Patron's Corner- Gaslamp
Not enough wait staff to handle the influx of customers during busy week of Cisco Live Tech conference.
Too expensive and small portions. Defínelly, a place for tourists
We ordered an appetizer that never came and another item that my husband ordered never came. At least these were not included on the bill. No one came to check on us after we got our food.
I asked my hotel for recommendations on any vegan/vegetarian-friendly restaurants under the heading of Mexican food, and this was on their short list. Oddly, even right after a baseball game, there was practically no one there on a Friday. I got tofu enchiladas, which the server warned me were spicy. I’m a fan, so I got that, some guacamole, and a pineapple-based margarita. It was all very good (and spicy). Wish I’d seen the place more lively, but it certainly wasn’t slow due to the quality of food. Slightly pricy, in my opinion as a Chicagoan.
Food was good, but it took a very long time for a party of 4 to get served. The staff seemed overwhelmed by a half full restaurant.
Patron's corner was very good. We had the ceviche and guacamole to start. Very tasty! You cant go wrong with the margaritas either! Only two waiters that night abs there were a few big groups, so service was a little on the slow side but the food more than .ade up for it!
Enjoyed our dinner and visit very well. Was disappointed that they would only accept 1 Passport Dining card vs. the 2 that we normally experience. I expected at least a 20% discount vs the lowest cost meal that we received. Not a huge deal but did not live up to the standards we have come to expect. Would go back again but would be a little more selective in what I ordered as a result.
Again: the food is effing amazing. Can’t say enough good things about the food. Love the separate vegan menu!
Fantastic flavors! Every single one of our party was blown away by the food. Loved the separate vegan menu!
We had a fabulous meal at Patron’s Corner! It was a perfect location to rest or weary bodies after a long day of standing on the tradeshow floor at the SD convention center. Just a block off the hustle-bustle of Fifth Avenue, it offered the perfect combination of class, comfort, ambiance, service and quality food and drinks.
We were entertaining clients from Canada who were not as familiar with Mexican food. We all chose something different, and everyone loved their entrées, not to mention the delicious tequila drinks and cocktails. I went with our waiter’s scallops recommendation, and they were by far the best scallops I have ever eaten. We all left the restaurant more than satisfied, our clients wishing they could take this tasty food home with them. Lucky for me, I live close enough that I’ll be back!
Went for dinner at around 7.00 pm on a Sunday night. There was no-one eating in restaurant just 2 guys at the bar. Is this restaurant going to survive? Only 2 other customers in restaurant by the time I left.
Service was friendly and good. Food average. Beef and prawn burrito - more rice than meat and prawn. House Margarita was very good and have an impressive selection of Tequillas.
Loved the food. Wonderful Huevos Rancheros. The shrimp & scallop ceviche was very fresh & flavorful. Highly recommend this restaurant.
