On North, Eatery and Bar
Excellent food and service. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner. Highly recommend.
Had lunch before going to Strand Theater! Food was delish. Two of us had the crab cake sandwich that was amazing. Everything fresh and beautifully presented. My other friend loved her meal too but I’m pulling a blank right now on what she ended up getting. But everyone was happy! Will be back!
Food was outstanding! Had the special which was Blackened Parrot Fish.
This was our first visit and loved it! The salmon dish was one of the best I have ever had. My friend had the snapper and it was delicious! The place was packed and energetic . The only complaint was that it was very loud and hard to hear. But we will be going back! Great spot to dine at the Marietta Square!
Great food, service has gotten better, very loud. I would suggest doing away with the live music, place is too small for a that.
Waiter didn’t seem interested and did not tell guest that there were cost to substitute items in the main course
Sitting toward the rear we never heard the music
I visited twice, once for lunch and dinner. Great service( Katie), food, and music. The manager was accommodating. Our group of five will be repeat customers. Nice gluten free pizza and would like to see GF bread offered .
This is the best restaurant on the Marietta Square and in the general area. The interior renovation of this old building is beautiful!! The entire staff was very attentive and first class. No slackers working in this well run restaurant. Have been here numerous times and the food is always amazing.
The restaurant was way too noisy making it difficult to carry on a conversation with friends. There were too many tables crammed in so that the waitress had a very difficult time just getting to our table. The food was good but not sure if it was that good that I would go back. Really wanted to like it since it was on Marietta Square.
Really good menu! Noise level was a little loud but no enough to affect the experience. We will definitely go back again.
It was an excellent Valentines with great live music and great food
We had Valentine's day dinner here. This was our first visit. We were seated promptly, though in the far back. I would have like to be able to enjoy the live music. Our waiter had a general rushed feeling about him, but it was a busy night. Our appetizers we both amazing (bang bang shrimp and risotto balls with a tomato jam). My steak came out rare even though I had ordered medium. My wife had a lemon chicken which was quite good. All in all it was very nice. The manager stopped by as we were leaving and he was very pleasant. We will definitely go back here again!
Good food, but pretty expensive.
This was my first visit and I was totally surprised. It's a great space which significantly increases the appeal of dinning on the square.
Food was very good. Ambiance was missing. Well, actually the front part of the restaurant had a neat vibe and style. Then we were taken to our reserved table in the back - white walls, plain. The only thing breaking up the plainness - 2 TV’s.
If you’re just looking for very good food I highly recommend.
Excellent service. Went for Valentine's Day and they had limited menu. Looking forward to revisit for the full experience.
Really great addition to the Square!! Excellent food, service, live music! Everything was outstanding that we’ve had so far.
The 4 of us loved everything about the night - the food, the service, the great care of the staff (thanks, Kaitlin and manager John!) We all tried something different and everything from drinks to appetizers to entrees to desserts was spot on. Prices seemed reasonable, as well, with each couple paying about $100 (before tip) for a drink before dinner, a shared appetizer, an entree each, wine with dinner, a shared dessert and a coffee.
I just did recommend it to a friend! We had a lovely time! I had hesitated making a reservation because some other reviewers had indicated it was very noisy and my husband hates that. We were there on a Saturday night, the rest was full, we sat in the back area but we had no issue with noise and had a wonder meal and evening talking with our friends and enjoying the ambiance!
As often is the case for new restaurants in Marietta, the place was packed. The seating in the dining area is kind of close, but not claustrophobic. The place is pretty loud, especially with the music in the front of the house. The food was very good and our server was attentive and efficient. I would prefer the lighting not be so bright in the dining area. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the music. The crowd was very enthusiastic and there was a lot of dancing going on up front near the bar. It was fun.
Menu variety very good. Lower end wines decent. Pork chop and snapper dry but chicken and salmon moist. Very accommodating to hearing issues however place is very noisy
I had reserved seating for 12 for my wife’s birthday dinner.
We were seated promptly, drink orders were taken and served promptly and entrees orders were taken and served promptly.
I had dropped off my wife’s birthday cake a few hours earlier and it was served promptly at the end of dinner.
Erik was our server and he did a marvelous job.
We had an excellent experience tonight!
Good food, service, drinks and atmosphere. Glad I made a reservation because there was a long wait as we arrived on a Saturday night. Definitely going to be a repeat costumer.
Jovan is an excellent server. Had the grouper special, good. the crostini was very good but small we could have had one each.
Great food and atmosphere! Right next door to the Strand Theater. Perfect for dinner or drinks before a show.
We had a great experience at On North. The food was delicious and our server was fantastic. We will definitely go back.
Food was fantastic! Service was wonderful! Noise level was terrible.
Can you please add the chicken sandwich on your lunch menu to your dinner menu.
Dinner with family...fried goat cheese and bang bang shrimp for appetizer. Don’t miss the fried chocolate lava cake!! Best I’ve ever had!
Great short rib special. Good music.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and music. I liked that we could hear the music, but it wasn’t too overwhelming or loud. Our appetizer was delicious, but my husband said his fish tacos had no flavor and my shrimp diavolo was good, but not worth the price, in my opinion. I did appreciate the creme brûlée that was brought out for my birthday. Over all, it was an ok experience.
Great service. Food was wonderful. Good drinks and good wine selection.
The three of us met to have lunch. Our waiter was great, food was great, great bar service. We have been here several times since the restaurant opened and enjoyed everything, but usually commented on the loudness. On our visit today, the manager mentioned that others had given feedback on the sound levels and they were installing sound absorbing panels based on customer feedback! I am already planning to meet other friends for lunch this upcoming week.
This restaurant is a great addition to the eateries on the Square. Great menu, great wait staff and great bar service. It is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
My husband and I decided at the last minute to go out for a quick dinner. We thought we would try a new place in Marietta Square. It was a cold Tuesday night and On North was quite busy, which we took as a good sign. We were seated right away and our waitress was very prompt and friendly. We ordered cocktails and they were perfectly made and delivered fairly quickly. My husband ordered the special, which was red snapper with a mushroom orzo, and it was amazing! I ordered the cheese burger with fries, and it was also delicious. Our meals arrived in record time, which surprised us, but was fine. I had ordered my burger without the tomato jam and it came with the jam on the burger. The waitress apologized immediately and insisted on getting me another burger. ( I do not like to send food back but in this case, it was done quickly and correctly.) We will definitely recommend On North to our friends and family and we will definitely go back.
We were hoping for a better experience but from the first cocktail to the dinner it was a disappointment. They were either our of what we ordered or what we did order was nor great, either way a disappointing experience. I don't think we'll even give it another try.
As the newest restaurant on the Marietta square, this one is already a top contender for me. It has a great menu, solid wine list and the service is superb. I would highly recommend any of the dishes as they as fit for a Foodie!
Very pleasant experience. Did not give 5 stars because they were out of our first choice for dinner and then also ran out of the wine I was drinking. We thoroughly enjoyed the fish tacos (not our first choice) and the Sweet Thang salad. Bread pudding for dessert was excellent. The band and bar are right at the front where you enter creating a traffic jam. And, there doesn’t appear to be a host stand making checking in a mystery. The roving host/hostess seems to find you but it’s an awkward setup.
Wonderful addition to the square. Food was great, plenty of menu options, great service, having a reservation helped! A fun time. The only con for me was very loud. Hard to talk to friends at your table.
Will be back!!
Kristy was great. Food was great and the Old Fashiones was superb!
Great food, location , and atmosphere. Will defiantly return.
