"The name Ombrellino comes from the Italian word for a small umbrella and carries both a literal and symbolic meaning. The main idea is the classic Italian summer atmosphere, where people sit outside under umbrellas, enjoying food and long conversations.

At the same time, the umbrella also works as a metaphor for comfort and protection. The idea is that when people enter the restaurant, they can leave their stress outside, feel welcomed and feel protected from the "rain" of everyday life without getting wet. The restaurant follows a neo-traditional Italian style, combining authentic Italian dishes in a modern and minimal aesthetic’’

                                                      The restaurant is comfortable, warm and relaxing. The staff, although young ,are efficent and polite. We were a group of 4. All were satisified with the starters but the mains were acceptable but not special. Two had a dessert, tiramisu, which they enjpyed. We shared a bottle of red wine which was excellent. Prices were high for Uttoxeter. Pizzas started at £18 which is very expensive for a product with simple low price ingredients. May try again in a few minths time as it is still esrly days for the establishment.

                                                      The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour and clearly prepared with care. It’s those little personal touches that make a place feel special. We had such a lovely time and can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend!

                                                      There was 4 of us but only 2 of us got starters when 4 were ordered and myself and one guest had finished before asking twice for the other 2 starters . The meal I had was way too greasy and oily it was floating in oil made me feel quite sick . Venue nice but the service snd food need attention ! I brought guests for a birthday celebration that I entered onto the booking but no acknowledgement of that !

                                                      We loved the restaurant, very busy, great ambience Service very good The food was excellent, only complaint was we felt the sea bass fillet was rather on the small side - some restaurants would serve two fillets if they were that small? But overall experience- we would return if in Uttoxeter

                                                      Always eaten at Mario's but was pleasantly surprised. The ambience was wonderful all round it was a nice experience. The beef regularly was wonderful, the sea bass delicious but too many roast potatoes and not enough vegetables. Price wise a bit steep but we had a wonderful night. Please use a Grappa glass and not a large glass spirit was lost . Thank you for a great night.

                                                      Superb food, service and atmosphere. Reminds me very much of eating at great restaurants in Rome, it's the authentic Italian experience. Highly recommended!
