Parkside District - Atlanta
I have been here over 15 times and I’m pretty sure after this last visit, I will not return. TERRIBLE SERVICE from a waiter who had a “no” mindset. 20 minutes to take drink order only to find out 10-15 minutes later no Bombay... 30 plus minutes to get a drink? Had to order 3 times before I finally landed on one that you actually had in stock. The manager was a joke. The whole experience was laughable.
Great ambiance, food and music. Love the decor
Nice restaurant with live music and good food.
Servers and hostesses are awesome.
Food was amazing. Came in later than expected and was greeted rather rudely, despite the restaurant still being open and serving other tables. A better hostess would brighten the place up!
We arrived on time and we were only one of about 4 parties in the restaurant at our reservation time. They sat us back to back to another party and certainly not very far apart. We ordered drinks, one of them being a smoked old fashion, when they brought them out they said the smoke machine was broke but here's a regular old fashion. They should have asked if we wanted to change our drink order, and the regular old fashion was a small pour with very little flavor. Our server had zero personality and the food was just OK. Probably not going back, this was the 3rd time since they opened it's not gotten any better, it's maybe gotten worse.
The Manager was very unwelcoming when we came in but we did not let it ruin our experience. His response when we walked in at 11:53, when they open at 12, "We aren't quite open yet!" Not a great way to invite in 1st time guests. No hello first but we waited patiently. The hostess, server & buss boy after him made us feel really welcome after that. We will definitely return despite the Manager being off pudding. The food was awesome & we loved how quiet it was, with 90s R&B playing in the background. I was singing along through most of our lunch.
The brisket was the best I have ever had. We will be back for more!
Got there about 10 minutes ahead of reservation and had zero issue getting seated. Once we sat down, waitress came over, and because of the noise, the masks, and maintaining distance we could barely hear her. She took our drink order then let us know that the kitchen was extremely backed up, so it would be best to go ahead and order. Before we ordered, we asked what the time frame would be to get our food and she told us 45 minutes to an hour; and the people next to us had already been waiting an hour. So unfortunately we decided not to stay. Which is sad because this was our first time here and we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we were extremely disappointed! On a side note, our waitress was extremely nice and kudos to her for being honest and upfront about the kitchen struggles! But even with that, more than likely would not go back... first impressions mean a lot!
Food was really good but the service needs help. We did miss our original reservations but the host seated us anyway. It took a while for a server to take our order and we had to flag her down The wings and seafood boil is AMAZING! And prices for what we ordered were rally good! WE'LL RETURN FOR SURE!
Amazing definitely would go back I think I will keep going until I try everything on the menu. It was absolutely amazing.
it was very good! We were passing through and wanted something different. would recommend to anyone.
Again, a great place to connect with friends, knowing that the food and service is excellent.
Been here many times. Unfortunately service was very poor and no one really enjoyed their food. Food was also cold when it finally arrived.
It was great. We arrived at 8:45 and had to order fast because the kitchen and bar close at 9pm! But it was good
This night was a miss for Parkside which was unfortunate. Very very very noisy party in the private room. Very inattentive waitress. Also ordered from specials which was incredibly spicy and was not listed so under description. Additionally extremely crowded in light of COVID-19. Would not recommend this time around.
This spot was perfect! The food was really really good and along with the ambiance we definitely will be returning !
We were a bit disappointed that they did not have the oysters like it said on Open Table, but other than that, the ambiance was nice, the food was pretty good. The service could have been a touch better as they brought out our main dish at the same time as our appetizers. Priced a bit high for the portion size. We would probably go back again.
Went out for anniversary dinner. Area we sat was very pretty but loud due to the exhaust fans up above.
Server was very friendly but obviously not very seasoned didn’t recommend any of the specials I didn’t realize there was one I would like until after I had already ordered and she had put the order in. Octopus was mushy and had weird texture. Tomato bisque was delicious, Parkside salad was OK but the dressing was lacking something. Ordered the smoked combo with the brisket and the ribs and was extremely disappointed. The brisket was ridiculously fatty and hardly had any meat on it and the ribs were very tough and hard to chew. The sides were good we had the Gouda grits and the corn and they were delicious as usual. We ordered a dessert to go which was the tiramisu and that was awful. The ladyfingers had essentially dissolved and there was a banana flavoring which didn’t belong in the tiramisu at all.
This restaurant used to be phenomenal unfortunately it does need some work with the menu items being cooked properly, And the staff needs more training
I highly recommend this restaurant. The ambiance is super fun and friendly.
My girlfriends and I came here for dinner and drinks. The cocktails were delicious, although they're definitely not cheap! We all ordered appetizers and salads- everything tasted good. The calamari sort of stuck together so there were large clumps of squid tentacles without breading, but the flavor was spot on. The cobb salads some of the girls ordered were humongous- and looked amazing. We sat outside in their sort of indoor/outdoor area and it was quite comfortable. Servers are all wearing masks. Will definitely be back!
