OHK Bar & Restaurant
Food was amazing. The atmosphere and the place itself was incredible. After we ate we went out to take a walk on the grounds and they were gorgeous! Definitely will be coming back soon
When we arrived we were informed the the outside dining was closed. The hostess claimed that it was too windy in the courtyard. We were offered in a table in the dining room and given the dining room menu instead of the courtyard menu. Since we were celebrating a birthday it our party of four we decided to stay. The food was delicious, but it was a much more upscale menu than the courtyard menu. Dinner was much more expensive, and we were eating indoors instead of courtyard. Very unhappy that we were not informed prior to our arrival.
The only negative was having to wait 20 minutes past our Open Table reservation time. Because they were backed up, they opened up a private dining area and seated just us and one other couple in the room. Made for a very private and romantic dinner.
The chunky, crusty bread and special butter, parmesan, honey mousse to start was scrumptious. We split the Crab Cake and we were impressed by the size and flavor of this excellent appetizer. The Filet Mignon and accompanying sauce were outstanding and the Sea Bass (HUGE portion) was very good (a little well done). The Profiteroles for dessert were excellent, while the special Pumpkin Spice Latte (w/alcohol) was outstanding.
One of the most restaurants that my wife and I have ever been to.
Very good to excellent lunch experience at the outdoor Oheka Castle location.
I took my family for lunch there and so impressed with their food. We ordered lobster rolls, penne seafood, mussels and fried calamari. It’s so delicious especially with that amazing view out there. We can stroll around castle and garden after lunch. It’s great experience!
🙂 100% recomend
view was breathtaking, service was impeccable. definitely would recommend and return
Waiter was horrible!!!!! Never came to check on table or to get desert orders or deliver check
Kim was an excellent waitress. Lovely grounds.
The food was excellent but the service not, the hostess didn’t want to assign a table that was “reserved” but in all the time we were there was never used and there are no heaters
Great dining environment, safe and beautiful, the food is delicious
Would highly recommend this restaurant
What a beautiful venue! Met my cousins for lunch and we sat outside in the Courtyard/Terrace. The food was fabulous, although a little pricey for lunch. But the atmosphere made it worthwhile. I will be back.
One of the best restaurants in Long Island. The food was delicious, impressed with the Chef and the service was outstanding. The place is dreamy and with elegant and beautiful decor all around. Going there is a first class experience for sure but with a down to earth service. I highly recommend Oheka Castle if you want to have a special experience to remember.
Amazing food and service as usual. One of our favorite spots!
My first visit to Oheka Castle was certainly memorable. I treated my children and their spouses to an outstanding lunch and a lovely walk around the grounds. The service was impeccable and I will be happy to recommend your establishment to my friends.
We arrived earlier then the time of our reservation and the hostess was very flexible with seating us right away. We requested an outdoor seat on their patio under the moonlight and admits the ivy covered walls after hearing the beautiful live music being played on the electric violin. The menu was not over complicated and our server Anthony was attentive and helpful. He was however the house bartender and was therefore responsible for preparing all drinks as well as weighting tables which we found to be a bit confusing for a restaurant of this caliber. Nonetheless our food was prepared to perfection and left us reminiscing our dinners on our past trip to Italy. The owner Gary came out to speak with us to personally ensure that we were satisfied with our meal. We were later told that he had just come back from the hospital leaving us astounded as his level of dedication to the restaurant. Worth spending the extra dollar for the unforgettable experience to celebrate elegant date nights or special occasions!
Amazing place with Amazing food, amazing ambiance.
This place is very nice, and romantic. The food is good, the service is good however it still need some improvement. Waitress keep forget what we order, or deliver wrong order to us. The owner Gary is nice gentle. He comes by and talk to us. Overall it's nice place, and worth it. I will visit again next time.
Overall experience was excellent
A three and half hour meal for 3 course dinner NOT acceptable,
It took 40 minutes to get my first drink, and forty minutes to get my dessert,
At one point we did not see our waiter for two hours,
And When we asked about him his colleague told me he was too busy taking care of some other customer.
A beautiful place but an awful experience,
We will be back hoping next time will be better,,,,
Sincerely a very disappointed costumer,
We took our 8 year old granddaughter for her birthday. It was a magical day she said. Thank you
Excellent food and service,as well as, ambiance. We truly enjoyed the whole outdoor eating experience!
