The food was poorly seasoned we had to add salt to our steak and sea bass. The chocolate cake was cold hard and dry! My salad was suppose to come before my food however it was the last item in our table! I was celebrating my 60th birthday and wanted my meal to be memorable in a good way. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. Thank God Alisha had several items removed from our bill that’s what I’ll remember!
After waiting 30 minutes with no sign of a waiter I took our menus inside and tried to order food and drink from the bar. Thirty minutes later we received our food, but still no drink. I think an hour was a bit long to wait for a glass of wine. And they tried to blame the delay on us arriving 5 minutes early for our reservation. I will say that our drinks were free and the food was quite good.
Our meal was very good, expensive for the area we thought though. Service was fine, the entertainment was not very good! Outdoor option was beautiful! Should have done that!
The woman who seated us was rude. We had reserved a table for outdoor seating, which she would not give to us. She said we would have to wait an additional 2 hours for a table outside. That was the whole reason why we chose this restaurant. This all would have been no big deal if she would have been nice. Since she was rude, it sort of destroyed the mood and the rest of the evening.
Food was great, Andrea our server was perfect, great experience.
The steaks were truly delicious and came quickly. We had a wait a bit longer for our wine, but the server compensated us by giving us a free glass--a nice gesture. Overall, it was a pleasant end of our travel day to Niagara Falls. My only complaint is that the AC was too cold!
The restaurant doesn't have enough servers to accommodate the number of diners. This is not a place to dine if you have limited time.
One of the WORST experience ever. These people haven’t updated the menu on Open table. After 9PM, there is a late night menu which doesn’t include steak. The whole purpose of going to steakhouse is to have a steak, which after 9PM can’t be done.
The sandwich wasn’t good, drink was too sweet. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Seriously disappointed. Staff was bad too. If possible would have given 0 ratings.
The service wasn’t good at all. Took a very long time. The food for the value was definitely not worth it at all.
The website wasn't updated to reflect changes in the birthday promotion. Bait and switch?? The waitress had no clue about any birthday promotion (she said she worked there for 4 years and never heard of it) and the manager came out and said the promotion had changed and the waitress was new?? So, instead of any steak for $12 we got $25 off any steak. Pretty much double the cost.
The our waitress disappeared for 15 minutes even though we knew what we wanted to order when I inquired about the birthday promotion. I had to ask the hostess to find her so we could order.
Then we had to ask for water refills twice before we got one, and had to ask for the complimentary bread basket 3 times (the last we asked the manager) before we got that. We had to ask them to take the menus off the table as well.
I didn't have the scale but the steak was not 16 ounces. Maybe 8.
To her credit the manager did gift us two free desserts for the bad service but we won't be recommending or visiting again. The price we paid definitely didn't correlate to the crappy service we got.
Took forever to get drinks and appetizers and food came at the same time. A lot of money for food that cold because you couldn’t eat it all at once.
Service was impeccable. Food was delicious. Didn't expect it to be so nice!!
The steak was okay but not worth the high price. It was warm and I can excuse that as I ordered medium rare. But it had no flavor. The potatoes were a bit gummy. However my dining partner enjoyed the pasta. But for such an expensive steak I was looking for more “wow” and I got ho hum.
My family and I enjoyed our dinner at Parkway Prime but the super slow service and inattentive waitress made our visit less than ideal. I realize they were likely short-staffed but we were there for over an hour before our food arrived at our table and this was on a Wednesday evening. Adding to that, our waitress never once refilled or even offered to refill our drinks throughout our meal. We could've just had a poor server but this reflects on the restaurant and not just the person. I will still give it 3 stars and a yes for a recommendation as we did enjoy the food and the atmosphere was very nice. As most restaurants are still trying to recover from being shut down, I will easily give them 3 stars and not 2. This restaurant may just need a little more time to get everything back up and running more smoothly.
My friend and I had breakfast and dinner here during our visit to Niagara Falls.
