Orchestria Palm Court
Phenomenal experience! Great service! Music was awesome
Great experience, awesome service and delicious food.
Our first trip out in seven months. Glad to support a local business. It’s been a while since we last came and enjoyed the player pianos. Food was delicious, staff gracious and kind.
Great place the self playing pianos made it really fun. The food was very good.
We've been going to OPC every three months for the past three years. It's still one of our absolute favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and the music box interior is always fun.
We very much enjoyed our dinner and loved the many pianos and musical instruments that played all around us.
Last month we LOVED our food but this month the pork was dry as swell as the salmon. We were a little disappointed but will give it another try.
I had heard about Orchestria from several people and wanted to try it. It was a lot of fun and definitely a unique experience! Food was mediocre to very good—based on comments at dinner from my guests. I will absolutely come here again if I am looking for someplace special.
Wonderful entertaining warm and friendly. The food is excellent too.
Very good food, and a really cool experience with all the pianos and music boxes. They have an interesting ordering process, since there aren’t any waiters, but it never posed much of a problem.
Fantastic setting, great food, wonderful people / service. A hidden gem in the middle of San Jose and next to The Stage theater. Going back soon for a dinner and theater.
Loved how all the player pianos played our background music..... never overpowered our table conversation!
We had been waiting a long time to eat here and we were not disappointed. I would go back in a second. My Roasted Pork was delicious and our friends had the salmon and also loved it. The goulash was a little spicy for my husband but still liked it.
Great evening out with friends for the holidays. Very fun and unique ambience. Really enjoyed the drinks and the malt milk shake!
The food variety is good and portions ample. More comfort type food than gourmet, but the cooks do a good job with presentation and the prices are reasonable. Pleasant decor in old refurbished building full of player pianos and record players. The player pianos have a pleasant selection of music but it is much too loud for this restaurant of few soft noise absorbent surfaces making it difficult to converse except between songs when the music rotates from one device to another. The service is difficult to evaluate because one must order dinner at the bar. But the owners and staff are pleasant and dinner comes quickly once ordered.
Fantastic place, great food! Magnificent automated music machines and a beautiful ambiance of 1920’s American History
Paid $30 for a steak dinner I could have easily paid double for at a steakhouse. My husband had the goulash which was great and only lacked salt. The ordering situation was a little different (you order and pay at the bar) considering how nice the ambience was, but didn’t detract from the experience. We will definitely be back.
Service was great, enjoyed our meal. My husband and I have been wanting to try the restaurant for sometime and we will try it again. 😊
The best ambience of any restaurant in the South Bay.
We decided to eat at this restaurant because it was conveniently located next door to the Stage theater where we were attending a show. The food and ambiance were decent. For some reason, we were seated at a card table rather than a regular table. I thought that was a little tacky and odd since we did make reservations well in advance. The card table was wobbly and lower than the height of a regular table, which made it difficult to enjoy our meal. It was also located near an entrance so patrons were constantly coming in the door and squeezing past our table. In addition, while the food was good, I thought that it was a bit expensive for what you received. The restaurant also automatically adds a 15% gratuity to the bill for what I would call very subpar service. One is required to get up from your table and place your order at the bar. This was not was I was expecting from an establishment charging finer restaurant prices. In summary, I will opt for another restaurant next time we are in the area.
Orchestria Palm Court is a unique experience, that we thoroughly enjoyed. We arrived early (before they opened at 5:45 pm) and they opened the door. We had our choice of tables since we were the first people to arrive, they informed us that a large group was due at 6, so we could get our order in before they arrived. The cheese plate, salmon and chicken saltimbocca were all very good. The whole wheat profiteroles were just okay, next time we’ll try a different dessert. All in all we enjoyed it and will return, it was a great find in downtown San Jose.
We regularly visit Orchestria Palm Court whenever we're seeing a show nearby. It's a great venue with great food and a different dining experience. The self-playing musical instruments and are quite a treat.
Orchestria Palm Court is a hidden gem. It's jammed on a side street in San Jose's Arts District. Looks like a car repair shop on the outside. Inside is a different story. You feel like you are eating in a pre-WW1 restaurant. Everything about it is fun. But wait.... a place like this must have terrible food, right? Wrong! The food is great! So.... maybe it is super expensive. Wrong again. It isn't cheap, but it is way less than neighboring restaurants that serve indifferent food.
Nice surprise spot. Unique experience with all the player pianos and mechanical musical instruments and decor. And the food was great. Too many interesting choices, have to go again!
Orchestria Palm Court is a rare gem: a red brick raw walls interior lined with player pianos and Alphons Mucha prints and a restaurant serving old world food. You order at the counter, but the food is brought to your table, then you pay at the counter again - the beauty of their system is you don't need to calculate tax or tip, it is all included in you tally! The food is cooked from fresh organic, locally sourced ingredients, and that's what it tastes like. We had the two specials: salmon and pork. The salmon came with quinoa and a citrus-y sauce, very delicate and succulent. The roasted pork was accompanied by a mustard sauce, which complemented the meat perfectly, and green beans with just the right crunch to them, plus purple mashed potatoes - their creaminess was divine. I didn't have wine this time, but usually I order the house red, which is full-bodied and rich.
I have been to OPC lots of times, and their old-world charm is always a hit with friends I bring along. I have had several specials before, all of which were excellent, and then, of course, the Spätzle and Gulasch! Yumm. Substantial Spätzle covered in a meaty gulasch - a treat specially on an autumn day!
Orchestria is a sweet old school style restaurant with numerous antique player pianos as decor. The food is reasonably priced from a limited menu. I had the surf and turf for $29. The lobster was really good, the steak had gristle so I didn't appreciate that so much.
The establishment has a fun and friendly atmosphere. I'd go back and bring the kids.
Unique, fun, and, well prepared food from quality ingredients. Combination of counter ordering with table service by friendly staff.
Unique experience - great food. Excellent date night choice.
Wonderful food and staff! The player pianos make it feel as if you've stepped back in time. Good experience.
This place has a fascinating ambience! Self playing violins and pianos! Old timey bar and menu. And the drinks - straight from the 1900s. Tip is included in the price and you walk up to the bar to pay and I found this the most non hassle restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The goulash was phenomenal.
We went to Orchestria Palm Court for our anniversary dinner prior to attending Wicked at San Jose Performing Arts Center. Our expectations were exceeded! It's a quaint and unique experience that you will not get anywhere else. The owner and other staff were personable and accommodated my food request for substitutions. The portion size was spot on and the bill was reasonable. We will be returning!!!
Great Place! Unique, excellent food and service. We feel lucky to discover Orchestria Palm Court and it's tucked away in a San Jose location that many might not venture to but it is well worth it (we ubered from our Hotel for $7). The specials were tasty and the people friendly. The old-time antique player pianos surrounded us and the building must be a historical landmark.
Great food, unique ambience. Our second time here in 3 months and they did not disappoint.
Just a great place for good food and music. We will go back.
An outstanding and eclectic place with delicious food and fantastic service.
We were immediately impressed by the atmosphere and staff. The player pianos and juke box, music box collection was spectacular ! We found it charming, cozy with delicious food and very good service! You order food at the counter and then everything is served at your table.
I found this restaurant quite by accident and was so thrilled with the find! A truly unusual Dijon experience’
Awesome ambiance! Great atmosphere!
Very good food. Ambiance was very unique. Hard working staff.
The food was good and we loved the antique music players that played while we were eating. Plus they have a full ice cream soda fountain.
This a great restaurant . The food was very good and the ambiance was super. The owners were very nice. I hope I can go back around the holidays!
