Oggie’s at Hotel Metro
We were fans of c1880 and wanted to try the new restaurant he opened in the Hotel Metro. Many of the same items are on the new menu, plus some other interesting appetizers and entrees. We three enjoyed the experience eating inside, and a server was one we recognized from c1880. My husband had corn soup and the duck which he really liked, and I had salmon with elephant beans. Very tasty. Daughter had the gnocchi. Desserts were special-especially the" Watchamacallit". That dessert was served in a smaller bowl than we remembered, but the taste was the same. Awesome. Coffee was not hot enough, but they quickly made a new pot and it was steaming and satisfying with our desserts. Yes, we will be back soon. The new dining room is warm and inviting.
New restaurant opening in the middle of a pandemic.... well yes when Chef Hauck is at the helm. Patio dining was perfect. Service was awesome and the food was delightful. Go and enjoy yourself!
Awesome meal. The corn soup is next level. Every one of our starters and mains were fantastic. The ribeye was particularly excellent as was the steak tartare. Can’t say enough about the great hospitality provided by Aaron. He was top notch.