We did not have a reservation. The host was clearly very overwhelmed with the volume of guests and their tone was less than warm/welcoming. Despite that, we understood the busy weekend demands and opted to wait 25min for a table. We were seated inside between two families. We waited a total of 6 minutes before we were greeted by our server. A couple that was seated outside a few minutes before us had ween waiting at least 15min before being approached with water. We did not complain. The servers were all pretty busy but friendly. The food came out well plated and in a timely manner. My chicken sausage was overdone and already cool. The vegetables in my friend's omlet were not mixed in with the egg, only placed in the center with the egg folded over. Coffee was hot and plenty. 6 out of 10.
We made a reservations for the high top tables outside. Our server was lovely and made great recommendations for wine. The steak my friend order was perfect. The salmon I ordered was the most tender I have ever enjoyed. I didn't even need the side of dill sauce. My brussel sprouts were under cooked but the mashed potatoes were the perfect consistency. We felt so comfortable that we ended up staying for a second bottle of wine and cheesecake. We could not have asked for better weather or service that night. 8 out of 10
53 minutes from the time we were seated until there was bread or a salad on our table. 35 minutes before our drink order showed up. 1 hour 10 minutes to entrees.
Staff was unprofessional, manager was loud and obnoxious with guests.
Food wasn’t prepared correctly. Undercooked meat, old mashed potatoes that were crusty Just a really bad experience.
Filet was great! Service was outstanding! Couldn’t ask for a better meal or atmosphere.
It was crowded and we still recieved our food in what I would consider a reasonable amount of time. Our waitress was very pleasant and the ambience was wonderful.
Food was mediocre for the price. Not a real steakhouse. Felt more like a hotel restaurants which it was. The only saving grace was the desserts which were amazing.
Everything was ala carte. We split a Caesar salad but the server gave us bread and butter plates for our salad. Should have been a salad plate. We had to wait quite a bit. The service was slow but we found that everywhere in Niagara Falls - no help! The filet was ok - not a lot of flavor. The drink - In the Mist - was excellent and there was a view of the river from the patio. I am sure hoping that things will improve when people get back to work! I would recommend the place because we found that there weren’t a lot of nice places to eat in Niagara Falls, NY.
Fantastic friendly service from the hostess and the waitress. The food was some of the best that I had while in Niagara Falls area for a week. Loved the Chorizo and Chicken Bow tie Pasta, I finished the plate even though I really was full before the plate was empty.
We had a reservation for 7:45 but was seated at 8:35, took order around 9pm. Understaffed, exhausted staff. It’s a pity since the food was pretty good.
I took my husband here for dinner for his birthday he enjoyed it, however we don't drink alcohol and it would have been nice if there was more variety of juices to drink instead of the typical apple, orange and cranberry.
Good casual dining spot, beautiful views of the water and a nice restaurant layout. Food was good, not the best ever and I do think it’s overpriced, but overall good. Our service was great, we had a reservation and walked right in to our table, had a great experience with Yvonne!
“Our” table was taken so they had us standing there and seated others that came in after, then brought the wrong food 3 times. Finally brought steaks an no side dishes for 30 min later until after steaks done. Took around 2 hours. Overall bad experience for so so food. To their defense their is a big staffing issue in New York right now.
The service was very slow to get food out. The potatoes were not seasoned
Husband and I celebrated our 40th Anniversary. This restaurant wasn’t our first choice but we wanted a good steak. The waitress was super friendly and attentive just enough. There was a wedding going on in another area of the hotel but many of the guests were drinking in the bar and it was super noisy and crowded so we elected to eat outside. It was super windy out but warm. We both got the filet and both were over cooked but tasty and edible. The menu linked to open table is not updated. Everything was at least a dollar more but the entrees did not come with anything like open table says. You had to buy everything a la cart. The waitress did surprise us with a dessert to share for our anniversary. Over all we would go back. I did enjoy my pricey In The Mist drink. My husband was disappointed with the beer selection.
We ordered 3 filet they were not cooked as ordered and they were cold. We waited a long time so we ate them. They did have a very good taste but not warm. Served a cold baked potato that was old old old. Also had a huge bad spot in it. This I did return. The next potato was warm but was also a steamed old potato. The color was yellow and very starchy. Not a true baked potato. For the price I expect a little better. Drinks went unfilled many times and they were served in such small glasses that sodas and waters were empty several times during the meal.
