Osteria was absolutely amazing! From the food, service, to quality of ingredients. The owner was very welcoming and created a comfortable ambiance. Great conversationalist and personality. The food was as authentic as Italian cuisine can get. The pastas were cooked to perfection. You could really taste the ingredients in the food. By far one of the BEST Italian restaurants in Chicago. Can't wait to go back!

Unbelievable meal. Fabulous wine. The owner, chef, and staff are some of the nicest and most attentive people I’ve ever met. This has quickly become my favorite spot in chicago. If you want an experience that takes you across the ocean to a quaint Sicilian village town with tastes that exhibit the city’s multi-cultural past I recommend you come to Osteria Rusticana.

Our favorite Italian place. Delicious food (anything pistachio on the menu is our favorite) and the best customer service. They go above and beyond and it shows. Great for special occasions or just some delicious weeknight Italian food. Outdoor seating is in a heated tent that was very comfortable, even on a cold night.

Reliable, very good place. Friends we have taken have also always been very impressed.
They're doing the best possible to keep operating in COVID conditions.

Great food, within a great space. Large patio (vital during Covid). This used to be Nando Milano and was rebranded, and has the same owner/manager (Luca) who is originally from Sicily (as are a lot of the staff). Try the Cacio e Pepe - it's difficult to do well and they have succeeded with flying colours, but everything here is good so you cant go wrong. They also have a Vermentino di Sardegna which is always welcome in my book!

Fresh, original home made Italian, with unique ingredients. Best arancini anywhere! Warm and welcoming staff always make you feel at home. Don't forget to have a taste of the delicious Limoncello to end your meal!

Dinning at Osteria Rusticana is like dinning at your grandma's house. Food is fresh and authentic. Wine selection is amazing and the host makes you feel at home. We go there at least twice a month. *Best fried calamari on earth. LOVE IT!

What a phenomenal little find. The food was absolutely incredible and the service was top notch. I recommend ANY of their risotto dishes. We also enjoyed their tiramisu as well as their nutella mousse. The Nutella mousse was to die for.

Osteria is consistently one of our favorite places in the neighborhood, and we almost always bring visiting guests to show it off. Excellent, traditional Southern Italy and Sicilian fare, extremely friendly service, and reasonable prices on exquisite meals. The specials rotate often, and are always worth looking at. Most recently I ordered a seafood risotto, and every single bite had some form of shellfish on it, be it scallop, mussel, or shrimp. they certainly did not skimp on the good stuff. They don't hold back on making sure every dish is a memorable one.

Osteria Rusticana brought me back to Italy! The food, wine and service were outstanding. Our appetizer was the Burrata with homemade focaccia bread, my meal was the Tagliatelle Rusticana with hand made pasta, sausage and white wine sauce. This entree was as if it was made in a farmhouse in Sicily with fresh ingredients and sturdy pasta. Our party of four also had Bucatini Cacio e Pepe (served in a parmesan bowl), Rigatoni al Ragu Siciliano (traditional ragu sauce), and Paccheri Amalfi (with an amazing pistachio sauce). Will definitely be back to this restaurant !

The staff with Luca and Umberto make you feel like you are in Italy. Best Italian food in the city and will go back at least once a week and recommend this place to everyone I know

Wow just wow! The ambiance is so beautiful, and it was a full moon the night I went which added to the atmosphere. My server was so insightful and assisted me in choosing a lovely seafood pasta that was phenomenal. Their drinks are also Tres yum! The manager came around checking on guests and I found that very refreshing. Overall, if you’d like a delicious meal, and great service, please give this place a chance!

I made reservations for Osteria Rusticana for a friend/date night and was absolutely blown away by the experience. I made a same day reservation on open table for 9, for a party of 5 and called ahead of time to let them know we were running late. They were super understanding and had no issues with us running behind. The server, Luca, was so welcoming and helpful. He explained the menu, recommended all of his favorites and an amazing bottle of wine. The food was absolutely outstanding, from the homemade pasta, the fresh sea food and delicious Gelato! I would 100% recommend. I’d you like cozy restaurant with fresh food, try Osteria!

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner in Osteria Rusticana's lovely outdoor space! We started with our favorite Arancini for an appetizer, deliciously crispy outside with flavorful fillings. For entrees, we chose the Rigatoni Ragu, the Paccheri Amalfi, and the Veal Limone special, all bursting with delicious and seasonal flavors. We ended with pistacio panna cotta, lemon ice and semifreddo. We love Osterias's rotating menu with an emphasis on quality and fresh ingredients. The welcoming staff complete the experience, making you feel like one of the family from the moment you arrive.

This is a sweet little Italian restaurant that reminds of a New York spot. If you can believe I went here and am not a fan of carbs and had an amazing meal. I had the salad which was simple but good but my favorite thing was the fish special, yum! The fish was perfect with a savory sauce. Our server was so amazing and fun and made us feel like we were VIPs. I highly recommend this spot.

Fresh ingredients make this place worth the trip. Everything we had was excellent. Dessert is a must here.