My only complaint was the entree I selected. I ordered the risotto and the rice was hard. It was not smooth and creamy as it should have been. When I told the waiter, he said he would let the cook know.... and that was it. The 34$ dish was not worth the price even though the scallops and shrimps were delicious.
Lunch with a friend during business hours.
Amazing staff. Beautiful scenery. Great food. Quick service
It was a really nice restaurant and the ambience was nice. The food was very tasteful and hot and came out pretty fast.
Great food and love music! We will definitely go again. The boiled platter was amazing and HUGE!
This was my lady's first time dining here. The food was amazing, she mentioned wanting seafood and this llace was right on time. We will definitely be coming back.
Although the food and drinks were decent the service was not great and there were not that many customers in the restaurant.
Our server was pretty new but she tried her best and we was happy
Set a reservation for 8pm Saturday night, August 29th. Let the restaurant know it was an Anniversary dinner. Not one acknowledgement.... Ok, I’ll give that a pass
However, after being seated we didn’t get acknowledged at our table for over 15 mins. Took almost 30 to get a drink of water, and 45 mins for our wine, which came out wrong the first time. The Waiter is overwhelmed big time, not his fault. My steak was burnt, my wife’s crab cake tasted like the muddy part of the Chesapeake Bay, and had a very fishy smell to it. I’m from Baltimore, I know what old crab meat smells like. If you consider the high price, the “cake” was mostly breading. We told the manager the crab cake was bad, and tastes really fishy, and he goes to the OPEN KITCHEN and pulls his mask down and tastes the crab cake we just ate from. WOW!! COVID much? We’ve been tested and had negative results, but he doesn’t know that. Then, this couple behind us decided to forgo the music here and bring their own! 😮 playing Cardi B’s WAP very loud from their phone. Clearly several guests were unhappy with it. The waiters, staff and manager passed by without even a word. Thank God it was at the end of our meal. After the manager came and took the crab cake away, we never saw him again. We waited another 5-10 minutes before we got up and found our waiter to ask for the check. The manager didn’t bring the check and say sorry, the waiter did. Upon leaving we didn’t get so much as a wave, or “have a good evening” from the hostess table. The male staff member and two young woman were too busy giggling amongst themselves. Just truly shows the lack of leadership, and poor customer service skills all around. On a good note, the appetizers were good, though cold, as they were obviously sitting under the heat lamp on the line (cold food, wilted greens) and my wife’s Short Ribs were very good. A better managed team, and this place can be excellent.
Waited over an hour for our food that never arrived. I’m disappointed as I was eager to find a new “go to” restaurant. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. The food smelled delicious and the atmosphere was great.
Great food and ambiance. Service was a bit slow.
This place has the feel and attitude (and the prices) of a fine dining establishment. Food was super average and the service was very poor unfortunately. We have been there twice now with the same results.
This was our second time there, the first with the new menu changes. The food and service were great! We’ll be back.
3rd time was not a charm. Have always enjoyed Parkside District. Server was new and should have been properly trained before waiting on customers. She messed up several items including drinks from the bar. Probably won’t go back after this experience.
Awesome experience, food and drinks were great
We went there for a family dinner for my mother's 81st birthday (it was her choice). The music was so loud & totally didn't fit the venue (think club music). Because the waitress couldn't hear well when we ordered several of our orders were incorrect & they brought out my daughter's side dishes well before anyone else's food came out. And our appetizers & salads came out with our entrees. They never asked us about dessert. And they tacked on an 18% gratuity for a party of 5. It was not a great experience & I am dissappoointed that it put a damper on my mother's birthday celebration.
A great spot to eat at in Lawrenceville. Perfect for date night and great for a fun weekend meal.
I've been there many times before. They are a bit pricey but their service, food, and ambience used to be somewhat better. My recent dining experience there was overall awful. Overall food was blend. Calamari was more of the batter with no taste. Octopus was not fresh. Although server was doing his best but service and food were slow than usual to come out. No team work among severs. Utensils were missing on our table when food finally served. We asked server serving next to us for utensils. Rather to provide utensils from the empty table next to us. She went to get our sever in the back to bring us the utensils. When provided, oddly, we were told they were short of utensils for the night. My family was left dissatisfied and disappointed with the food and service. Will not return back there.
The service was very poor despite the star rating of the restaurant. We were given dirty paper menus. For them to be paper I would have expected them to be throwing them away. I asked for a sauce to go with my appetizer from two different waiters and never got it. There was not much knowledge of the menu by our waitress but maybe she was new. It took forever to get our entrees despite the dining areas not being busy I'm sure because of Covid. The ambiance is nice but that's about it. I will not be returning.