Quick overnight in Niagara Falls was topped off with a very nice dining experience at Parkway Prime, food was excellent, service was friendly, atmosphere on the back patio was quiet.
Atrocious service. Waited 50 mins past my 7:30 reservation and there were about 20 other tables in similar situations. Front desk had multiple meltdowns and telling everyone who she didn’t care. The amount of attitude was off the charts from the front desk and manager.
The food was not worth the wait. They had to redo my son’s order multiple times.
This restaurant is in a convenient location - inside the Doubletree and very close to the Falls. But I would avoid until they fix their management.
Thank you for your feedback, and I apologize for the lack of standards presented that evening. The head manager did have the evening off and from your feedback provides valuable continuous training. We have made adjustments on how we will be handling seating moving forward and our restaurant continues to evolve as we increase staff. I will hope you give us another opportunity because our entire limited team works very hard. Thank you for your time.
The food was the only thing stopping this from being a 1 star. 2 top, took 2 hours and 25 minutes to dine, and not because we were enjoying our time.
- 20 min to get asked what we wanted to drink, and lots more waiting to actually get it.
-Food actually came too fast after getting soup and salad.
-And then we waited over 25 minutes of being completely done before our server came over to ask if we wanted dessert/ the bill. She’d disappear for long periods of time.
We understand they were most likely understaffed a bit, but the manager was terrible and we didn’t even ask to speak to her. (slamming plates when clearing a table, and acting annoyed when another table couldn’t remember.
which salads they ordered). Hostess seemed worthless as the manager took over her job too and after that hostess just wandered. Tip: instead of trying to fill every seat with the line of people waiting, perhaps just say your reservations are booked and you don’t have anything available for a few hours- give the servers some time to breathe.
Pretty decent food, but also pretty high prices for a hotel restaurant. Wouldn’t return.
Very bad experience was very disappointing since it was a friends birthday and we weren’t from here
Waitress was inattentive to the needs of our table, and to the needs of surrounding tables. She did not check on us once. When she came to take our order, I asked for a wet rag to remove dried food from the previous table and she went and took another table’s order who was seated after us. Another neighboring table was seated and waited 25 minutes before they even had their drink order taken. We had been there one and a half hours before our entrée made it to our table. When the $110 dinner for two tomahawk steak finally made it to our table, it was cold as it had been sitting for a while. When these issues were addressed with the manager, she stated that people don’t want to work because of the pandemic. I feel that’s a poor excuse for the lack of service. If that is the case however, they should seat guests in a manner that doesn’t overwhelm the staff, not to how many tables are available.
The displays were so lovely. The room opened a few minutes late, but it was worth the wait. Most moms got a flower, but it was not consistent. They had a sax player, NICE touch. Our waitress Sandra was kind, attentive, snd patient with my kids. Plenty of wait staff, all of them greeted us as we passed by. The prime rib was very good. All the sea food was correct temperature and good. The only item not good was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were so hard you could hurt someone with them. Too long of wait at the carving station. The dessert table was fantastic, lots of variety. If you are at the Parkway, you have to mention the view right! The river view from almost every table. Sarah the banquet director outdid herself. Thanks for the great Mother’s Day brunch.
needed to find a restaurant last minute to celebrate my birthday & im glad we came here. i knew from looking at reviews i didnt have to worry. food was good. our waiter sandy was very helpful & polite. definitely an excellent atmosphere, wasnt overcrowded. perfect place to come if you’re celebrating something .
We had a party of 10. One person had alcohol the rest of us had water and felt like we kept having to ask for pitchers to be filled up. Our brother got the 44 dollar steak and it was not good tasted as if it was soaked in water for days before it was cooked. The rest of the items were very unseasoned and tasteless. We had reservations for 630 and we were there for 3 hours! We waited for 2 hours for food!
Food was good, however our first experience there was amazing. Maybe they changed chefs. Food is still worth it just not as good as it was pre-pandemic.
Sandy the waitress was so pleasant and nice. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and it was everything we had hoped it would be.
Very pretty view of river. Food was good. Service was a little slow, but over all not a bad place unwind and enjoy a meal
Great food and service! We will definitely be back! Our server was excellent, she did a great job of reading the table. She connected with us and made us feel important. I would love to have her as a server again!!
