   Every bite was a delight for the senses, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. What truly set this restaurant apart was the exceptional service. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. Overall, I can confidently say that Orsa & Winston is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.

   The experience was superb. We were celebrating a birthday and they made it special without being overbearing.The server gave a great wine recommendation and we were given many gifts throughout the meal.The standouts were the salad, pasta, scallops and dessert for us. The ambiance is nice and romantic for a date; it’s quiet but not too quiet where you can hear other conversations. Parking structure close by as well. I would definitely go back.

    We could barely hear the waiter (he mumbled and rushed) as he described each dish, so when we ate the food it wasn’t very intriguing given that it was a tasting menu. Overall the food was ok, but definitely missing seasoning and salt. For $500 for 2 people it was NOT worth it. We left disappointed for sure.

    Food was mediocre and lacked depth of flavor. It was truly underwhelming for a Michelin-rated restaurant. The ambiance feels weirdly sterile and the noise from the kitchen and other diners really impedes conversation with your party. Service was okay, one dish was made in error and there was no apology made. Take your money elsewhere.

    We came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Unfortunately, nothing felt or tasted Michelin about this place. The service was also quite disappointing because the servers had little to no knowledge on drink recommendations and they rarely smiled. We were all looking forward to trying the Satsuki Rice with uni and trout roe, however, the fact that this dish was on their standard course menu and they changed this to an “optional supplemental course” for a $35 add on was very disappointing. For a restaurant that is known for this dish, they shouldn’t have changed this to an optional add on course. For spending over $700 for three people, it was definitely not worth the price and for a 20% service charge added onto the bill, the service was under par. Save yourself the trouble and money and go somewhere else.

    Went to celebrate my birthday, and every single dish was exceptional. Highlights were the soup and the seafood porridge, but everything was fantastic. The restaurant is comfortable, and service is skilled and personable. Highly recommend.

    Really underwhelming and predictable. Way too much fat in each dish with no relief of acid or salt. Not good and certainly not worth the price. Go anywhere else before here.

    The food was spectacular. Every dish thoughtfully and expertly crafted. The wine pairing was fantastic with all organic wines from unique regions of Europe. The sommelier was great and knowledgeable and eager to explain what we were drinking. He even provided us with a list of the wines at the end of our meal so we could purchase them on our own. We will be going back for sure. 10/10.

    One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Well-deserved Michelin Star (in my humble non-professional opinion). Wonderfully unique and thought-out menu. Every course was taste-bud-opening. Flavours worked well together and nothing was overbearing. Really allowed us to taste the ingredients for what they are in harmony. Cozy atmosphere + warm, welcoming staff (thank you for explaining the fascinating history and origins of the restaurant and Chef Josef Centeno!) allows Orsa & Winston to shed the “uptight fanciness” that is unfortunately often associated with Michelin Star or high quality restaurants. Can’t wait to revisit the next time I’m in Los Angeles again.

    I take all bad reviews for Michelin restaurants with a grain of salt - it's nearly always due to people not actually wanting to pay the price of a luxury. This was easily one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food was absolutely exceptional. The service was even better. I'm a person with severe allergies and have had issues in the past of servers not knowing what allergens were present in dishes, or chefs refusing to accommodate, even with advance notice. Not so at Orsa & Winston. I was not only accommodated beautifully, I was told exactly what changes were made so I had peace of mind. My glass - neither water nor wine - was ever empty over the two or so hours we dined. We were served smaller plates between courses, but five courses was more than enough to feel full. Logistically: there is a parking lot easily accessible across the street for those driving - those saying it's a "particularly rough area" have perhaps never been to a major city before. It's actually one of the nicer streets of DTLA in my opinion, having lived here for many years. All in all - well worth the cost of luxury. Star well earned.

    A few dishes were amazing...like mind melting good. A few that were bland or a miss. Service is great, but the overall ambience feels sterile unfortunately which was the biggest issue.

    Delicious food and service. Seafood porridge was excellent. There was a few complimentary dishes that we enjoyed. Loved sitting at the chef’s table and watching the preparation of the food. Chefs and servers made everything seem effortless. Would definitely recommend.
