We were excited to try this place after seeing their homemade pastas and promising reviews online. However after arriving for our reservation, we waited 10 minutes before anyone even helped us check in. From there it was an additional 10 minutes of waiting in the cold to be seated and when we were seated no one came to take our order for a long time. Food came quickly but was very lackluster. We decided the ravioli from Trader Joe’s was better than what we received. Overall, the wait staff was not attentive, and the food was nothing special. We unfortunately will not be returning.

Great place, I am not sure if it’s pane caldo or same chef!! But definitely a hidden treasure!!! The calamari with the lemon sauce superb!!! The bronzino and fruita de Mari pasta excellent. Our waiter was George and Lucas dinamic duo!!

It was very cold inside..the waiter said due to the pandemic and a city ordinance they couldn’t turn on the heat inside so we dined in our coats. The waiter was not attentive, we got the 1st glass of water and then not another pour. Our wine glasses had a film(so I drank through a straw), the waiter checked on us only once while we ate and then he arbitrarily added the gratuity to our bill which he removed per my request. The food was just ok, certainly not worth a return visit. They also gave my kids broken crayons to use on the paper table covering and a used coloring book during Covid. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with the service/dining experience and the fact that the waiter just added the almost $30 tip onto the bill felt sneaky and underhanded especially since there was no notice stating gratuity would be automatically added due to the holiday as he tried to say. And the fact that he removed it proved it wasn’t their “policy” he just thought he’d get away with it.

They were kind and nice all the time. They accommodate us and all our needs.

This was a good restaurant, dimly lit and the food was good but nothing special. I had the gnocchi and it was a little too squishy for my liking (even for gnocchi). The burrata and prosciutto appetizer was way smaller than anticipated (just the cheese, a lot of prosciutto was given). Overall a good restaurant but I wouldn’t write home about it.

We come about once a week. We love the calamari but it changed and was over cooked. Chewy. One of the main reasons we come. Also the bruschetta was very bland. The bread did not seem homemade and there was only a few drops of the balsamic. Had the gnocchi. Sauce had several pieces of small bone and grizzle. Sort of disappointing.

First time here. A Gold Coast gem. Everything was outstanding. Will definitely go back and enjoy the beautiful dining room once we’re allowed to.

Food was fantastic overall and service was great. The butternut squash soup was just okay and bland but everything else was terrific! Love the cheese wheel and will be back when we are in Chicago for sure!

This place was great! Some of the best Osso Bucco I've ever had. Good food, good wine, good ambiance. Will go back again!

Great hidden gem just west of Michigan Ave. my girlfriends and aunt spent hours there with plenty of wine and delicious small plates

We ate outside. Lots of street noise and poor ambiance. Food and service were as usual very good except for the host who was difficult relative to seating options for a couple.

Our server George was incredible! Very personable and made our special night even better.

They put us at a horrible table on the street all by our selves. Did not stay. Left and went to Bistronomic where the experience was much better.

The host was very accommodating in our seating requests. Our server was great in suggesting reasonably priced wines by the glass to accompany our meals. The white wine suggestion, a Pecorino, is a new favorite. We we return!

Overall a very nice experience! I’d recommend this restaurant to family and friends. Staff in particular was great.

Fruit flies were UNBEARABLE

It was overall Awsome! We just happened to be seated my a couple that didn’t know how loud they were talking! It totally was disruptive and disrespectful. They need to know their audience! Other than that, the experience was perfect!

I live in the neighborhood and for some reason have never tried it before but decided to avoid the Rush street scene. Food was very good. We were not rushed in and out and it was relaxing. Our server Julia was outstanding: attentive and fun but not intrusive. I will be returning.

it was okay, but, not great. the pasta was almost hard and the bruschetta was not good at all. the bread was also not good. there are better italian restaurants in chicago

They call themselves the best Italian restaurant in Chicago and they are right! The service was excellent and the food was just outstanding. We got the calamari, spaghetti and meatballs, and gnocchi. They make the pasta fresh in house and it is evident. The patio is nice with a cool view of the Hancock building.