This was our first visit to the Castle. I initially was not comfortable with the receptionist but once I was in the dinning room itself my apprehension immediately disappeared. Our waitress Giselle (PHN) was wonderful and the food was excellent we will be returning in the near future. We highly recommend this venue.
I love the dining area, and it's beautiful. Very quiet.
The food was good but could be better. I ordered the filet mignon with medium-rare. However, the one that they served me was medium-well. Soon they replaced the one for me, and it came out perfect. My friend ordered the chicken breast and penne seafood. I didn't try the chicken breast, but it looked juicy and tender.
The server was friendly, and the service was excellent and helpful.
There was some dirty dots in the table cloth but acceptable.
Service was spotty.
Appetizers were cold.
Not a great time in comparison to other times we have been there.
Beautiful location and great service. Staff was very nice!
Went for lunch with friends. Outdoor seating was wonderful. Miguel was our waiter and he was excellent. The owner Gary came by our table to ask if everything was okay. Overall had an enjoyable time.
Beautiful venue with well spaced tables. Service was great. Food was excellent with the exception of the cheesecake which was inedible (tasted like unsweetened mortar).
Beautiful location and delicious food!
Who could ask for anything more?
Good dinning atmosphere and good food. A bit expensive even with respect to other comparable fine dinning restaurants in Long Island. Service is good and friendly. Very much impressed when the owner himself (Gary) met us with a 'friendly hello' and the reliable gesture like 'good night, come back again' by the car parking attendant who even showed us the beautiful lobby at main entrance to take photographs. If you want to treat your special guests on any special occasions this is the place. Enjoy.....
Our first outing since the pandemic and it was our first outing with the little one so we were kind of nervous but we had a wonderful experience. Upon arriving the castle you need to show your reservation at the gate or you can’t enter the property’s The castle was beautiful of course and the restaurant was spacious. Most part seemed to be closed off due to the pandemic and probably because it’s a private property. The restaurant had high ceiling and the seatings were well distanced which is something we like the most. The most restaurants that I’ve seen had the seating pretty close together. The menu can be found through the QR code so there is minimal contact. I got a penne seafood it was okay. my husband got the angus burger and he loved it. the meat was cooked just right and it was juicy. Our waitress was thoughtful and considerate. My little one fell asleep in my arms towards the end of the meal and the waitress was very careful taking away the dishes so it wouldn’t make any noise to wake the baby. The overall we had a great dining experience.
The best part of our luncheon was the ambience. The huge room was beautiful with a wonderful view of the gardens. The food was mediocre. My friend had the burrito and said it was bland with oily French fries. 2 of us had the lobster salad and it was ok, but not special. The wine pour was minimal. The service and staff were busy but good. My overall opinion was that for the price and locale the food could have been better.
The waitress was wonderful!
The manager stopped at every table & he was very nice
The grounds were beautiful!
Amazing food and wonderful service It’s getting cold to eat outside so heaters are needed otherwise it was a 10.
Unfortunately have nothing good to say about our Sunday brunch..very disappointed the food was not at all worth the $100/pp price. Nothing lavish or unique. The room was as if we were at a banquet spread out very far apart to walk between food stations. Cold, hard bacon, pre-packaged cereals, mediocre crepes and eggs Benedict. Not worth a second helping if anything. I guess only good thing was we were very socially distant in a big, cold room.
My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. It was our first time dining here and the experience and view was amazing! We spent about an hour touring and taking pictures of the views. We weren’t rushed and was able to savor everything. We will definitely be back!
Had a great time. Wonderful staff food was good and reasonable prices
I called a day before to have champagne on the table ready because it was a big anniversary. They told us they would have it sit when we arrived. Champagne was never there. Waiting staff was nice but unorganized.
Outdoor dining on the second floor terrace overlooking parking lot, lovely setting and lovely view. But it has to be tricky servicing that area. Went with two other couples. Two of us had lobster salad and it was good, but unmemorable. Two had chicken which both people said was very good, although on the menu it was listed as chicken cutlet and it was a thigh and leg. Two others had seafood with pasta. Never raved about it; one person said seafood was overcooked and only slightly warm when it was received. Service was there when we needed it, but nothing special. Would recommend only because, pre-pandemic, we have had great lunches there and the atmosphere is lovely for outdoor dining. We were given 10% discount, without question, due to a previous reservation being cancelled due to the restaurant having been short on staff.
