for anything to be filled.
The location/view lovely. Our waitress was great. The brunch was overpriced.
We had reservations on a Saturday night for 4 people. Our server was very nice, but literally disappeared after our drink order. He finally took our food order, 2 hot dishes & 2 salads. The hot dishes came out about 15 minutes later and then we waited for 25 minutes until the 2 salad dishes were delivered. We had to ask twice to get the salads delivered. The hot dishes were cold. The waiter did not offer to heat them up, just said sorry. It was a full hour and fifteen minutes from sitting down to getting the salads delivered. The restaurant was maybe half full and I think it was a staffing problem. The manager came over and apologized, but did not remove anything from our bill. They gave us 2 free desserts which was nice, but we weren't going to order dessert. Needless to say, we will not be going back.
Had the best server, ask for Donnie he is the best definitely made our dinning experience amazing.
Overall, our experience was OK. The prime rib tacos were extremely cold when they were served and the waiter was stretched so thin that the rest of us had almost finished eating before he could check to see if the food was OK. There were no specials offered and the menu has not been updated in YEARS. The selection of beef entries is good and the rack of lamb is excellent, but the lack of a pork entry or a variety of fish, such as orange roughy or halibut is disappointing. The ambiance and view was wonderful, but until the food selection is expanded we will not be recommending the Odyssey to friends.
We are do or die fans of this place. Dinners, buffets are the greatest. This time not so much. First off, when we arrived the host was nowhere to be found, after about 10 minutes they arrived, all 3 of them, at once. Why was there no one at the check in desk? We were not the only ones waiting. Our waiter was Donny. He was so pleasant. Unfortunately, since customers at the check in desk were all seated in his area, he was slammed. Serving on so many tables at once is no picnic. I know my wife did this job of 5 years. There was not enough bussing staff to help the waiters clean tables off. We pride ourselves on being very laid back at a night out, so we did just that. We did not pressure Donny in anyway unnecessarily. He was as attentive as he could be and very nice. Now the food. Must have been a bad night for the sautéed mushrooms. Very bland and chewy. I believe in you Odyssey, I know you can do better.
We celebrated the 55th anniversary of our engagement made here in 1965. So the nostalgia was fine. Service, however, was extremely slow. Our waiter was fine.
Service was great excellent place love it
Thank you so much for choosing The Odyssey! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Falls a little short compared to Castaways, and there was a construction working inside the restaurant while we were eating which was not very professional, but the service and food was good so it made up for the unnecessary noise.
Beautiful view, some of the food was good and some still not fully cooked. Services was pleasant. Would like to try again
We had to wait longer than usual for a table.
The food for the Sunday Buffet seemed not as good as the last time we were there.
Did not havelamb shanks ,bagels and cream cheese. Had to wait almost 1/2 hour to take aseat .
Thank you for the time you have taken to share your experience. I'd like to apologize on behalf of the entire team for the disappointing food you received. Your feedback helps our team improve each day as we strive to deliver a Five Star experience to each and every guest.
Food and drink was excellent and fit for a good appetite. Quiet and suitable for a date.
It was my first time here and also my birthday dinner. I was so blessed to have a phenomenal waiter by the name of Donnie. He was very patient an attentive. Our drinks didn’t even have time to get low. I even had a issue with my meal I got the shrimp it was extremely to spicy for me. Now it could have just been my taste buds but it was so hot. He made a suggestion of the salmon which was great, extremely yummy. When I do come back I will definitely be asking for him. Sometimes you get one or the other great service or great food. We received great service, food, ambience and a outstanding birthday!
Donnie, the waiter, was amazing, he was really on it. I told him I wanted to impress him I guess because it was her birthday. He not only impressed her and her husband but he amazed them. The view the food the staff was amazing. Well done! I have been coming to the Odyssey for many years and this night they even made more special.
Thank you for your positive review! We are glad you enjoyed your visit with us and will be sure to pass your kind comments on to Donnie. We look forward to seeing you again!
Loved the view, the food was amazing and the service was excellent! Thank you!
