A great local haunt with great food and friendly service. Our go-to.
Definately! And my friends and I will be back -- expecially on oyster night and for happy hours.
The food was very good, but we waited too long to get the food. In addition, when we ordered a brownie and ice cream for dessert, we thought we would get it in 5 minutes or so, but nothing came after 10 or 15 minutes (how long does it take to cut a brownie a put a scoop of ice cream on a plate?) We ended up having to tell the waitress that we had to cancel that portion of the order as we were on time constraints to be somewhere else in 20 minutes. She was apologetic. It really wasn't her fault because she wasn't the person to bring out the dinner or the dessert.
I would recommend Park Tavern, but the service could have been better.
Park Tavern is always good. Try to Smoked Essence Manhattan!
Have been here many times, this was the first time sitting at an outside table. As always the food was very good, but the whole experience was spoiled by the following:
- we sampled beer, but were served different beers than we tried and ordered...twice.
- service was painfully slow, the time between receiving the beer samples and getting a chance to order a beer took longer than it did to receive and eat our food. Every choice took forever to receive.
- on and off smoke made its way from the front of the restaurant to the outside tables...
We will probably eat there again, but never outside and I hope the service is better as it seemed out of the ordinary based on previous experiences.
I enjoyed my first visit and will be back. Good selection of food, the food was tasty, and the service was very good.
Have always liked Park Tavern but the food was disappointingly bland this time. Fish and chips were not edible. No specials were on the menu. I understand that there was a change in chefs. Thus seems to have thrown off everything. The service was mediocre as well. They did not even have the little mints they usually have.
The food and drinks were delicious and ambiance is great. When the rush came, our food and drink too a little longer. But nothing that would be reason for me not to go back.
It took our party over an hour to receive our food. It was first explained to us that there were staffing problems in the kitchen. That was later denied by the manager who told us that in fact our server had delayed relaying our dinner choices to the kitchen. The manager then told us we would receive a discount which wasn't reflected in the bill we later received. The server also told us that the fish ordered by two of our party was fresh when indeed it was frozen. Dishonesty all around.
Came late on a Sunday night. Fries were overdone. Brussels sprouts were underdone. Service was okay. Been here many times. First time I was ever disappointed. Late Sunday nights probably not best representation of typical
Sitting bar side, be sure you're ready not to talk to your date!
The food is always good at Park Tavern. I recommend the brussel sprout appetizer and I normally do NOT like brussel sprouts!
My gym buddies and I decided to re-visit Park Tavern for one of the girls Birthdays. The entire experience was AWESOME. They surprised us with a sweet treat for our Birthday girl and everyone loved Park Tavern, our waitress, our food and our specialty drinks. We go every month and it just keeps getting better. I recommend Park Tavern to all my friends. Thank you for making our evening so special. Delighted and very happy customer, Pennie Burroughs
We've had several average (at best) experiences in the past but it is really close by, the atmosphere is good, and my kids were begging to go so given that it has been average-or-miss, we took another shot this past week. The good news is that the kids have finally realized that Park Tavern is frankly not very good and that there are lots of better places to go, at least in terms of a dining experience. Common issues that have occurred on multiple occasions include: Screwing up orders, extremely slow food delivery, incorrect checks (always too much rather than too little). If I wanted to meet a friend for a drink, I might consider Park Tavern again, but we will definitely not be going to back for the poor food and mediocre service.
Delicious food--very extensive brunch menu--reasonable prices, and the service is wonderful. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area, but the Park Tavern is one of the best.
Went for their burger night - very reasonable price for a great burger. Little noisy, but server was excellent.
Honestly it was awful. Bad service bad food... second to last time was the same thing. No more chances. We have had to talk to the manager the last 3-4 times we went there.
Food took quite a while (30+ min). 2.5 out of 3 entrees were nearly room temperature. The to-go entree was brought with all of our meals so it was definitely cold when I got home.
Food was really good — certainly better than other tavern food I’ve had. Great beer selection too.
Great food and service! Well definitely go back again.
Went for dinner with another couple on a Sunday night. Nachos with chili were good appetizer but sandwiches that we had for dinner were not as good. The place was very busy so service was a bit slow. Recommend this place for weekend brunch instead which features a better menu.
All the food was very good, particularly the burgers and their wonderful warm apple crisp with a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream. Service was good and informative, but could have been a little more attentive. Several times we had to search for our waiter when we wanted something. He should have checked back more often. But, overall, enjoyed the meal and experience and would return.
Ethan was wonderful! Will definitely be coming back!
We did not end up eating here. We waited over 5 minutes for the hostess to even appear at the desk, then had to wait while she seated 2 other parties. Once at our table we waited another 10 minutes for our waitress to come to our table. We asked if the kitchen was going to be slow too. She told us our food would take 30 minutes to prepare. We left and went somewhere else.
I have eaten many times at Park Tavern and, although it can be noisy, have had very positive experiences. However, when I went to brunch on Saturday morning, the service was slow, even though there weren't many customers there yet. Also, our egg dishes, that both included lump crab, were only lukewarm when we got them. We think it might be because they put cold lump crab into hot egg dishes. They tasted good, but weren't hot when we received them. My guest sent hers back and the second one arrived in the same condition. I will continue to go to Park Tavern because past experiences have been good and because there are so few sit-down restaurants in Severna Park
Good food and drinks, great service. Good variety in the menu.
