Awesome place for chilling out with friends and great portion of delicious food for brunch!
The food was good but the service was horrible. Second time coming there so very disappointed by the rude and inattentive service. We had a great experience the first time so we were looking forward to a repeat visit. Will not be returning.
Love that there’s a veggie option for most every dish on the menu. Food was fantastic, drinks were delicious. Server was awesome. Had a great time.
Its simple, this place has awesome German food, great selection of beers, awesome service with smile and patience.
I wanted to like Otto's bierhalle, but it was just OK. Service was so-so, from the 5 minute wait to be seated when the place is less than half full, to the explanation of the beers (there's a lot so it takes a minute to wrap your head around that many options). We had the Octoberfest platter ($49) which was 4 sausages (all very good), a mountain of tasty fries, some light and delicious sauerkrout (too little unfortunately) , various pickles (hit & miss) & mustard selection.
All in for 2 people with 2 beers each, we raked up a $100 bill, which felt a bit steep for what we got.
If a friend wanted to meet there, i wouldn't object too loudly, but it's not like i'm the one who'd recommend Otto.
This is one of the best restaurant which I have ever tried before! Best food! Best beer! And Best service!
Food was delicious (great fries!!), our server was lovely, the beer was great (of course). It was a little loud (the windows were open so street sounds were spilling in), but I feel that is a standard setting in a bierhalle! Maybe not ideal for a first date but do not miss the chance to experience!
First time at Otto's and was impressed with the food, drink choices and overall service!
EXCELLENT! We will return!
Wheat beer should be served in wheat beer glasses to taste right. Schnitzel was good for the price. Mushroom sauce is interesting but certainly not an authentic German mushroom gravy. Potato salad was different and nobody in Germany would eat it. Some improvement required on the later two.
Food was good and good beer selection.
Shweinhaxe as delicious as always! See you again in the Fall.
Great night. The Octoberfest Feast was so huge and delicious. Really a great place for a family dinner.
Delicious as usual! But I miss the Brussels sprouts. and the fennel and citrus salad!
Overall a very fun place. Quick service at bar or table, servers well trained and know their stuff. Lots of beers on tap for any palate, including a good dose of IPAs and sours. Many interesting bottles as well.
This place is losing food quality. Service is terrible everytime I go. The waiters have so much attitude and seem to hate their jobs.
Delicious brunch! Love the schnitzel and waffles
Good food, good service, love the vibes at this place!
Absolutely delicious food, great service, great beer selection. Could use AC.
Horrible place. Their indoor seating was not indoors at all and they had no air conditioning. It was sweltering “in there” on one of the hottest days in Toronto so far. They have a windowless restaurant which made it incredibly uncomfortable for eating and sitting there. The food is not good either, had the schnitzel and it tasted very odd - almost sour like. Would not recommend and would never go back.
No AC?? What’s that about
Food good but pricey for what it is
Beers are cool
Amazing brunch, recommend the spicy garlic wurst. Pancake could be softer, it was very hard. It was summer, inside was very hot and humid, it would be better if there’s a fan.
Had a great time at Otto’s. The place itself is very inviting and unpretentious. I love their selection of beers. The food is also very good.
Delicious brunch and one of my favourite places to grab a beer. Their tap menu is fantastic! Check out their funky washrooms.
Nice atmosphere and great for beer and snacks but, in my opinion, overpriced for the food.
We had a great time! The service and food were great! Will be coming back
I expected a type of atmosphere akin to WRST however I was pleasantly surprised with a amazing open air atmospheric venue, truly an amazing destination.
We had a great experience. We were quite disappointed about the fact there was no red cabbage. Fortunately the food they did have was amazing.
Great vibe, good food and beer. Party light in bathroom is fun.
The food was not really authentic german, more of a fusion of sorts. The beer is the only good thing about the place and if you like pretzels, they were pretty good too. Not a good lunch though.
Very nice place. Unfortunately I came on a Sunday when they only serve brunch. Still delicious food though. I came originally for the Schweinshaxe but this gives me another opportunity to visit this restaurant with my wife.
Great service, good food, good portions, helpful and friendly staff. Worth the money!!
The first time we visited Otto's we had a waiter that was primo. This time we had a waitress that acted like she would rather have been somewhere else and quite frankly the girl cleaning the tables showed a lot more energy. The noise level was very, very loud! I thought for $17.00 my meal should have had more than two spears of asparagus and more avocado would have been nice.
If we would recommend to friends we would say go early to avoid the excessive noise. Also, my friend and I agree that we would much prefer our own table. The two couples beside us talked so loud that I couldn't even hear my friend which was annoying to say the least.
I will say that your bathrooms are rad!!
Amazing experience, loved the food and Aaron was a great server
Highly recommend going. Good food, good beer. But make sure you call for a reservation.
Our third year at Otto’s for Mother’s Day. Food is always solid but could be a better value with the platter format.
With the stipulation that it's extremely loud and the food although good is quite expensive. The sides are small and outrageous in cost.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back.
Food is delicious and fun, great selection of beer on tap
Absolutely love the food here. Expensive but still worth it every time. The only item I didn't really like was the chorizo - not worth getting at a German restaurant. Seems obvious in hindsight LOL. I usually really like the atmosphere here, but they had projectors playing a hockey game. I know I'm just really biased cause I don't like sports but I would have rather appreciated their cool murals.
Fun and different from usual Brunch menu items, good atmosphere and love the bathrooms