Our server took a long time to take our orders, when he finally did the food took about 30 minutes and it arrived cold. Our server checked on our table maybe a total of 3 times for the 2.5 hours we were there. Refilled our drinks once.
The quality of the food has really declined. I had not been here in a few years and was surprised. The only seemingly good thing about this restaurant is the view.
Went to the Odyssey for champagne brunch to celebrate my mom's birthday. I hadn't been there since I was a kid and the food was much better than I remember! The buffet has everything from your standard breakfast food....eggs, bacon, omelet station, a carving station, a great salad bar, fresh salmon lox and all the fixins, seared tuna which was amazing, a seafood bar with shrimp, crab legs, and oysters, and then the desserts! YUM!! Our server was pretty attentive and our mimosas were rarely empty, which was nice! Overall, a great place for Sunday brunch with amazing views of the valley.
I hadn’t been to Odessey in a long time and it has changed for the worst. Appetizers were terrible. Service the worst. Server had no knowledge of wines or cheeses etc. Just overpriced food. Will never go back again.
I make a booking for an Anniversary, we arrived 30 minutes early since I had requested Window seating and wanted to allow ample time for this seating request. We still waited almost an hour beyond my reservation time. Also, they indicated as a Anniversary reservation we would get a special cake at the end of our meal, this did not happen, I mentioned it on the way out.
Was disappointed to be stuck in a dark, cold, no view, out of the way corner right by the kitchen. Our waiter did his best and was very kind; but out of sight out of mind. I don’t think I will return.
Food was okay, not worth the price.
I love this place, but their service was just completely terrible.
Valentines day dinner but it was day after so there should be no excuse. Food was so bad my party of 6 couldve gotten better food from fast food joint for way less everything tasted like it came out of a microwave. The waiter had no clue what he was doing. He was alll over the place. He poured coke into my ice tea. Every drink was so watered down literally i couldve hosted a better dinner at home with a bunch of hot pockets. If it wasnt for the view this place would be nothing.
Service and food were below par.
Reservation made two weeks in advance with window seating and arrived 30 mins early for reservation to allow time for requested window view seating. Asked to wait at the bar while window seating opened up, but was instead seated right away from the windows. Not five minutes later window booth opened up and was never asked if we wanted to take the requested seats.
Food was nothing special. We had the Odyssey Sample, Center Cut Filet Mignon, and NY Strip Steak. None were any better than any typical run-of-the-mill steakhouse.
Waiter was nice enough, but immediately after mentioning we had a raspberry allergy, dessert still showed up with raspberries...
Overall: Go for the view and ambiance, have a drink and an appetizer, and save your money.
Cramped window table. Back to back with the chairs and other patrons. We were given a folding table to sit at. Nowhere to comfortably put our legs. Gave up on getting the dishes cleared and just asked for the check. It's buffet food with a view of the valley.
The ambiance was great but the service was poor. The food was slightly over priced.
The Odyssey's valley views are one of a kind. We meet here as a central meeting point and we had an enjoyable time. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure our orders were taken quickly, delivered and still hot upon arrival. We were there for happy hour and were originally in the restaurant but moved to the bar after we noticed dust all over the tables and floors. We think they should have a cleaning crew come in and do a deep clean soon. Over all we did enjoy the sunset views and the corner window chat.
We celebrated a 76th birthday for a friend. She loved it. Everything was wonderful and the view was spectacular.
I had a really great time celebrating my mother in laws bday brunch. The food was great, the service was great, the view was great and couldnt be better!
Good food! Excellent service! Will come back again and will recommend to friends
Great views, fun cocktails, good to great food - many old stand bys but some fun stuff too. It's a restaurant you can count on. Recommend!
The service was extremely slow. After getting our drinks the server didn’t come get our food order for another 30 minutes and that’s only because we flagged him down. The calamari was very chewy, the mango habanero shrimp was ok could have been better, crab cakes were soggy on the inside and the mash potatoes just weren’t good at all. The lamb and short ribs were good. I wouldn’t go back based on the quality of the food for the price.
The food was fresh and very tasty. Our server, Ramon, was helpful, attentive and fun.
Donnie our server was awesome
Great service, very helpful & attentive waiter, excellent tasting food.