We love Park Tavern! We are always seated in one of the booths, the waitstaff is phenomenal, very attentive to us and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food is absolutely delicious!
Second time I've been in where there are not a lot of people but took forever to get service. The food is amazing though which is why I keep coming back!
Our server, Zach, was excellent. He tried very hard to make sure we were good. The food was absolutely delicious. The only issue with it was that the fries with the burger were warm, not hot. They must have been sitting around a while before they were plated, or the plate sat for a while. Either way, Zach was attentive, made sure we were happy, and really made for a great date night. This was our second time visiting Park Tavern, and we’ll be back.
Our Server Bri was best server we’ve experience over various visits. The amount of mussels in the special curry sauce special was enormous. I had the Filet was very tasty and tender. It came with large portion of loaded mash potatoes in its own iron pot Very nice out, Thanks Bri and Park Tavern. Place is very loud, conversations must must kick up the volume.
I made reservations through open table and was seated at our selected time with no problems on a fairly busy Friday night. Upon being seated our waitress was very prompt and very friendly. I really like the setting and ambience, low light with a mix of booths and tables., nice modern finishes. We got the Thai shrimp appetizer which was very good and similar to bang bang shrimp. There were 3 of us and we got the burger, chicken sandwich and I had the Korean Tacos, they were all very good and fresh tasting. Also, I ordered a Margarita which was very strong and had one of their draft beers which was also very good along with a couple of big shots. Definitely will be coming back.
Park Tavern servers are the best around, and their happy hour can’t be beat!
Started with the French toast bites and chicken nachos. Don’t judge me.
French Toast bites were sugary and sweet. Cooked to perfection.
Chicken nachos had a decent amount of pulled chicken but lacked enough cheese. Left about 1/4 of the plate with uncheesed chips.
Ordered the bottomless brunch. Honestly one of these bloody Mary’s was enough. The amount of vodka in the glass to start was crazy. Make your own spicy Bloody Mary with all of the fixings was great.
We got omelettes for our main course. One bacon and cheese, one harvest and one southwestern with chorizo. All were cooked perfectly and packed full with cheese and bacon and sausage and mushrooms and everything else they came with.
Lastly we ordered the Nutella Waffles. Two giant Belgian waffles drizzled with Nutella and sprinkled with powdered sugar and topped with bananas. NUFF SAID! Order these!!!!
Our server was great. Park Tavern has food runners so even if your server is busy your food isn’t sitting under a heating lamp. Everything came out hot and fresh.
This is a great neighborhood gem for weekend brunch. The Mimosa, Bellini and Bloody Mary bar IS AMAZING!
The food...always great.
The staff...wonderful as always.
The management team and being assigned a new server saved our experience at Park Tavern. This is actually one of our neighborhood favorites so we were really thankful to the staff and management team for stepping in and making our experience very enjoyable as it always was in our many past visits. All I can say to the fist server is that she is not cutout for this line of work.
We always enjoy our meals and the service we receive from Park Tavern. We like the lively atmosphere.
The food and service both have gone down hill. The service is slow. It took over 20 minutes to get drinks after we placed our order. The bartender prepared the order and we could see our order sitting on the bar but the waiter was extremely slow in coming back to our table and it was only 4:30 and it wasn't busy in the restaurant. The waiter wasn't interested in taking our food order and we sat another 30 minutes with the menus on the table waiting to give our food order to the waiter. Several staff were walking around yet no one stopped to ask us if we were ready to order. When the waiter finally took our food order it took another 30-40 minutes for our food /sandwiches to come out of the kitchen and when they arrived three of the five plates were cold and not hot and also the french fries were cold. The sour dough sandwiches were slightly buttered and were not grilled. It was like eating cold white bread. We will not be returning to Park Tavern. It was very disappointing. We left with most of our food on the table and the waitstaff never asked if our food was o.k. Lost revenue because the attitude is that they just don't care anymore.
This establishment since opening has gone from good to mediocre to poor. The menu seems rather limited the food is definitely mediocre on our last visit it was very poor. Turkey with Brie sandwich. Turkey was dry, could not find any Brie and bread tasted like several days old. The only reason we didn’t send it back was that we were hungry and in a hurry. Place is probably good for happy hour but since we don’t drink it’s off our list
I’ve reviewed this restaurant before with great remakes however I feel like it’s going down hill. They keep changing their menu and get rid of stuff that was actually good. The food we had this visit was just ok. My sons order was messed up so we had to wait for them to make his cheeseburger and for a 5 year old to wait is a life time. My husbands steak and spinach salad was horrible. He ate the steak and some pieces of spinach and couldn’t eat anymore of it because it was drowned in bacon grease. Think we’re going to have to look into finding another regular spot for us cause I’m kind of over this place.
Everything was great but it was a little to loud for my 85 year old mother. Take that with a grain of salt.
