Everything was excellent the wine the food the service thought I was back in Milano
We went here as part of a girls trip and it was one of the greatest dining experiences we’ve each ever had - from the champagne and amuse bouche to start to the delectable desserts to finish. We each got a reserve tasting and ended up taking bottles home with us. The service was fantastic and we could not stop thinking about what a lovely experience we had!
Several of the waitstaff were very rude. Our reservations were for 12, but they didn’t open the doors until well after 12. We were forced to wait outside in the rain and the waitstaff was aware we were out in the rain. Amazing food. Terrible service.
The service was abysmal - and it wasn’t just our table. I’ve never seen anything like it for a higher-end establishment. It was almost like the wait staff hated each other and working there so much that they took it out on the guests. I would never eat here again.
Food was excellent
Wait staff was excellent and attentive
We ate there some years ago and food was outstanding. This time food was not that great
We enjoyed a lovely lunch last week after my son's college graduation from James Madison University. Took the scenic route through the Shenandoah Mountains to
Barboursville Winery. We couldn't have been happier. The food was wonderful, wine delicious and the setting is beautiful, inside and out. The staff did a great job explaining the menu and wine parings and made us feel very much at ease, which was important as it was our first indoor dining experience since COVID changed our world. Highly recommend Palladio!
Outstanding food and wine. Very nice experience. Will return.
This is our very favorite restaurant in the State of Virginia!! Love coming here!!
Never fails to excel. . Tart n risotto w goat superb
Fine wine, gourmet food, attentive wait staff in an intimate setting overlooking the grape vines - it just doesn’t get much better than this!
Nice spot to enjoy Barboursville Winery wines with Italian food.
This was a delightful return trip to Palladio and we were not disappointed.
You will spend 1.5 times what you would spend at other good restaurants near Charlottesville, but it will be worth it. I recommend getting the suggested wine pairing. It is being run by a vineyard and the wines selected for the dishes we got were outstanding. Be sure to order a dessert wine. Their Paxxito won the Governor's Cup this year and the Phileo is outstanding also.
As usual Palladio delivered with delicious options on the menu and impeccable service. Appetizers were just the right size and served hot. The Wagyu steak was prepared perfectly. The red wine flight to accompany the lunch paired beautifully. We can’t wait to go back in the Fall when the menu should me different.
Great service! Great wine! Great food! Would definitely go back for another meal.
Greatfood, pairings, pacing!
We went to celebrate our 35th anniversary. Had a great experience. We would definitely go back for a special occasion.
Palladio is always amazing! Long quiet drawn out lunch with wine pairings, perfect atmosphere and gorgeous view of the mts. Great for special occasions!
The food was incredible. It was an amazing experience!
Our second time eating at Palladio in the last few years and unlike some restaurants, we saw no decline in food quality and creativity due to COVID. The service observed safty standards but has remained excellent and accomedating--we arrived an hour early and they found us seats.
The Octagon wine, we had the 2016, was European quality and better than many other VA wines.
Driving from DE to pick up a new puppy in the Charoltesville area. Stopping at Barboursville winery to pick up supplies. Lunch was a celebration treat!
The food was not only delicious, but featured unusual delicacies like fiddle ferns, which I had only read about. The service is attentive but unhurried, giving ample time to savor each course, and no one was waiting for our table. It was ours for as long as we cared to linger. The dining area is small, attractive and comfortable. A classy restaurant.
Due to the pandemic, we were not able to visit Palladio for over a year. We normally visit quarterly, each time they change the menu. This time was a chance to start to return to normal. We were welcomed by old friends from the wait-staff, and the selections and imaginative choices did not disappoint. We will return again when the menu is changed, and look forward to many more enjoyable Sunday lunches.
Impeccable service, exquisite food, a perfect place for a lovely and memorable celebration
This was a truly delightful Saturday lunch. The ambience was great, the food excellent and the staff outstanding. Mustn't forget the wine, in particular the Cabinet Franc, which was just delicious. Pity we live 800 miles away!!
Both the chef and the service are wonderful and well worth the price. Wine is excellent.
My first meal in a restaurant in over a year, and it was perfect! I will go back whenever I am in the area.
We had a lovely dinner. The appetizer -- fried artichokes -- was not what we had hoped. Plating of the dishes was a little slapdash. Our main dishes were excellent. Our waiter and all the people serving were attentive and professional and could not have been more welcoming or nicer. We had a lovely table facing windows and the sunset. That was much appreciated.
We had lunch, me and my wife, at the Palladio Restaurant last Saturday. The decor is
very pleasant and the service quite professional. I particularly enjoyed the ravioli as
Unfortunately, there is no longer a set price three-course lunch. Therefore, it is an expensive meal (170 $ for two, for a two-course lunch with one wine pairing and one dessert to share).
Nevertheless, it was still an enjoyable experience.
Prompt & discreet service, the food was magnificent & well spaced. Will definitely go back again
A very nice Anniversary lunch. Food and service were excellent. We’re seated in our preferred room at the restaurant.
We have previously dined here and intend to do so more often. Tasted some great wines that were served with the meal.
The staff was amazing. They have a beautiful view and great food. I loved the mix and match flights.
Food was fantastic, server was not. He was very unfriendly. When we only ordered "appetizers" he told us that they weren't very big - in a pretty crappy tone. We interpreted it as him being upset that we weren't eating enough, so his tip would be lousy. The people at the table next to us had a full 3 course meal and he laughed with them. He seemed "short" throughout our meal. Normally I would have tipped him poorly for his behavior. But we decided that, in this very difficult time, he must really need the money. So we tipped him around 35% and left a note saying that he needed to "lighten up". Its been a tough year for all of us!
